Packing: We have a spare bedroom that I've designated the "packing room!" LOL! I've been throwing things in there all month. My DH thinks I've lost my mind, but he'll thank me later I am wayyyyy too excited about the cruise!

I turn my guest bedroom into the packing room when we have a vacation coming up. My DH is used to it by now.

I'm waiting two. I wait with you!!

Add me to the list of waiting for their guarantee cabin. This is the first time that I've done a guarantee. I'm hoping for the best but will just be happy to be on the cruise.

Mine is Tinkerbell, DH (Chris) is Donald and DD4 (Chelsea) is any princess. She likes them all. We're not picky though.

I just picked up the supplies for my FE's today. I still have to get a few more things but then it'll be time to get to work on them.

My DH's favorite is Simba and my favorite character is Tinkerbell...actually, don't tell anyone but I got a Tinkerbell tattoo this weekend. It is my very first tattoo ever (and my last because it hurt like heck).....but remember it's our little secret!!!!! Shhhhhhhhhh

How is everyone? Who do I need to send money to for the braelets?

I'm in awe of anyone RUNNING any distance but a 5K? Maybe someday I'll work up to running, but I have a hard time not tripping on my own feet (hence I usually do the eliptical).

There was some back and forth on the price but I think the last calcuation was:

I should now say $1.15 x number of bands + $0.03 per dollar + $0.30 = TOTAL

Im excited for baseball to start! Toronto Blue Jays home opener starts MONDAY! YAY!!!

We like the SF Giants and the Oakland A's but since Hockey is on its last 5 games (and the Sharks are leading NHL in points) we are focused on that. Jim is hoping that they will play the playoffs on the ship.

We are so excited, just booked free dining - have never been on the dining plan and we are going for a long weekend Fri-Tues in late September so we can catch the Halloween party. Woohoo!

Bought DD some clothes for the cruise, nice to see all the spring clothes out now. Very cold today though. I still need to lose at least 5 lbs so I don't want to buy anything for myself until I reduce a little....<sigh> it's just not that easy.

Congratulations on the free dining! We can only afford get back east every other year so our next trip won't be till 2011. That plus we always use our DVC points so I don't think we can get the deal. DANG! They just released a buy 3 get 5 package for DL, but I think it ends in the summer so we can't do that one either.

I went to the gym this morning as well. Did my eliptical and machines then went over to my moms and did 2 hours of yard work. Hopefully all that activity will show up on the scale this week.

I think someone asked this a long time ago, but there are a lot of new cruisers. I love Mickey (I'm partial to Jane from Tarzan but she's doesn't appear very often). Jim is a Tigger fan.

I was cruising the boards last night found a thread that asked for everyone's best tip that they learned from the DIS. Some were pretty obvious some I'd heard of, but a couple of gems. One poster compiled most of them onto one post (copied it to a word doc). Then I added some more, I need to re-read them and make sure there aren't a lot of duplicates then I'll post them here for everyone.

Hi Nick - I like the Donald as well and my DD (6 on the cruise) likes Daisy and Minnie. My DH likes Goofy. I had to really think about this one because I like them all!! I really wanted to get my photo taken with Scrooge McDuck at the MVMCP but I kept missing him.

Sonya - Yeah! You did it! I thought about mixing up the numbers so the girls could do a search for the numbers but it wouldn't make any sense to them if they weren't in order. Heck, it wouldn't make sense to me! Having the numbers in backwards order makes it so there's less confusion and it's plain as day for everyone to see (and noone can ask how many more days there are)!

Val- You only grabbed 20? I grabbed over 60 which was 5 of each color! We started our countdown at 50. Thank goodness for a big purse!

Sara - We've been on 3 Disney cruises and have never needed Bonine (Thank goodness)! I can't handle smaller ships but all 4 of us have had no problems at all. Can't help with the meds but do know they are in the health center.

Jane - I would love to see the tips! After 3 Disney cruises, I wonder if I missing anything! I will tell you that I printed out this long list of tips before our first cruise and boy, did I overpack! If anyone has any questions about taking any items that are suggested, don't hesitate to ask! After overpacking the first time, I think I've got it down to a tee on the 4th time!

Cinda - I forgot what I was going to say! I didn't write it down...see what happens when I am behind a few days! I can't keep it straight!

JorDan - the same thing! I wrote your name down on a piece of paper and didn't write what I wanted to tell you! Did you get the part in the next Harry Potter (forgive me if that's not the right movie...it was a while back!)?

I can't remember who asked (maybe JorDan). My husband works in the film industry but not in front of the camera (definitely not an actor). He is behind the camera and is a video assist. To make a long story short, he plays back everything that is shot through the camera so that they know if they need to do it again or if they can move on. He also edits on set. He is used to working on big movies (all Spidermans, Die Hard, Fast & Furious, etc.) but Hollywood is in the slumps right now because the actors contract ended last JUNE! Hoping something happens soon because a lot of people are losing their homes because of no work. We still have our house but if this continues, don't know what we'll do! When it picks up, he'll work for probably 2 years straight without a break. So, movie watchers, you can spark a conversation with my husband! I can't answer anything except for the fact that my husband makes movies but I don't know anything about them!! And was hardly ever go to the movies! Maybe 2 times a year!

