JorDan ~ Wanted to let you know I got me FEs today. They are adorable!!!! I'm going to "spring" them on Brian and Jake tonight and explain the whole FE thing to them :). Thanks again~ Kathy

It's speedfigure or you can email me directly speed_figure@hotmail.com
Just so you know, I had a disgruntled mix-up sale. So my feedback is only 50% right now! I need more feedback from the other positive people who bought from me.
I make a Chip & Dale and Mickey & Minnie one too. (Not posted on eBay right now)
Check back a few pages for the pictures.

Glad they made it there safe Kathy! Hope they like the surprise!

It has been quiet, I have been avoiding DIS boards today because I received 2 PM's with people telling me they are going to copy my FE ideas.

Ok, first off love the hats you made for everyone based on what dream job they had! So adorable. I don't blame you at all for not wanting to share all your secrets on making your FE. At least you know people are loving them! I would just continue to very kindly let them know that making custom pieces is what you do and that while you appreciate their interest in learning to do the same you would rather not share. You know just like those secret family recipes!

Hey Everyone,

This will be out second Disney Cruise. We want in Nov 08 and had a blast. We will be with our son (12), duaghter (10), my parents, and friends who have a daughter (10) and son (7). I know counting days and making a countdown calendar is part it. We booked this back in December and since it was such a long time, we count Fridays. After today, there are only 8 more Fridays until the big cruise.:woohoo:

Glad to have you on board with us!!!

Remind me on the cruise to tell you about my bachelorette party and a bad version of "Like a Virgin" :rotfl:

I think I would like to hear this story too! :lmao:

While I wait, I figured to post the pics from the ceremony today.....

The pictures are wonderful! Yoni reminds me of the guy on Men In Black!

Finally found a photo of all three of us together - I'm usually behind the camera hanging on my arm here, so family photos are rare. LOL! They took this one of us last summer at the State Aquarium.

What a wonderful picture.

Don't worry Sonya, We just got our first cheesecake factory in Utah a year ago. We would go to Vegas just to eat there and at In-N-Out. BUT they are building In-N-Outs all over Utah now. HOORAY!!!! I'm in food heaven.

I must admit I've never ate at the cheesecake factory or in-n-out. I must totally be missing out!

ok, I finally found a pic of us to share..its from our last Magic Cruise Oct 08.

I'm loving all the new pictures! :cutie:

So I checked out Lands End today with all this talk of water shoes and I have fallen in love with the mary jane water shoes. I'm so tempted to order and try them. We go to the lake alot in the summer so I'm pretty sure I would get good use out of them I would just like to be able to try them on first. We're going out of town for the night tomorrow so I hope to get some shopping done. My DH and his best friend have been planning this little mini weekend trip so that they can go to Cabelas (the closest one is 5 hours away from where we live) so hopefully us girls can get some serious shopping done while the boys are in outdoor heaven.

It is hard to believe that there are over 100,000 people camped outside of my house but they are. I live within site of the Bristol Motor Speedway and the race is this weekend. Most of the time our neighborhood is quiet with a cow pasture in the back with rolling hills, but two weeks a year there are thousands of people that come here. My wife does not like it but I think it is exciting. There are even F-15 fighters that fly over and lots of fireworks every night. There are even more people here in the Fall, over 160,000 I think. Bristol TN has a normal population of about 45,000. Lots of "people watching" to do.

Looking for a swimsuit?
Disneyshopping.com has some CUTE ones!! Just wish they have bikinis!

JorDan -- what have you done....I am sitting here, staring the screen with TWO Disney swimsuits in my "shopping cart"! (I am ok without a bikini ;) ) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the three piece with the pants and love the red one piece......oh no, what to do what to do......

JorDan ~ Wanted to let you know I got me FEs today. They are adorable!!!! I'm going to "spring" them on Brian and Jake tonight and explain the whole FE thing to them :). Thanks again~ Kathy

Congrats Kathy! I still haven't gotten mine. :sad2:

Lynsey, have fun this weekend! I hope you get some good shopping done. I am still thinking of the Land's End shoes. The ones from Costco are oh so cute but worried the tag in the back will rub against my heel. If I get that free shipping offer, may just have to try the Land's End ones.

Wow Tim! I am sure your wife would be freaked (I would) but it is kind of exciting (and cool!) I hope you still have a good weekend! Are you guys going to the race?

Ok, have to go back to staring at my Disney shopping cart and decide whether to buy or not to buy :confused3

ok, I finally found a pic of us to share..its from our last Magic Cruise Oct 08.

Great family pics! Thanks for sharing!!! :goodvibes

Wow -- you guys are fabulous -- did you know that?

