We are on the same cruise as the rest of you...We made ressies @ Nachi Cocum me, DH, & our 5yr old...is anyone else worried about taking a taxi there?

We were also planning on going to Sea Grape in Grand Cayman, & maybe trying the aquarium & walking around Key West.

Woohoo - just picked up our fish extender gifts today!! Hope you will all like them.

We are going to use a Pink Princess canvas bag as a FE for our cabin - hope that will work out - I just need to figure out how to attach it to the fish...it does have straps but maybe need to attach something to make it more secure?

We are leaving 5 weeks today - that is so amazing, I am sure it will fly by...but it brings home how much weight I have to lose Damn.

I am going to see what I can do right now to get caught up on this thread....I haven't been on for a few days and I feel hopelessly lost.

Now, for some bad news.......my Land's End order arrived today. *SIGH* Ok, everything fit, just didn't quite looked right. The shorts were a bit big (which is good I know but not the best fit regardless for my body). The bottoms of both swimsuits looked great but the tops -- well, let's just say they didn't work out. On a positive note -- my swim shoes fit and feel FABULOUS! Like Cinda, I think I could wear them with socks (they look like tennis shoes almost) and then remove socks to wear them in the water. Ok, so it all goes back AND I think I am done trying this mail order clothes thing. I will spend Friday returning the Disney swimsuits and the Land's End suits. Oh well!

If it makes you feel better, I've returned 2 swim tops, 1 pair of shorts, a rashguard, and changed the order on the swim bottoms! I basically overshot the sizes, thus had to redo everything! Adam's swimsuit is a little too big, but I think the next size down would be too small.... He likes it, so I guess I'll leave him alone. I have a few more things coming, but I'm hoping they fit (mainly the shoes)! Since my water shoes are the same size and fit perfectly, I think the MJs will be fine. If you live near a Sears that has the LandsEnd stuff in stock, you might just try things on. I wish our Sears has them, but they don't...

My Land's End stuff came in the mail today too. I love the water shoes. I haven't tried on the other stuff I ordered yet because my best friend from Phildelphia came down to visit and get his taxes done. We own a tax business so this is an annual ritual at this point. It was a fun and busy day. Hopefully tomorrow I'll try the stuff on and see if I have anything to return. I hope not. I hate returning mail-order items.

I really need to check every night the new posts, I'm soo far behind.

Wow, so many people have gotten the Mary Janes too, we'll all be so cute. Well I hope mine will be in by cruise time. I got them almost 2 weeks ago and then had to send them back and reorder a smaller size so I'm waiting on my new package.

I would never be able to get my hubby into a tux either. He will be bring a black suit to do double duty on the formal and semi-formal nights. I bought 2 dresses this past weekend from Belk, one is a long strapless dress that super comfy and one is VERY mult-colored. It's much brighter and busier than anything I would ever wear around here, but it's a cruise so it will be my official party dress.

I'm also struggling with my packing list. I'm good with the dinner clothes and knowing I'll need lots of shorts and t-shirts, but I'm trying to figure out how much I'll be changing after dinner and the shows to go to the clubs. I'm definately someone who prefers comfort over style! lol

Cinda & Mati- Your FE's look great, glad you finally got them in!

V- Congrats on your new position!!!

I think I'm going to go to the tanning bed once per week until cruise time to at least get a little base tan. Once I get started I can tan pretty good, but no matter how tan I get my nose, cheeks, and shoulders ALWAYS burn.

I'm going to get back to watching IDOL results but I'll probably thing of something else to get on here to talk about! As I patiently wait on our stateroom assignment!

Me too. I wore them when I walked today - just to make sure they were comfy/ wouldn't rub a blister anywhere. Good news! They are awesome! LOL!
I got the Vintage Olive ones.

My DH is not wearing a tux on formal night - he'll wear a suit that night and I bought a formal dress. I've ordered a little jacket for Joel to wear with a white dress shirt/khaki pants and a tie.
On the semi-formal night, I'll wear a dress with sandals and he'll wear a shirt/tie/slacks but probably not a jacket. I was able to find a couple of those dresses that you can roll up and they don't wrinkle, so I'll bring those for dinners. They'll be easy to pack.

Pirate night: we are kind of going "all out." Joel has a pirate costume that he wore for Halloween, so he'll be decked out head to boots. Dennis and I are wearing white shirts with ruffles down the front with a pirate sash. We have pirate hats and rings too. I found some cute piratey capris and flip-flops with a skull & crossbones on them and he'll probably wear jeans.

