Here's our master pieces from Goofy's back in 2006.

Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone too!!! :thumbsup2 Plus the weather was actually nice here today so much so that I watched a groundhog out my window at work sunbathe, yes it was a slow day, I think he was confused and thought it was Groundhogs Day. :rotfl:

Oh, How I wish I had a rice krispy mickey right now!!!!!:cloud9: So yummy! I wish these 59 days would hurry up!!:yay:
Lynsey, thats a great photo of you and your hubby! Your so photogenic!!:)

Hopefully we can find some of these rice crispies onboard! And thanks for the comment. I actually hate picture of myself, well at least then I was 10 pounds lighter. Oh the things that married life will do to you! ;)

I am SO drooling over the Goofy's treats. I'm trying to be good this week with the indulgences so I can lose some weight before the cruise, but MAN those look good.

Sonya - we are going to be in WDW for one week prior to the cruise. We LOVE the Earl of Sandwich too so we already have plans to visit there for lunch at least once, guess we'll have to stop and get some "samples" at Goofy's (just so we know what to order for the kids):rotfl2:

Off to take the dog for a walk...

Jane

Hi everyone!

I am back from Vegas and looks like I have to catch up on quite a bit. Stayed at the Venetian and it was nice but definitely a meat market - think it was because we were there during the start of spring break.

I am so behind in the world of fish extenders, magnets, planning, must get my act together. Plus I have at least 10 more lbs to lose.

Hope you all have a great day!

You two are so cute!!!! And the snacks aren't half bad either!!:rotfl2:

Welcome back! I think Vegas is ALWAYS a meat market (especially the high end nightclubs)! Hope you had a wonderful trip!

Hi Jane... and Hi to everyone on the boards tonight :)...

I can not send a private message until I have 10 posts... this is my 4th... I will pm you my email address as soon as it lets me....

Thanks again for the warm welcomes... you guys are awesome...

I feel like a stalker because I have been lurking for so long ha.. I will also post pix as soon as I can...

It seems to be have been pretty quiet on here today, maybe everyone had to much St. Patty's Day fun. I've been reading about all the talk on the new menus on the main forum. I hope someone posts there really soon. I'm very curious on what the changes are!

I hope you had fun. I used to have to travel to vegas for work so I've never been fond of it myself (of course all I ever saw of it were the meeting spaces and the hallways to and from those meeting rooms). Jim would love to go for a weekend but since neither of us gamble I'd rather spend our vacation bucks at DL.

Demetris - I sent you a PM with my email address.

Normally when I come to check out the boards in the evening there are at least two pages - today only half of one. Everyone must be swamped.

Did anyone watch AI this week? I really liked Chris and Danny.

J

Ok -- have been super busy with work past couple of days so -- going to see if I can beat Val for the longest reply!!!!! Like her, I will split it up. This is from 2 days ago first....

****CRUISE DEAL ALERT********

I was just in Costco and I found a great deal on some water shoes!! They are Speedo and feel just like a croc. Lightweight, covers your toes, comfortable. Very decent price of $20.
Here is mine:
l_7a26da14fdee448e9d49f6bdb6b77c01.jpg

They had them in black and pink. So go check out your local Costco for some.

FYI- I found them on speedousa.com and they are $35! So it's a great find at Costco!

Ok -- soooooo, JorDan, it was like fate. I went to Costco after work yesterday on a mission to find me a pair of these shoes. I couldn't find them and was about to leave when a guy sent me down an aisle looking for individual packs of jelly bellys (thought they would be a good FE gift BUT alas, no where to be found) and wouldn't you know it, there on the endcap....the shoes!!!! :dance3: Sooo....saw the black and pink and then spotted these super cute shoes in baby blue! They didn't have my size (9 woo hoo) in blue so bought them in black. My neighbor went back today and she found me the blue!!! Will return the black this weekend. Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

That is so cool, Yea Chris is very...whats the word...umm...CLINGY! I keep thinking that maybe one time he will surprise us and stay in the kids club. He loves to go and loves to play, but only with us there! Last 7 day cruise we even had him meet a friend but he still wouldnt stay. :sad2: I have signed him up this time though, thinking that ya never know what a few months will do for his indepence level and that IF he wants to go, he will be all signed up:rolleyes1

Im sure you will recognize that I am from the DIS boards from our stateroom door...Im one of the ones from here that always has magnets from top to bottom

Shauna (it is Shauna right? your name isn't on the cheat sheet yet :rolleyes1 )....maybe just maybe Chris and Kai will hit it off? Kai is more clingy than Sabrina (my DD7) but even he can really have a great time alone. We plan on heading to the Mickey pool almost immediately, maybe they can meet then?