So, just from a quick search at Allears.net, here is what I am thinking.....

Epcot -- snack snack snack or counter service at the Land like Jane suggested. Love the B&C idea but we are leaving early in the evening to freshen up and go out for dinner before coming back to enjoy the EMH. I am worried that will take too much time. I may take the kiddos there for ice cream though!

MK -- Dinner at Ohana -- that looks great! How hard is it to get reservations? I better get on it. Will probably do counter service for lunch and Harbor House looks good! Is it tuna like a filet or tuna like tuna salad? I am not a big fish eater but am known to enjoy my tuna salad sandwiches!

Sounds like a great plan! :thumbsup2 I love Epcot!!!!

Jordan, thanks for the shopping tips!!!! John and I just got back from doing some cruise shopping and I picked up the pink Speedo water shoes from Costco :cool1:. I also went to Old Navy and picked up one of their cute summer dresses. Thanks for the heads up!!!!! :cheer2:

That's cool! I saw a segment on our news tonight (Knoxville station) about it and it looks like it's a fun weekend!

ok, I finally found a pic of us to share..its from our last Magic Cruise Oct 08. But we still pretty much look the same...only chris likes to grow taller on us for some reason :goodvibes

But here we are, and sign me up for 2 bracelets (cause I dont think I need one for Chris)

Nice photo!:)

I think I'm about done with my shopping as of this evening! From Lands End, I bought a swimsuit for me, rashguard for me, board shorts for me, Adam's swim trunks, a rash guard for him, cover-up "dress," and matching flip-flops! Now, I'm hoping everything fits! I then went to Dillards and Belks and managed to get some Jones of New York jeans (a little dressier than normal jeans), 2 Jones dress shirts, Rafaello dress pants, and 2 brand name dress shirts to match them for $127!!! (That's a steal considering that the Jones shirts were $69 each about a month ago!)

Now all I have left is a formal dress and maybe one other dress. It's close to prom season now, so nothing here is on sale. I figure I'll have to wait until early May for those deals...

FYI: I learned today that if you walk into Sears and use their computer to order from Landsend.com, you don't have to pay shipping! I don't know how long it lasts, but it's a pretty good deal! (I saved $20 on my stuff, but just ate the $12 on Adam's because I didn't feel like going back to the mall!) Thankfully, we both have the water shoes from there from 2 years ago, so we saved that $70!

Ok, instead of crawling into bed at 10 like normal, I had the "smart" idea of waiting up for Yoni (he is out playing poker). Ok, that's all I have -- I give up....need to go to sleep. Have to swim at 7:30 :scared:

Good Night....

Hi Mati ~ I know that Brian and I want to do the Tequila/Margarita tasting and the Martini tasting. I can't remember if they are only offered once. I'm all for a DIS group tasting :)! ~ Kathy

JorDan... Thanks so much for the scoop on sales, cruise items, etc. Your current information is saving all of us time as well as money! :thanks:

Cinda... Congratulations on getting your shopping done. Wish I could say the same! :woohoo: Hope your toe is well on it's way to healing by now. :thumbsup2

Val... Where are you? Haven't heard from you in a long time.

Tim... I can imagine what it is like for you during the big races! When at our farm in SW VA we are near Galax where half the world comes for several annual Fiddlers Conventions. We are only 2 hours apart on I-81!

Mati... Thank you for sharing pictures of Yani's big event. What a neat thing for us to be able to see! :yay:
Also, I am pretty sure Amanda has changed us to main dining because of the boys, little and big! Bob hates to eat late so maybe this will help keep him happy. :rolleyes1

Welcome to all who have joined lately! The pictures are great!

Carole

Mati, So awesome of you to make out this list. And with everyones "real" name. YOU GO GIRL!!!:thumbsup2

Unfortunatly, we DID NOT get switched to main dining. We are late dinner seating.

Val, Where are you? I hope your doing ok. Miss you girl!!!

Carole

The "dress" issue still exists, but I'm holding out for post-prom deals! Even formal dresses that were on sale 2 weeks ago were marked at their original prices. I could probably pay full price, but I'm going to attempt to save a few bucks!

The toe is beginning to heal, but my 6 hour shopping excursion didn't do it any favors. I probably should have waited, but I just HAD to get to the mall!:rolleyes1

Perhaps Val had her procedure yesterday or sometime this week? It was smart of her to do it early, because we don't always heal and recover as fast as we would like...

Mati: Thanks for the tasting list. It looks good to me!

I'm off to round on 1 person in the hospital and figured I'd go our our little local mall just to see if there were any deals...