Alright, I am off to bed! It's 12:30 and I'm rambling!

Along the same lines, although I know I have to wait now till I get onboard, I also am regularly checking Palo for an opening at Brunch. Obsessiveness is not pretty.

I check every day for a brunch as well. I wasn't that bothered about going to one, until I realised I couldn't!!!

We are planning on working out on board as well! Has anyone done any of the classes before, or do you all stick to the gym? I really want to try some classes as I love aerobics and step!

The hair accessories are for my 3 year old.... She has to have the matching bows with her little outfits. I put all of her complete outfits in ziploc bags, now I am adding her bows for her outfits... I just want to make this trip as relaxing as possible... Last time I felt like I was always searching for something
I planned on bringing some hair pins for myself for formal night..I don't think the hair stylist will have cute clips but I don't know for sure. I would suggest bringing them with you.

Blimey! Well done! I am trying to build up my running at the minute so I can go round the deck in the morning. Haven't ran for months. Managed a mile yesterday (after my weights workout) and it very nearly killed me!!! Had to eat an easter egg to recover!!

I hope so too!! I know I am from Canada, and being from Canada I should want a Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup, But I am a HUGE Anaheim Ducks fan!! Since day one! There going to take it this year!!! (Maybe, LOL) Plus most teams in the NHL are full of Canadian players... So thats my excuse! lol

Are you from Toronto? Ashley and I live close to Barrie, Right next to Base Borden! When The Jays won the World Series I was 3 and 4, so I don't remember it at all!! I need them to go all the way soon!!! My Grandfather and I go at least once a year, We LOVE the game!!!

Hi Everyone,
I have been off of the boards for awhile, we were wavering whether we would have to cancel our cruise! I have started a new job and my husband has been working and living 6 hours away from us for over a year-- our lives have been drama drama drama!!
But I am happy to say that we are back on board!! We are booked on the 10am Radisson shuttle and will be boarding on May the 16th.

I was feeling really sad and not wanting to get my hopes up so I had kept the Disboards at an arms length so to speak.

But now I want to get in on the action!!!! How is our FE going to work?? Do we have an idea about how many gifts etc?? Could I also order bracelets??

I feel now that I can actually talk about this cruise and feel excitement!!!!

John (DH): Princess Jasmine~it's a family joke. When our DS's were little we were just getting ready to leave what was then MGM and she walked by. Her beauty must have caught him totally off guard becuse he starting shouting to our DS's "There's Princess Jasmine! There's Pricesss Jasmine! Go get her autograph!", which is TOTALLY out of character for him! He's the most laidback, quiet guy you will ever meet! We do refer to him as Grumpy as a joke only because he is probably the easiest going, nicest, most patient man on earth!

Sean (DS): Goofy

Andrew (DS): Pluto

Our FE will have Mickey & Minnie (Kathy & John) and the top pocket with Sean's pocket Goofy and Andrew's Pluto. SIL is making it for me. Can't wait to see what she comes up with! I'll post pix when I get it!

Shasess: Let's see a preview! FYI about tattoos...if its in an area that gets sun, put Sunblock on it!!!! I ruined my tattoo colors when I got it cause I kept forgetting to put sunblock on it. I was going to get it touched up before the cruise, but haven't had enough time. This fall I will, once I'm out of the sun.

Faith&Hope/Kym: I wish it was Harry Potter, but it's High School Musical 4. Disney films almost all their movies in Utah. It doesn't go into production until June once the school is free. So I won't hear until then, hope they don't call while we are on the cruise! Yikes!
Very awesome about your hubbys job. Nice that he works on big films, I only do tiny, little ones in Utah. Hopefully things will pick up for him. I'm still new to the jobs in the film industry, but I am aware of his. hehe I'm sure we'll have some stuff to talk about--- unless he doesn't like Wardrobe people.

Sonya & Lynsey: I would REALLY like to walk the ship in the mornings, It would help me get up earlier (I'll be hours behind on the time zone). So maybe we can arrange a few walks?? I don't think my hubby will want to.

Krishouse- Welcome back to the boards. Sorry to hear you've had troubles, but glad you are still cruising! As for the wristbands & FE, we had a cutoff date of April 1st. I didn't see your name on the Wristband order list. PM Tink113 for info though, I think she MAY have some extra's.
As for the FE list, I see you are on it and Jane (2 Eagle Scout) should have emailed you the final copy of all who is participating. We have 36 cabins, 38 Men, 40 women, 13 Girls, 16 boys! PHEW big group!