What a great hubby!!! I wish we could extend our stay too, oh well I guess I'll just have to convince him on another Disney vacation. He's slowly becoming a Disney convert! ;)

Lynsey -- Jason sounds like Yoni. He enjoys Disney but doesn't really want to admit it yet....I am working on him!

Mati - check out the website that I listed for Belinda - I've never used it, but it might help.

Thanks! Will give it a shot!!!

I love the look of the shoes on Lands End. I'm a chicken about ordering and paying for shipping and then have them not fit. They do look really cool.

Jane -- I think they have FREE shipping offers right now. If I get one will PM you the code. You can return items to any Sears too so that helps....

We're only going to be at the park 7 days but bought 10 day passes with no expiration dates. We know we'll be going back since we are DVC members so we just consider it an investment. Heck the way the stock market is going it will probably have a better return on investment than some stock.

I had the same idea but it just still doesn't add up. I think we will only go for 2 days so unfortunately will be buying 2 1 day passes....:scared1: Thank God Yoni got that job!!!!

I'm off to watch my recording of Amazing Race. Tomorrow AI!!
Jane

I am so behind on that show but will not give up. I LOVE Amazing Race. Watching AI results right now!

Hi guys! I am just doing a quick check-in to let you know that we are still alive here! It's been about 10 days since I've been on the boards! I think I have 21 pages to catch up on:upsidedow I think it might take a while!

I will catchup and comment tomorrow (hopefully)! Hope everyone is well and having fun shopping!

Kym

Hi Kym!!!! Did Faith ever get Sabrina's email? She has been busy with Spring Break so not asking but I am worried I will miss her response...

I think this will go down as the longest post in history. (Actually had to divide it into 2 posts.) Yes, I got white. Old Navy didn't have many other colors to choose from that would show the detail real well. I thought about gray but decided on white. Has anyone looked for iron-on transfers yet? I'm going to get some new ones since the last ones from 7 years ago didn't stay on very well after a few washings. If anyone has had good luck with a specific brand, please let us know! :goodvibes

I would say I am going to top you but everyone has been quiet the past few days.....

I bought transfers today. They are cotton iron ons? I got them w/my 40% off coupon from Michael's so only cost @$3 for the 5. I will try them on the kids shirts first (they are cheaper). Thinking I will go with white too..

Yup...5'10". Justin & I always argue over who is taller. We are EXACTLY the same height!!

Jeeeeeeez Louise! You are tall Val!!! What a combo, tall, thin and beautiful. Hmmm...maybe I won't stand next to you in any pictures!!!

Sonya - I just popped back to say I've started reading your food report and it is amazing, I'm just to page 6 but I'm getting some great tips for our trip. I've heard about Goofy's Candy Co. and thought the treats would be fantastic to bring home to the boys. Guess we will either have to ship them home before we get on the ship or stop by DTD on the way to the airport. There is NO way I'd be able to have them in the room for a week and not dive into them.Jane

Wasn't her report FABULOUS! I have never heard of Goofy's Candy Co before but I guess we now have to make that a stop for us!!!!! Can't wait!

Ok, moving on to the next day....

One thing that we did on the last MAGIC Cruise, was that they had a place for everyone to meet up whenever they wanted (like an ice cream thing)...say like everyday anyone who wanted to, could meet up around 3pm in front of the ice cream station...whomever wanted to meet up could, whomever didnt, didnt have to. It was nice to know that if we needed our DIS friends fix, we could meet up each day or just when we had some free time. No obligation :goodvibes
.......
I will try to find a recent pic of our family to post so that you all can recognize Chris on the cruise as well :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Shanua (oh gosh, so nervous about screwing up names again! :scared1: ) -- that sounds like a great idea! I know that I am more of a "check everything out" type of gal whereas Yoni is more of a "lay around and leave me alone" type of guy so it is always nice to find a friend when I want someone to "share" with..... Yes to the pictures please! I will work on posting more this weekend....

.
Link to milkshake thread with video

Thanks Tim! I thought it was hilarious!!!! I won't have a "special" cup like some of you but am already on the hunt for one I can use!

The suspense is terrible! I can't wait any longer! I need my cruise NOW.

Tammy -- I am with you. In fact, if I WFH, I am finding it impossible to get much done which is why I have been in the office the past 2 days!
I'm okay with just ordering the adult sizes, and I'll still take 4.

Yup -- me too. I figure I can cut 2 of the adults and restring or something for the kids????

Our snorkeling gear came in today. It's all beginning to feel very *real* :)Wheeee! Sara

Hi Sara! I need to get some. Thinking I may go the cheapo route and get them from Target.....

What I wouldn't do for a job that sends me for training at the Boardwalk! You are so lucky!! Do you need any new staff?!

You and me both Sonya! I may get to go to a conference in May (yes, the week before we leave :scared1: ) and it is in Santa Clara....Not quite as exciting as the Boardwalk.