BTW Jordan and Lyndsay, will you be offended if I wear dress jeans to dinner on casual nights? They are allowed in the dining room, but I don't want to offend you! This will be the first cruise I've ever been on that allows jeans! (But, because I feel a little guilty, I bought some "dressy" jeans from Jone New York and the tops to go with them.)

Good Morning everyone. I made it to swim class -- learned how to do the breast stroke. The instructor is ready to move me to Master's but that class is at 5:30 am! :scared1: Thinking this may be my last class....:rotfl:

Kathy, Brian -- added you both to the two tastings list.

Carol -- I moved you on my spreadsheet to early dining. Jane still has you listed as late dining on her master list....

Belinda -- moved you back to late. I found a post where you said you waitlisted for main. If you did, I'll bet you got it already. I requested it a few weeks ago and already got moved. Not sure if that was the right decision -- we shall see!!!

One thing I also tracked but now unsure what is happening is the Palo Tea. There were a group of us (8 maybe more) who wanted to try to go to Tea (without the men) on Monday at 3. I think only a couple of us actually have reservations BUT I am guessing we can get them once we are on board. The problem is.....two of the tastings are Monday at 2 and then 3. So, question is, do we try for tea on Thursday instead, try for tasting on Thursday, skip the tea altogether? Any ideas? I also didn't have a schedule on the wine tasting. I'll try to find a more recent Navigator and see what it says. I am open for about anything. :)

Ok, now need to get the kids ready for swim lessons...

I tried to see what was going on with Val on FB but that is all quiet too....

Val -- you out there? Everything ok? Your DIS friends Miss you!

Myself and some of my family will be going to the tequila and wine tastings. Do we can sign up as soon as we board or have to wait and sign up when you see it in the Navigator? This is our first Disney and not sure how they want it done. Sue, Sarah, and Alicia (DDs) will be going to the tequila and wine tastings. Might have two more, the hubby's. They haven't commited yet.
Anybody ever do the Friday evening chat?
I have been wondering abou Val too. Hope she is ok.
Has anyone did the online checkin at? I haven't. I just read on another thread that someone had missed the deadline. I need to see when that is.

Okay, okay...I'm here now. :goodvibes It's nice to be missed! :grouphug: But I hated being away!!!! I can feel a 2 or 3 section post coming up just to get caught up! Last week was spring break for our schools, so I had 2 of my 5 docs out of town, which means when they returned on Monday, they were swamped, which means I'm swamped with work the next day...and the day after...and the day after..and the day after. It usually takes a week to get back to their "normal" schedule again (I'm sure Cinda knows all about that). Then we had a celebration party last night for one of Justin's business partners who has been with the company for 20 years. The 5 current owners bought the company from the original owners a few years ago, so even though the company celebrated 30 years last year, most of the current owners were just kids when it started! Justin will celebrate his 20 years next year!!!!! (Actually, now that I think about it, his 19 years is on Monday.)

I'll be gone the rest of the day today, too. I'm hosting a "Girls' Day at the Races" with some friends. (Any horse racing fans in the house?!?!) If anyone is into simulcast betting, Fonner Park is in my town. My MIL works there, too, as the groups coordinator. Justin's company has a table in the best section, so whomever wants the table for the day can just take the tix. Justin will be our chauffeur to take us there at 1:00 and then pick us up (after many pitchers of Amaretto Sour!!) and take us to the quaint little martini bar that we have downtown. There's a cool pub right next door that we'll eat supper at, and then go back for more martinis--ladies' night until 11:00, aka $3 martinis! (Slurp!) Then when we're good & drunk (and giggly and silly and all wound up), Justin will come back to pick us up and drive us home. We did it last year and had a BLAST!!! I'll have to take my camera and share pics!

Anyway, I got side tracked rambling...I just wanted to apologize for all these "old" quotes from the last few days.

I've been reading about all the talk on the new menus on the main forum. I hope someone posts there really soon. I'm very curious on what the changes are!
I haven't even been there yet to see what has been said. I'm anxious to see them, too, since we scheduled Palo around the current menus! Does anyone know if it's new menus for all 7 nights or just rotational menus or what? I'll have to go check it out tomorrow.

We plan on heading to the Mickey pool almost immediately, maybe they can meet then?
WE'LL BE THERE!!!

I bought transfers today. They are cotton iron ons? I got them w/my 40% off coupon from Michael's so only cost @$3 for the 5. I will try them on the kids shirts first (they are cheaper). Thinking I will go with white too..
After you do it, please let us know how it turned out and what brand you used. I think I have HP from ~7 years ago, so hopefully they're more "washer friendly" now.

