Mati

I just wanted to let you know that Jalen has sent Sabrina a email.
....
Hi Jamie! Sabrina is about 1/2 way through a response to Jalen. I'll get her to finish it up this afternoon. She is so funny trying to figure out what to ask. This cruise thing is completely new to her and she has only been to WDW once briefly (I know, am a HORRIBLE parent) so she isn't quite sure what to expect.

. . . wasted time today reading reviews of the burgers at Beaches N Cream!!

Sounds like I should go check out that WDW dining option!

As I mentioned earlier I used to be an exercise instructor, but doing 11 aerobic classes a week was nothing compared to this - it is changing the shape of my body so much! My DH is doing it with me as well - he has only ever done running before so its a massive change for him and he's loving it as well - he has never before managed to tone his upper body (sshh!!) but I can see such a change in him! Muscle is the way forward!!:rotfl2:
....
There is a diet board on the WISH part of the forums called "Disappearing Peeps" - come over and have a look sometime if you want people to chat diets or exercise with! We all weigh in on a Friday (not your actual weight, just how much you have lost) and everyone is really supportive.

Eeep, ummmm, do I get a free pass on some of my padding because I am so much older than you????? ;) I believe in weight lifting but unfortunately am shaped like a linebacker and put on muscle like crazy so have to be careful or I will look like a football player (American football). My DH has the same issue -- hmmmm, wonder if it is a European thing? ;) I have to check out the WISH board --- heaven knows I have a BIG WISH!

It's just my own list of things to do (car service & rental, Hyatt, etc.) and things to buy. I waited way too long last time and felt too rushed when I was buying a bunch of stuff last minute, so I'm trying to get a jump start on it this time.

.....
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
If you don't know, you may not want to know!!! It's only about the cheapest beer you can find!! (aka Pabst Blue Ribbon) You either really love it or really hate it! Hey, the can says it was voted America's best beer in 1880 or something like that. (Have you ever heard "PBR me ASAP?")

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and here I thought it was some fru fru drink. Ok, so PBR is not bad -- just don't tell Yoni I said he loves the Bahma Mama!!! :rolleyes1

Glad we won't be the only over 40s on the ship (or at least in this group).

EagleMom - I'm with ya - I just turned 45, but DH is a spring chicken at 39...

Woo Hoo -- love being a Spring Chicken at 38! My DH is really a baby -- he is only 34 (35 on the ship). Gotta love the younger men!

Sounds like we need to have a DIS friendly poker game set up.

My DH, Brother, and Dad like to play. Texas Hold Em seems to be the fav. My sister-in-law would probably play too... me... not so much.

who's got the biggest room? lol. :rotfl:

.....

Poker game -- hmmm, not sure I want DH playing poker on the ship BUT if everyone is playing, might be fun?

I think it would be super cool if people don't know what to give or are super tight on funds that they could give......

A recipe card with your most favorite recipe! I think that is a super inexpensive, yet PRICELESS gift.

The key to a killer recipe for me is:
Must taste good
Must be simple to make
Must make people think you spent FOREVER

Any recipes for Key Lime Pie out there.... lol :rotfl:

LOVE the idea!!!! I have an incredible Mexican Martini recipe -- YUM!

Oh good news everyone - today I discovered a second store in the UK which sells Reece's Pieces! But still no sign of Graham Crackers in the Uk :sad1: so looks like I have to raid Walmart again and bring a suitcase home!!

Ok, second mental note -- buy Sonya Graham Crackers!!!!

My nephews are going to wear Pirate costumes that I picked up at the Disney store on Clearance! :cool1: (Capt Jack)

I think the adults are just going to wear Pirate of the Caribbean T-shirt or something like that.

Kai has the same costume from the Disney Store!!! I got Sabrina one from Cracker Barrel -- it is boyish but I want to add some pink or glitter to it to make it more "girly" for her. Right now the plan is for me and DH to borrow some costumes from our neighbors but am on the lookout for nice pirate t-shirts and might just buy us some pirate ears at DTD before the cruise....

Ok, so didn't get any work done and didn't get any cruise planning done. I did do 2 loads of laundry, does that count????:laundy:

"The Keylime Castaway Crew"
"The Key Lime Pirates Conquer the Western Caribbean"
“Pirates of the Western Caribbean - Search for the FLKP treasure"
"The Key Lime Pirates Conquer the Western Caribbean"
"The Castaway Crew"
“Key Lime "Pie-rates”

I was thinking we could vote by Friday. What do you guys think?

I'd vote for the Key Lime Pie-Rates one. It's cute!

Ok, so all the talk on the DIS main thread about insurance has me wondering -- do we need it? I turned it down and right now haven't purchased any. Our health insurance via work will cover us out of the country and I thought I read the coast guard will handle evacuations in the bahamas, so other than a personal disaster -- do you think we need it? If I bring it up to DH he will say NO but am beginning to worry.....

Yoni plays poker every Friday night unless we have something else planned. He plays Texas Hold 'em. We can't play poker against each other because I can read him like a book. I have never heard of 10-point pitch. I need to look that up. We have tried to get something going here monthly in the neighborhood but so far no big luck. We did the BUNKO thing for awhile but that fizzled out.