Other than that, I have no idea what clothes we are bringing. LOL!

Jane: Network printers are the BEST! I love ours! We have a Brother brand that we bought about 18 months ago. I can sit on my couch using my laptop and print whatever I need, which is really nice. I need to use it to print the rest of my FE gifts this coming weekend! I'm going to box the gifts up and mail them to the ship, as they take up a ton of room in my luggage (tried it...won't work)!

I broke down yesterday and bought another Landsend swimsuit as well as a pair of the Mary Jane Trekkers! I needed some new tennis shoes and I wanted something "lighter." I'm hoping the Trekkers will fit that description! Plus, I'd love to wear flipflops and sandals, but my toe isn't healing as well as I'd like. It's been 4 weeks and while it's not "open," it's still not healed. I figure I may have to wear closed-toe shoes if things don't improve over the next few weeks... I'm just praying they fit...

I'm going to try and push him to do the research and buy something this weekend. I stayed late at work today to print a couple of things for our countdown, but I really don't want to do that for my FE stuff and door magnets.

I'm now sorry I didn't order the mary janes to fit in with everyone. Oh well...

I just thought I would pop in and let you that I have not fallen off the end of the earth. I have lots to catch up on. I have missed you guys.

Gee, sounds like fun?? Actually I secont Ottermouse and Cinda Thanks for defending the good ol USA. How about picture frame for the teens? Almost everyone of them that I know take a ton of pictures.

I could throttle Tony! Months I have been asking him to check his suit (he is doing suit, not tux to answer the actual question); MONTHS! He has just announced he thinks the trousers will be too small on his suit! I do not know when we are going to get time to go shopping the next few weekends for a new one, and I am pretty sure he won't be losing much weight to fit in to the existing ones, with a weekend of chocolate eggs coming up! MEN! Why must they leave everything so last minute?!

I know you'll be in Orlando early, you could always drag Tony to the outlet malls around WDW and buy something there.

As for the chocolate tart -- it was as rich and delicious as it looked but not near as big as the picture makes it look. It did take me 2 days to eat it (sorry Sonya, did not do you proud) and was dark chocolate (my favorite!). YUMMMMMM

I think the canvas bag will work just fine. I've read that a lot of people use the electric zipties to keep the FE from taking a walk away from your cabin. Not quite sure how that works but I've already got some zipties in my stuff to pack.

I finished my countdown calendar (I had to do a quick version because today is our 30 day mark) and took a picture of it with my new camera to upload and show everyone and now we are trying to figure out how to get the pictures off the darn thing. Why in the world would it store all the pictures to the internal storage if there is a memory card installed???

I'm watching the performance show of AI and I got cut off before Adam even started. Guess I'll have to see if I can get it online.

In Coz we are booked for Nachi Cocum but seriously condsidering the dolphin encounter w/Kym & Dempsey.

In CC -- we are doing NOTHING but laying on the beach, playing with the kids, chilling out!!!!

I thought you guys were going to do the stingray thing on CC! I know the kids have to be 5 because I looked into that. I wonder how that excursion compares to going on Grand Cayman at Stingray City.

where are you guys planning on using the water shoes?

I've cruised 3 times and have to say that I never wore water shoes. We only went to serenity bay once but maybe we went on a good day because we didn't need water shoes. Grand Cayman has nice soft sand but Cozumel seemed to be a bit rockier and have bigger dropoffs.

2. Grand Cayman: Wearing the water shoes for sure. We will be taking a taxi to Cemetary Beach. We will snorkel there and the meander our way down 7 mile beach snorkelling at several spots (Cali Shipwreck, Cheeseburger Reef, etc.)

We love 7 mile beach! Gorgeous!! We went to 7 mile beach 3 years ago but can't remember the name where we went on 7 mile beach. It is gorgeous because you can see the boat in the background! Where is Cemetary beach? And how will you get to your different spots to snorkel?
Last year, we went to stingray city and didn't get to 7 mile beach....I was so sad to leave the island and not go to the beach! Where is everyone going to the beach on GC? I have to figure out a good spot to go to!

Welcome! We love eating dinner in Palo. It's the only upscale meal we eat like that on a yearly basis! Service is great and it's just a great getaway from everything else on the boat. You can get ressies on board if you didn't get them online.

You can ziptie one strap onto the fish outside your room and then let the other strap just hang. It should work out just fine (and you are finished...voila!)