Jeeeeeeez Louise! You are tall Val!!! What a combo, tall, thin and beautiful. Hmmm...maybe I won't stand next to you in any pictures!!!
Yeah, right! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Just don't get some high expectation in your head that I'm unable to fulfill!! :lmao:

In fact, if I WFH, I am finding it impossible to get much done which is why I have been in the office the past 2 days!
I know...I had to shut off my MSN instant email alert thingy just so I wasn't tempted to come here every time someone posted. Then I never knew what I was missing out on...until this morning. Now I'm jealous that I haven't been here! :rotfl:

I figure I can cut 2 of the adults and restring or something for the kids????
Oooooh! Great idea! I wonder if cutting and sticking velcro on would work. If we do only adult sizes, I'll probably have to add back 2 more for the boys. Hmmmmmm....

hmmmm...Loucinda, may need to visit you before the cruise!!!! :rotfl2:
I've thought the same thing!! I haven't been able to exercise all week either (until right now), so I hope I'm not putting back on the few pounds I have lost. If so, I may be making a quick trip to Tennessee for some "sculpting!"

I found a dress that I teasingly said I could use to renew our vows... This year is 40 years! We got married when we were 8... I can't be old enough to have been married 40 years. My father would agree... he tries to claim he is only 39 himself!
:lmao: Too funny! I know what you mean, though. It doesn't seem possible that Justin & I had our first date almost 19 years ago.

Some excellent news from us... DIL Alison has a new job!
:thumbsup2 WTG Alison! I hope it does turn permanent!

Hey Everyone,

I know counting days and making a countdown calendar is part it. We booked this back in December and since it was such a long time, we count Fridays. After today, there are only 8 more Fridays until the big cruise.:woohoo:
Welcome to our cruise!!! I'll update you (and all the GREAT family pics of everyone else!) probably tomorrow--after sleeping in from my night of excessive alcohol intake! :rotfl:

Whats the name of the sea-sick stuff that I need to buy once I get to the US - I have seen it mentioned on the main boards a few times - Bonine? Something like that . . . ! Can I get that frow Walgreenes or Walmart, or do I need to go somewhere else? :confused3
I'm going to try something new this time. My mom got it at Cabela's (more on Cabela's in a sec...) and it's a topical liquid that you put behind your ears. I think it's called MotionEze or something like that. She said it worked great for her when she was on the motorcycle in the mountains. I know it's probably not the same as being motion sick from a cruise, but I'm hoping it works...for Lennon's sake.

Evening all! Yoni is now an official American Citizen! He is quite excited and the party the neighbors had for him was really nice.
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
BIG CONGRATS TO YONI!!! Great pics, too! Thanks for sharing. It makes us feel like we were there celebrating, too!

Remind me on the cruise to tell you about my bachelorette party and a bad version of "Like a Virgin" :rotfl:
I want to hear, too!!

I bought a sleek black dress, a little low cut for formal night. Now, I just need to find some sexy shoesprincess:
Can't wait to see everyone all spiffied up!

Finally found a photo of all three of us together - I'm usually behind the camera hanging on my arm here, so family photos are rare. LOL!
Great pic, Sara! I'll post it to #1 tomorrow. I'm the same way...very few pics of me because I'm usually taking them!

Don't worry Sonya, We just got our first cheesecake factory in Utah a year ago.
We would go to Vegas just to eat there and at In-N-Out. BUT they are building In-N-Outs all over Utah now. HOORAY!!!! I'm in food heaven.
I think there's only one CCF in Nebraska--2 hrs away. I've never been. In-N-Out, on the other hand, I have been to...in Cali, of course, back when they were ONLY in Cali. We went to our friends' wedding in San Clemente in 1996.

ok, I finally found a pic of us to share..its from our last Magic Cruise Oct 08. But we still pretty much look the same...only chris likes to grow taller on us for some reason :goodvibes
LOVING all the family pics! Again, I'll update #1 tomorrow.

I did get a picture from y'day of me and Yoni but not sure if I will post it.....I look so worn out! :scared1:
C'mon, if I can post a drunk picture of me, you can post a worn out picture of you!! (I have a feeling I'll have more drunk pics after tonight, too!) :lmao:

We're going out of town for the night tomorrow so I hope to get some shopping done. My DH and his best friend have been planning this little mini weekend trip so that they can go to Cabelas (the closest one is 5 hours away from where we live) so hopefully us girls can get some serious shopping done while the boys are in outdoor heaven.
So to all the Cabela's fans, did you know that it was started in Nebraska?!?! The original one is WAAAAAY on the western Nebraska border in Sidney (probaby 4+ hrs away from me), but the second one is only 45 min away in Kearney--that other town with all the best stores that I went to last weekend. Justin isn't a hunter or outdoorsy at all (other than riding his motorcycle), so we're not that "into" the store as much as EVERYONE else in Nebraska is (being a non-hunter in Nebraska is definitely a minority!).

