Amanda is a crack up! She was the one that said we would be going to our house in Florida... She is so engrossed getting her website up for her new business she doesn't even know what she is saying... Anyway, we do have a a few houses on Lake Killarney in Winter Park however, because none of us claim Florida as our home state we cannot claim residency. Real bummer She is also trying to be a real grown up and stay at home this week while Jason is in LA. She has always been a bit of a chicken about staying at home alone, especially at night. I am sure her puppy Abby is keeping her company. She seems to be doing fine.

Good Morning Carole! Awwww.....that is kind of sweet about Amanda. I was the same way for the longest time before kids. My neighbor Linda still comes to our house to spend the night (dog Spanky in tow) when her husband Jack goes out of town and she is 60! Bummer on not being able to claim residency -- I was thinking you could be our new best friends!

I agree Mati, the board has been very quiet. Could be we are all trying to catch up on things we should have already done for the trip. I spent the day placing orders online as most of my shopping gets done that way anymore... SO much easier. I found a dress that I teasingly said I could use to renew our vows... This year is 40 years! We got married when we were 8... I can't be old enough to have been married 40 years. My father would agree... he tries to claim he is only 39 himself!

Are you renewing your vows too? I think it is such a great idea! Something I am kind of toying with for next summer (me and Yoni celebrate 10). I may have to do quite a bit of shopping online this year. I am running out of time and there are only so many stores near my office!

Some excellent news from us... DIL Alison has a new job! After nearly 10 weeks with nothing concrete this is a very welcome relief! Fortunately she had been given 8 weeks severance so not so bad. There are so many out there still looking, I feel so bad for them. That is all for now folks... Until later, Carole

Please pass along our congratulations to her. Even with 8 weeks severance, it is just stressful. Last week gave me a dose of what it must feel like for those folks who are suffering through it -- but much much worse for them. We are truly blessed!

It has been quiet, I have been avoiding DIS boards today because I received 2 PM's with people telling me they are going to copy my FE ideas.
I told them I sell them, but they just wanted the details on how I make them. Oh well......I just don't like people taking my hard thought out plans. (I am a snob when it comes to flattery with my ideas. ) I'll share deals, and if I like yah my ideas, but not to just anybody. You should ask my dream job friends...I'll make certain items and then never again. I like things that are rare. I have made custom DIsney hats for the dream jobs:

People tell me to sell them on ebay, but I don't want to. They are rare for a reason and I don't want people copying them. Oh well....learning my lesson (it sucks for me)

JorDan -- you are not being a brat. You are protecting your talent and you should -- the Hats, FEs, everything -- oh so FABULOUS! I saw that on the forum about folks wanting to copy. I was surprised you told how to do the Mickey Hands! You should feel good about what you can do and if you are trying to sell them, well, then you have your samples but don't tell how you did it! I started to worry this AM that we haven't gotten our FE yet.....

Oh -- and by the way, red hair looks cute but love the dark short hair from the last pic...

How exciting for both of you. I thought you had to wait forever for the ceremonies. How fantastic that your neighbors are throwing him a party (don't worry we won't spoil the surprise). Make sure to take LOTS of pictures.

Mati - I'm going to be able to going to Costco this weekend with my mom. She has a membership and we are going to try and switch the secondary card from my dads name to mine so I can swing by the store on my way home if she needs anything. I'm crossing my fingers that they will still have them. Although I'll keep my eyes peeled for the free shipping from Land's End. They have the swim shirts that I'm going to get for Jim and I. We are both really suseptable to sunburns and I'd rather just cover up than risk burning to a crisp and then having to suffer for the rest of the time.

Next time I get a Land's End catalog and spot the Free shipping -- will PM you. Was thinking I should probably order a swimsuit based on how a different one from Costco fit (or didn't) . I didn't see the swim shirts at Costco. I was thinking I need something like that for Kai. Not sure if the meds I am on only affect my face (they are topical but one is oral) or my whole body. I better figure it out before I whip out my itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini .

I think I've pretty much got all my clothes figured out (almost). I've put them in a bin in my closet and I'm starting to put in the little things that I want to rember to take but don't need at home.

WOW -- The only thing I have going is my bin with FE goodies. I am so focused on my MIL's visit that I don't think I will really be able to think about it until she leaves on April 11th. Of course, then there are the taxes..... .....so maybe on April 16th? Whoa -- that is one month out!