I spend all my free time reading trip reports and food reports, Tony thinks I am insane!

Nice to know I am not the only one....:rolleyes1

Here's our master pieces from Goofy's back in 2006.

WOW -- looks FABULOUS!!!! :upsidedow

Hopefully we can find some of these rice crispies onboard! And thanks for the comment. I actually hate picture of myself, well at least then I was 10 pounds lighter. Oh the things that married life will do to you! ;)

Belinda is right -- it is a great picture! All you beautiful young things -- hmmmm...Loucinda, may need to visit you before the cruise!!!! :rotfl2:

POST-CRUISE PARTY AT AMANDA'S!!!!! If there is enough interest, that can be arranged! Carole

wait a sec...when did it become my house mom??? LOL

You guys are tooooooo funny!!!!

Yummy on the Goofy treats!!!!! Another treat I need to look into...

As for the Formal Wear, I was looking for some dresses and came across a search of KMart/Sears...
Really good prices on dresses....there are pages and pages of them!

JorDan -- you are becoming a girl after my own heart... SUCH a BARGAIN HUNTER! I am loving it! Keep the deals coming!!!

Ok, moving on to today's posts....

Ok -- we really were a quiet bunch today!!! This should catch me up. I don't think I beat Val though! ;)

Hi everyone!

I am back from Vegas and looks like I have to catch up on quite a bit. Stayed at the Venetian and it was nice but definitely a meat market - think it was because we were there during the start of spring break.

Hi Indigodisney (do we have your name?) We are going to Vegas in 2 weeks and staying at the Venetian too! I hope it isn't too much of a meat market....

I am starting to get more items for FEs, magnets, etc and oh, have a lot more than 10 lbs to lose but hey, who's counting? :lmao:

I feel like a stalker because I have been lurking for so long ha.. I will also post pix as soon as I can...

Demetris

Demetris -- don't feel like a stalker! Just keep posting! It is more fun that way!!!!

It seems to be have been pretty quiet on here today, maybe everyone had to much St. Patty's Day fun. I've been reading about all the talk on the new menus on the main forum. I hope someone posts there really soon. I'm very curious on what the changes are!

Agreed -- it has been quiet!!! I have been tracking the menu posts too. I can't wait to see the new menus!!!

Ditto -- I have been there a million times for conferences. We are going this time because my MIL and her DH will be in town from Finland and want to go (they have never been). Me and Yoni are only staying for 2 nights. I don't really gamble but do plan on laying by the pool and reading a good book....hmmm and maybe having some of that, wait, what's that magic word? BUBBLY!!! :dance3:

I'm watching the results show right now. I thought most of the guys were really good, esp. Danny, Matt, Chris and Anoop. We'll see how the votes go! :yay:

Just finished. I missed most of it last night so hard to say if the right person left but, well, no spoilers right? :)

Ok -- PHEW, all caught up now!

HELLLLLOOOOOOOO.......HELLLLOOOOOOOO....Where is everyone?

It sure is quiet!

So, to explain my silence, I have been working in the office the past couple of days. I do use my blackberry and cheat to read posts but don't dare post anything from work.

Yesterday I went to Costco at lunch and got some goodies for the cruise -- got me a swimsuit (dang those speedos, had to go up a size *sigh*), got Yoni a swimsuit, got Sabrina a swimsuit (did you know that it costs $35 for a "girl's" swimsuit? Yeesh -- she is only 7) and got the infamous water shoes. They had some for guys too so Yoni got a pair in black. BTW, my swimsuit, $20, Yoni's $14, Sabrina's $11.

The other bit of big news that some of you that are on FB might have seen is that Yoni went for his INS interview yesterday in San Antonio and they turned around and invited him to the swearing in ceremony TOMORROW! The good news of that is that we have plenty of time for him to get a US Passport before the cruise! The bad news is I had to scramble my schedule at work to get the time off so I can go take a picture of him. My neighbors are throwing him a party after --- shhhhhh, he doesn't know. :dance3:

So, on his high from the INS, Yoni dragged me out SUIT shopping. Ok, for you guys out there -- to me, going shopping for a suit is probably equivalent to you guys going shopping for Dresses with your wife. It was horrible. He found a suit (actually 2) but hasn't bought them yet. He will this weekend and I guess that means I have to buy a dress for the cruise.

Today has been super busy at work but did manage to get to Michael's for some FE shopping! They have some great items on clearance! I found a few goodies. :cloud9: I am very nervous about quantity so can't wait until we close the list off so I have a final count.

Oh - and Val, Tour Guy Mike (TGM) is apparently some guy who will make you a tour plan customized to your family for WDW. I think it costs something like $20? A friend of mine did it and said it changed her entire experience. She highly advised it but thought I would ask here first.