I recommend insurance mainly for the medical evacuation coverage. The cost for an evac can run between $15k and $100k and is generally NOT covered by most health insurance plans. We always get a "cheap" policy mainly for this reason.

Sounds like we need to have a DIS friendly poker game set up.

My DH, Brother, and Dad like to play. Texas Hold Em seems to be the fav. My sister-in-law would probably play too... me... not so much.

who's got the biggest room? lol. :rotfl:

Anyway, regarding the FE:
We have 4 rooms & all 4 will be participating. We have a few good ideas for FE gifts, some homemade & some bought. Nothing too over the top. I think we would rather have one list, splitting into two might make it more difficult then anything.

I think I'm also going to make some special DIS stationary, but we'll see. ;)

Adam LOVES Texas Holdem, so if something gets planned please let us know. He loved playing it on our Carnival cruise and would love to play it on this one. We even have a kit with the chips if we needed to bring it!

As for FE....I didn't mean to create a problem. I just found a good deal on things for kids this weekend and bought them. One thing was mainly for the sail away party and the others were just random. I won't be spending much more!

Hey guys!

Does anyone know the dining rotation for the second seating? Compared to the first?

Oh and has any of you tried that new dinosaur restaurant and DTD? We are planning on spending the day before their and the evening at Epcot. I'd like to try it if its worth it?:)

W'ERE GETTING CLOSER TO THE KLP!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I think the rotations are the same (5:30 same as 8:00, 5:45 same as 8:15, etc.).

I've been really wanting to try that restaurant as well! I would consider going Friday for a late lunch, but we'll just have to see how our plans go. We are staying at the Radisson Friday night, so we'll see.

Beaches-N-Cream is a great place to eat. It is always busy. It is within an easy walk from the Swan hotel. We go there a couple of times each trip. It is very nice to walk around the "beach" after eating and you can walk over to the bridge and watch EPCOT firworks without actually going in EPCOT. Just a great area. As I have said before you can stay at the Beach Club Villas as cheap as any moderate hotel.

Oh dear, where to start! Ok let's see. I love the recipe idea for an inexpensice FE gift. For the gift we are giving it's also very school craft-ish and every room will be receiving the same thing.

Thank you all for sharing your baby experiences! You just never know how things will work out of course it might happen right away but we may be in for the long haul.

For pirate night I don't think we will be dressing up, unless we wear some type of pirate inspired shirts.

I would LOVE to loose 10-15 pounds by the cruise but know I would have to cut down to 1,000 calories a day and I don't want to starve myself (I just love food way too much). For some reason I'm pretty good about motivating myself to workout. About 6 years ago I lost 50 pounds during college by exercising and cutting my calories way down, but over the past few years I've been accumulating the pounds back. I also keep a food and exercise journal where I track my meals with calories, what exercise I do each day, and appx. calories burned. I actually updated my excel spreadsheet tonight and I've only missed 7 days going to the gym this year. I tell my DH that as much as I workout I should look like a model by now, but it's just not working. From my waist up I'm average, but from the waist down is my problem area!

Oh, and as a reminder DH and I have the main dining seating and are still interesting in linking up with whoever would like.

DH and I are looking forward to the themed nights in the clubs on the ship. We never go out dancing/kareoke/etc. around here so we are super excited to let loose and have a good time. We are hoping that a lot of you will be in the clubs each night joining us!

Hey Lucyddr:)

Do you know what the restaurant line up is?

I looked at the menu for that resturant at DTD and it looks really good!! We land at 11am on Friday morning and will be at POFQ. Let me know if you decide to hit that place up for lunch!!!:)

Are you two doing any spa treatments? Ive never tried the spa on our previous cruises so I'm starting to consider it??:confused3

We took DD to the TRex restaurant in December and it was very cool and we went early so we didn't have to line up. From about 6 onward it was totally lined up - I think you can make ADR's there now. If you go there, you will definitely have fun...

Sorry, me again. Having a bit of a planning night!

What are you all doing for pirate night, costume wise? Do you all dress up, do nothing, or just a little something . . . I have found a pirate hat I like and was wondering if that is enough?

We dressed up in December - I wore a white piratey blouse and my DD and DH were dressed up. We had fun at the party.

Can you see the fireworks really good from pretty much anywhere on the top deck? They didnt' have the pirate show the last time we cruised. We're really excited about that!!!

We are just going to wear pirate tshirts and bandanas. I did buy a pirate costume on halloween but we already have to take so much with us:sad2:

American Idol - Can someone in the US please vote for Adam Lambert for me - not a lot of people stood out tonight and he did. Pretty Please?

We are doing the clear kayak excursion in Cozumel and renting a car in GC. I think the ones you have selected here look great from the descriptions and we considered them....

We have always wanted to do a kayak but I think the hubby and I would tip them:rotfl2: My hubby is a pretty good size guy.
I figured their must be a weight limit so we always passed them up.