It is hard to believe that there are over 100,000 people camped outside of my house but they are.
Sounds like the pre-cruise party is at Tim's! Too bad I didn't get the invitation soon enough to make plans to be there! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: JK, Tim!

I think I'm about done with my shopping as of this evening!
WTG on the great deals!! :thumbsup2 That's how I like to do my shopping, too! Very rarely do I buy something that's not on sale. I'm a coupon queen!!

I decided to make the most of my time and have been trying to figure out everyone who is up for the tastings & may want to link dinner reservations. If I missed you or you want to join in, let me know.
Thanks, Mati, for doing this! After we get it all finalized, I'll copy & paste to #1 for easy reference!

Tequila&Margarita Tasting:
Val (were you in?)
Not positive yet. Maybe...you can keep me (and Justin) on for now, but if we change our mind, I'll let you know.

Martini Tasting:
Val (?)
Yes! Justin, too!

Beer Tasting:
Justin & Val(?)
Definitely no for me...probably not for Justin, unless he "bonds" enough with some of the other guys that he would want to once we get onboard.

Dinner Reservations:

Early Dining (each group is separated by a space):
Mati, Yoni, Sabrina & Kai
Kym, Dempsey, Faith & Hope

Val & Justin w/their family
Belinda & Shawn (did you get switched to early dining?)

Jamie, Jalen & Family
Since Belinda couldn't switch and it looks like Jamie doesn't have anyone to link with yet, maybe Mati, Kym, Jamie, and I could all be together. Are there any rotations that are being requested? I would prefer the 6:00 seating, if that matters.

I guess the good thing about being away from the boards is that I'm working on a 2 hr workout just to get my posts in! (Yes, I'm that slow typing while exercising! Right now, you'd never know that I type for a living! :rotfl: But, hey, I had to read and get caught up, too!)

Now I wonder who all is up and posting this morning so far, besides Belinda at 4:45 AM!!!! WUWT?!?! ;)

GRRRRRRR!!! I just lost my post into never never land!! I guess I'll have to redo it.

I figured I should probably stay caught up this morning since I won't be back until at least tomorrow.

Perhaps Val had her procedure yesterday or sometime this week? It was smart of her to do it early, because we don't always heal and recover as fast as we would like...
Oh, I only wish. It's on Friday. I really should've done it a LOOOOONNNNG time ago but just haven't yet. I actually had it scheduled in Jan, but when I got a price on doing it at the surgery center, I about fell off my chair. That's when I asked her about doing it in the office instead to save me some money. We switched at the beginning of the year to a high deductible ins plan ($6000!!) with a health savings acct, but since our HSA didn't have any payroll decuctions deposited into it yet, I had no way to pay for it--tax free anyway (especially that much!!). I feel better about doing it in the office after watching an online animation showing the process. I just wish I had allowed myself enough time to see the final result before the cruise.

Belinda -- moved you back to late. I found a post where you said you waitlisted for main. If you did, I'll bet you got it already. I requested it a few weeks ago and already got moved. Not sure if that was the right decision -- we shall see!!!
I think she decided to keep late dining because main would've interfered with their VR on Thurs.

I tried to see what was going on with Val on FB but that is all quiet too....
Yeah, FB has been getting ignored lately, too. I'd much rather spend my computer time here with you guys and on the main board to remind myself of all the tips/info that I've forgotten since last cruise.

Val -- you out there? Everything ok? Your DIS friends Miss you!
I MISSED YOU, TOO!!!

Myself and some of my family will be going to the tequila and wine tastings. Do we can sign up as soon as we board or have to wait and sign up when you see it in the Navigator?
You can only get the tix onboard. Guest Services was our 2nd stop (after rearranging Palo) to get the tix. We got the martini ones, too, but we turned them back in for credit so we could do Bingo as a family instead.

Has anyone did the online checkin at? I haven't. I just read on another thread that someone had missed the deadline. I need to see when that is.
I did it for my mom but not for me yet. I think you have until 2 or 3 days before the cruise to get it done.

I wanted to let you know how much it means to me that I have cyberfriends who care! :grouphug: I'm sorry I hadn't checked in at all in the last few days, but I promise I will at least post a quickie if I'm too busy to check back often. You guys do the same, too! I'm so excited to actually meet all of you!! It's going to be a great cruise!!!