On AI down to the bottom two - not really surprised. I have my pic for who goes, but we'll have to see....

What did you think of the outcome? I kind of wanted the other one to go.....

Dishin' the dirt on me I see.... OK, so chicken is not really what I would call it... I just seem to be hyper sensitive to each and every noise that's all. LOL Jason comes home tomorrow - Thank goodness and he might be the one who's jet lagged but I'm sleeping all day Saturday.

We are all SUPER excited for Alison & her new job. It's a temp to perm but better then nothing!

Lynsey & Mati - I feel ya! My hubby is not as big a Disney fan as the rest of us but it seems like slowly I've been able to bring him over to our side! After taking him on the Disney cruise for our wedding, he's hooked on the "Disney Difference"! In fact, he even lets me display all my Disney collection pieces in display cases right next to HIS tv.

This will be out second Disney Cruise. We want in Nov 08 and had a blast. We will be with our son (12), duaghter (10), my parents, and friends who have a daughter (10) and son (7). I know counting days and making a countdown calendar is part it. We booked this back in December and since it was such a long time, we count Fridays. After today, there are only 8 more Fridays until the big cruise.

Glad you asked!! I always go for marshmallows dunked in milk chocolate. My fave topping is then half rolled in reeses pieces (obviously!) and half choc chips because when they set they form a divine later of thick chocolate! I then have this drizzled with caramel! My second choice would be sub orea crumbs for the choc chips!

My water shoes arrived today - thanks for letting me know I needed some I only ordered them yesterday - its the best customer service ever!! I have cute pink ones! I figure they will come in handy for SeaTrek in Grand Cayman as well!

I can't believe as of tomorrow there is only 8 more weeks!!!! I just realized that we are half way through March. Tomorrow is the first day of spring. I hope April goes by fast (I'll be busy-ish then so I know it will for me!)

The other bit of big news that some of you that are on FB might have seen is that Yoni went for his INS interview yesterday in San Antonio and they turned around and invited him to the swearing in ceremony TOMORROW! The good news of that is that we have plenty of time for him to get a US Passport before the cruise! The bad news is I had to scramble my schedule at work to get the time off so I can go take a picture of him. My neighbors are throwing him a party after --- shhhhhh, he doesn't know.

Hi Sonya ~ You are correct ! It is Bonine. All drug stores and stores such as Wal-Mart here carry Bonine. Many places even offer their own store brand for a few $$ less. Ok -- PHEW, all caught up now!

Yesterday I went to Costco at lunch and got some goodies for the cruise -- got me a swimsuit (dang those speedos, had to go up a size *sigh*), got Yoni a swimsuit, got Sabrina a swimsuit (did you know that it costs $35 for a "girl's" swimsuit? Yeesh -- she is only 7) and got the infamous water shoes. They had some for guys too so Yoni got a pair in black. BTW, my swimsuit, $20, Yoni's $14, Sabrina's $11.


Today has been super busy at work but did manage to get to Michael's for some FE shopping! They have some great items on clearance! I found a few goodies. I am very nervous about quantity so can't wait until we close the list off so I have a final count.

I'm almost done with the adult gifts. Like you though, I'm concerned about the final FE count. I haven't done any of the kids yet, I'm kinda holding out until it gets closer to April 1st.

Hows the formal shopping, Did you decide on your dress? I need to start planning my daily outfits. I see where some of the girls are doing that in advance. I think its a pretty good idea. I'm a mess when it comes to what to wear, definatly a girly girl that takes hours!!!!

JorDan, I would be the same way! You work hard on the projects you create. They come from your heart and it is you that takes pride in your work. Others shouldn't reap the credit of an idea from the heart of another

I'm going to the mall this weekend in hopes of trying on some LandsEnd clothes to either buy them (though thye likely will not have what I want) and to be sure that I'm ordering the right size! I'd like to avoid returning things if at all possible (I HATE returning things!)

Does anyone else listen to the podcasts? I was listening to the one for last week where they were talking about the cruise and got some tips on what to bring (TP - apparently the stuff on the ship is like sandpaper). They also raved about Palo, especially the brunch. Just really made me want to be there RIGHT NOW!!
