Oh my goodness! I am SO behind! I am going to do my best to try to catch up (at least on the last 10 pages)!
Yesterday I went to Costco at lunch and got some goodies for the cruise -- got me a swimsuit (dang those speedos, had to go up a size *sigh*), got Yoni a swimsuit, got Sabrina a swimsuit (did you know that it costs $35 for a "girl's" swimsuit? Yeesh -- she is only 7) and got the infamous water shoes. They had some for guys too so Yoni got a pair in black. BTW, my swimsuit, $20, Yoni's $14, Sabrina's $11.
Costco is a scary place! Can't ever get out of there under $200 (and this week was $400)!

They have cute swimsuits/coverups for girls, swimsuits and rashguards (is that what they are called?) for boys, dresses for the girls (both sundresses and a formal dress). Whew....
The other bit of big news that some of you that are on FB might have seen is that Yoni went for his INS interview yesterday in San Antonio and they turned around and invited him to the swearing in ceremony TOMORROW!
Yeah!!

Congrats to both of you!!
Hmmmm......what else, ah, bought some sunscreen for the cruise. SPF70

Apparently the DR said some of the meds I am on make my face very sensitive to the sun. So, if I use SPF30 everywhere else, am I going to look bizarre with a WHITE face and tan body?
Be careful...my Doctor told me that SPF past 40 (I think it was 40) actually isn't any more effective than SPF 40. Has anyone ever heard of this? I was burned several years ago when we first moved to CA and I had to be in the hospital for a few days. I actually turned black and blue (LONG story....let's just say that I used to tan in a tanning bed way back and I thought I put sunblock on....oops. I accidentally grabbed the tanning bed lotion). Add that to floating in the pool on a raft and you can't even imagine what this white, white girl looked like!
Amanda is a crack up! She was the one that said we would be going to our house in Florida... She is so engrossed getting her website up for her new business she doesn't even know what she is saying... Anyway, we do have a a few houses on Lake Killarney in Winter Park however, because none of us claim Florida as our home state we cannot claim residency. Real bummer

She is also trying to be a real grown up and stay at home this week while Jason is in LA. She has always been a bit of a chicken about staying at home alone, especially at night. I am sure her puppy Abby is keeping her company. She seems to be doing fine.
I wish I had a relationship with my mom like this! She lives in TN and we live in CA.
Lynsey & Mati - I feel ya! My hubby is not
as big a Disney fan as the rest of us but it seems like slowly I've been able to bring him over to our side! After taking him on the
Disney cruise for our wedding, he's hooked on the "Disney Difference"!

In fact, he even lets me display all my Disney collection pieces in display cases right next to HIS tv.
This is funny because my husband is a big black man and he argued with me this year about the fact that we were not going to cancel our DISNEY cruise. With him not working since last June, I thought about canceling it. He did not want to hear anything about canceling...he has to have his DISNEY cruise!!

You can put my down for just 1. My husband won't wear one. Also, I can't imagine too many kids who will want to wear a bracelet. For those of you new to the ship, the kids have to wear a plastic wristband all week long for the clubs. They are the plastic ones that lock and they keep it on all week long. Mine won't wear 2 things!![/QUOTE]

Belinda -- ok, will buy a dress I guess -- but no, no clue on what I am going to wear.... it is too stressful to think about!

.
Don't stress out too much about the dress. You will see a wide range on formal night. Most people wear a party like dress rather than the full prom dress type. I have always worn a black dress with some type of sheer ruffle or cute design. I don't think any of us will outdress Belinda (BellaMickey) since she'll be fancied up!!

Looks great Mati!!

It seems that there are a few more people wanting to link for early dining so it might rearrange a few people! Since we can't all sit together, I'm sure they could probably sit us all in the same area of the dining rooms. Can you imagine the poor waiters who have to put up with all of us in one spot?
JorDan... Thanks so much for the scoop on sales, cruise items, etc. Your current information is saving all of us time as well as money!
JorDan....you are dangerous girl!!
I didn't realize the men could wear jeans (well anyone can wear jeans). Hmmm....that helps. I just bought a pair of jean capris at my favorite place -- Costco!
I guess I didn't realize that men wore jeans. After 3 cruises, you'd think I'd figure that out! I just asked my husband but he doesn't remember wearing jeans. He said mainly khakis (a few pair will last the whole week because you only wear them for a few hours). Plus, you have one night Palo, one night suit for formal night. Then wear the suit pants only for semi-formal night (of course, they have to wear a shirt!!)
For dinner, I took a black skirt and matched it with different shirts and some khaki capris (I think). I wore a sundress one night. Nothing overboard.
I'll post later about overpacking! After 3 cruises, we have packing down to 2 suitcases for 4 of us and our carseat bag. THe first cruise, we had 4 suitcases and only used about 1 suitcase full!
Hi Sara! I don't mind linking with you guys too -- the more the merrier! I have no idea how they manage large groups. My thought was I would ask for these # ressies to be seated together and possibly near these # ressies? Something like that. I think we call it in directly even if we booked through a TA. I'll find out. Oh, and one thing -- I warned Kym and hopefully she is ok with it, we do enjoy our wine with dinner so if that is not cool with you, let me know. I won't be offended but no reason to be uncomfortable at dinner!
Sorry Mati-I haven't had the time to email back! Drinks are totally fine with us!

We usually splurge and get our drinks by the pool but sometimes get some at dinner also!
My "like a virgin" story isn't all that awesome -- just imagine, me, young (or somewhat young) american on a ship full of Finns (I married in Finland) having to belt out a song for $ -- it was not fun. Needless to say I am not a good singer AND Finns are really cruel to their bachelorettes (and bachelors -- Yoni's stories are way worse!).!
We won't be cruel to you!!

You might just become a STAR!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! I was just about to order a FE on Ebay when I came across this organizer. I love, love, love Tinkerbell and I was thinking about ordering this and using it as my FE. Do you think that it will work? I think that I am going to hop over to the main board and check out the demensions of the typical fish extenders.
Very cute!

My concern is that 11" is too wide. I think there is only around 8" of wall. It seems small but the pockets seem to be tiny! I haven't pulled mine out from last year. I'll try to do that tomorrow and measure.. I know there's several sets of directions on the boards for the measurements. Can anyone comment who has made theres?
Here's my question... Our port time in Cozumel says 9:30 until 6:30. I know Cozumel's time is 2 hours behind EST, which will be the
DCL time on leaving. I also know that Cozumel does not do daylight savings time. So...will the ship set the clocks back 2 hours on Wednesday morning? Or, does 9:30 until 6:30 really mean 7:30-4:30 Cozumel time? Just trying to plan our snorkel trip while at Nachi...
It is confusing because it's like you move forward one day and then go back the next.
Loucinda -- I am with you, ordered it on Feb 20th and haven't heard a word. I emailed her tonight. I am getting nervous.....
If you ordered from that one lady online, I know it takes a little while to get them. They are embroidered so they take longer but they sure look like they are worth the wait!!
Kym -- Sabrina wrote Faith back.
She will be excited to read it tomorrow after school and email back!!