Hmmmm......what else, ah, bought some sunscreen for the cruise. SPF70  Apparently the DR said some of the meds I am on make my face very sensitive to the sun. So, if I use SPF30 everywhere else, am I going to look bizarre with a WHITE face and tan body? :rotfl2:

Ok, so -- you guys are so quiet, almost feel like I am talking to myself. Will stop the ramble....need to go read some TRs!!!!

Have a good night everyone!

Amanda is a crack up! She was the one that said we would be going to our house in Florida... She is so engrossed getting her website up for her new business she doesn't even know what she is saying... Anyway, we do have a a few houses on Lake Killarney in Winter Park however, because none of us claim Florida as our home state we cannot claim residency. Real bummer:sad2: She is also trying to be a real grown up and stay at home this week while Jason is in LA. She has always been a bit of a chicken about staying at home alone, especially at night. I am sure her puppy Abby is keeping her company. She seems to be doing fine.

I agree Mati, the board has been very quiet. Could be we are all trying to catch up on things we should have already done for the trip. I spent the day placing orders online as most of my shopping gets done that way anymore... SO much easier. I found a dress that I teasingly said I could use to renew our vows... This year is 40 years! We got married when we were 8... I can't be old enough to have been married 40 years. My father would agree... he tries to claim he is only 39 himself!

Some excellent news from us... DIL Alison has a new job! After nearly 10 weeks with nothing concrete this is a very welcome relief! Fortunately she had been given 8 weeks severance so not so bad. There are so many out there still looking, I feel so bad for them.

That is all for now folks... Until later, Carole

:cool1: Hooray for those who found the water shoe deals!!!!!:cool1:
It's hard sometimes when stores don't carry them in all of them.

It has been quiet, I have been avoiding DIS boards today because I received 2 PM's with people telling me they are going to copy my FE ideas.
I told them I sell them, but they just wanted the details on how I make them. Oh well......I just don't like people taking my hard thought out plans. (I am a snob when it comes to flattery with my ideas.) I'll share deals, and if I like yah my ideas, but not to just anybody. You should ask my dream job friends...I'll make certain items and then never again. I like things that are rare. I have made custom DIsney hats for the dream jobs:
2532_135907770509_594280509_6141041_8147483_n.jpg

(yes I am the one with the bright red hair, in the Princess hat hahaha)
People tell me to sell them on ebay, but I don't want to. They are rare for a reason and I don't want people copying them. Oh well....learning my lesson (it sucks for me)
Just ask Belinda...I LOVE to make custom made things! :P

Ok enough about me being a brat....Hope everyone else had a better day. Looks like things are looking up for a few of you! Hooray!! Soon our cruise will be here to celebrate!

Congratulations Yoni!!!!:cool1: :cool1:   :yay: :yay:

How exciting for both of you. I thought you had to wait forever for the ceremonies. How fantastic that your neighbors are throwing him a party (don't worry we won't spoil the surprise). Make sure to take LOTS of pictures.

I guess you should be flattered that you came up with such a great idea that people want to copy it. I don't think that you have to feel bad about not sharing your pattern. If they want to copy then they will just have to figure it out on their own. Don't let them bully you by keeping you away from the boards.

Mati - I'm going to be able to going to Costco this weekend with my mom. She has a membership and we are going to try and switch the secondary card from my dads name to mine so I can swing by the store on my way home if she needs anything. I'm crossing my fingers that they will still have them. Although I'll keep my eyes peeled for the free shipping from Land's End. They have the swim shirts that I'm going to get for Jim and I. We are both really suseptable to sunburns and I'd rather just cover up than risk burning to a crisp and then having to suffer for the rest of the time.

I think I've pretty much got all my clothes figured out (almost). I've put them in a bin in my closet and I'm starting to put in the little things that I want to rember to take but don't need at home.

Sonya - I haven't had a chance to read any more of your report. What was your favorite Goofy's treat combination?

I'm going to have to watch the boards for the new menu information.

On AI down to the bottom two - not really surprised. I have my pic for who goes, but we'll have to see....

Mati: Congratulationsto Yoni! :thumbsup2 That's wonderful news! Hope you and he have a wonderful day today!

Jane/Mati: If you see a free shiping for Lands End, please PM the code to me! I've already got everything picked out, but I hate the idea of paying $20 to ship it (and that's the cheapest option)!

I'm going to the mall this weekend in hopes of trying on some LandsEnd clothes to either buy them (though thye likely will not have what I want) and to be sure that I'm ordering the right size! I'd like to avoid returning things if at all possible (I HATE returning things!)

It's been quieter on the boards, but I find I just don't have as much to say... (Generally I'm a motormouth, so that's a little weird...) Things are picking upa little in the new office, so I've been busier (which is good)!

Hope everyone has a great day!
