hey Tink...tells us a little more about your business. Do you plan to design and print your own invitations? Plan to photograph some of the events (e.g. baby showers, graduations, etc.)?

Eagle Mom
We are old too. haha. My son is 22 and my daughter will be 20 on May 19th. They are both in college right now and he graduates in May. The Disney trip was kind of for his graduation. He wanted to go back to Europe but it is just too expensive now.

Glad we won't be the only over 40s on the ship (or at least in this group). Congratulations on the upcoming graduation. My older son is in a program for Adults with Disabilities (he has Asperger Syndrome - a high functioning form of Autism). My youngest is doing the Jr. College thing since he has no idea what he wants to study. Just finishing up the general ed and testing the waters. This will be our first vacation without them (so it will be a little weird - but we'll get over it).:rolleyes1

WOW -- so we are getting to be a busy group! Sit in a meeting all day and find 2 1/2 pages to read -- Woo Hoo! :cool1:

I am getting excited for the cruise. We are going to have so much fun. I really need a vacation at this point. Work has been crazy and just life seems stressful in general. I need to get my mom and sister's cabin an fe....

anyone have any ideas what they are bringing??

I am with you. I NEED a vacation and this is ALL I can think about. I am hoping to get some serious R&R on the ship! No idea on the FE yet but did pick up a small little surprise for the little girls on the ship!

I will (I always forget how old I am and have to do some quick math in my head ) be 27 on the cruise.

I wonder how many birthdays we have on the cruise? I know my DH and then there is a DD but off top of my head can't remember whose (need to check your list Val!). Also the vow renewal and an anniversary or two right?

I DO, TOO!!! I can remember how old everyone else is but not me. I finally figured out about a year ago that I just add 30 years to my youngest son's age. Duh! That's the only way I can remember now!.

I with you guys. I forget all the time! It doesn't help that Sabrina thinks I am 20 :dance3: (and don't anyone correct her please!) I always have to stop and count -- pretty sad and getting to be scary :scared1:

I LOVE twilight! I loved Harry Potter too, but I was soooo hooked on twilight that I read all the books in only a week or so... I have re-read the 1st one again already. Out of all of them, the best one is Midnight Sun (too bad it's not finished and who knows when or if ever....)

PS... the movie is a sad representation of the book.
I LOVE Twilight! I read all four books in a week too! DH thought I was nuts! What is Midnight Sun? I haven't heard of that one -- what am I missing????

Tex look at my past post dont book through disney and you will save alot of money. I booked through the dolphon place itself and for 3 people it cost me 161 rather then 400 through disney.

thanks for the tip! We decided to wait on the dolphin until DS is a bit older. We are heading to Nachi Cocum for the day for more R&R on the beach!

I got two of my cousins and a friend to read Percy Jackson and the three of them loved it as well. It puts some people off because they compare it too much to HP, but I tell people that Harry Potter is a fairytale fantasy. So is Percy Jackson. A lot of the common elements are represented in both novels, so yes, there will be some similarities.

Wolf Brother and the rest of the COAD series also has similar elements, although I think it's easier to get over because it takes place in the past.

Thanks for the tip -- I'll have to check it out!

Even though I have kids, I don't want to be stuck at a table with a family that has 8 kids either!! .

I with you guys -- I have 2 kids and don't want to sit at a table with 8 kids! I got the late seating with the idea that I would feed the kids early half the time and be able to relax and enjoy a dinner without them the other half! Still open to linking up if anyone wants to. I think I lost Lucydr to the early seating -- we will miss you at dinner Lucyddr!

After looking at the menu I can honestly say the most appealing item on the menu for DH would be the Philly Cheese Steak ....He's the only person I know who goes into a seafood restaurant and orders a Philly Cheese Steak, lol!!!.

I am with him! I will find the hamburger/philly/chicken whatever is non-fish on the menu! A Philly sounds good though! Maybe we will have to try Rusty's!

Does anyone know how far the Four Points is from the Radisson?

Ok, end of long post -- Tink113, PM me and I will send you the link to a friend of mine who has an invitation business here in Austin. She has been doing it about 4 years? Something like that.

Ok, off to read the rest of the boards. Man it is hard to work when all you can think about is Disney!!!!

My invitations & stationary company would handle all types of stationary. For weddings, I can do Invites, thank you cards, programs, menus, table cards, wedding weekend info cards, etc... I made all the stationary for my wedding and have had people ask me when i'm going to do theirs (lol). I can also handle Graduations, Baby Showers, Wedding Showers, and everything in between.

Here is a link to photos of my wedding stationary. They are not super great photos & I wont use them to promote (at the time I just took them for my own references, not caring about the background or positioning)...
Does that help?

I may also do some photography as well. I have photographed 2 weddings, one proposal, and one engagement session. I have bridals & another engagement session coming up. Most of these are for friends. The weddings were my cousin & one of my bridesmaids. (She had a pro photographer, but only for a couple hours). I was super excited she and her hubby told me they liked my photos the best. I think i took about 600 over the course of the day. I like capturing special moments people often forget about (like getting your makeup done) not just the wedding.

OK, i'm going to turn into a 15 year old girl here... bare with me... :rotfl:
OMG! If you haven't read Midnight sun, get on it. It is Twilight from Edward's perspective. Stephanie started writing it a while back & set a few copies out to friends, etc... Well, she was heartbroken when she found out that her unfinished work had been leaked onto the internet by one of the people she had sent it to. To keep people from going to the website where she claims her work was stolen from her (and it was), she decided the only decent thing to do was to post it on her own website.....however, she has been really hurt by the whole thing and now swears that she will not finish it until people forget about it, if ever. It totally suck because Midnight Sun is the best of them all and it cuts off after chapter 11 (right before the meadow scene). Because it's from Edward's prospective, it's super interesting to see how his mind works and it's really funny. I love it. Even my guy friend (who is a totally jock, by the way & love Harry Potter) read the series after I made such a big deal out of it & his fav is by far Midnight Sun.

If you get the chance, check out her website. She wrote several shorts that are great additions. One of my favs is the conversation from book 2, when Rose calls Edward & tells him what Alice's vision made them all think happened to Bella...and then her call to Alice...

Anyway, clearly I could go on way too long...

Wow, I come home from work and the gym and you all have written a novel on here! I'm going to try and post most of what I'm thinking but know I'm going to forget something.

As far as the first "official" meet I was thinking 3 in the promenade lounge on the first day, it just seems to be such a popular time from all the trip reports I read. That should give everyone time for lunch and getting settled in their rooms and it would before the 4 drill. That way noone will miss the sail away party. I'm game for anything though.

For the FKLP are we all going to try and get together at sometime to taste together? We will also just be doing our own thing on Key West. Maybe do the trolly (I like the idea of being able to get on and off whenever we want).

Ok, so I'm back on a group name. Is this something people are still interested in or has it died?

Now a little about my DH and I:

I love to workout (lots of cardio and Zumba) but I also love sweets so I'm not sure how much good I'm doing. I'm over-organized, love all types of music, like to sing and play the piano, love to bake, try to be crafty, and watch college football. I'm a huge animal lover and will try anything once! Oh and I'm a big reality tv fan. I'm changing positions and work and will be a financial reporting coordinator.

My DH is an outdoors man, he loves to hunt and fish, ride motorcycles and four wheelers, and watch sports - baseball, nascar, and football mostly. He is a scientist with an environmental consulting company.

GORGEOUS!!! You're VERY talented!!

So who else is on Facebook? That's another obsession of mine at the present time (second to the DIS, of course!!)

Facebook is major obsession for me... We joke at work that we don't talk to each other, we just message via facebook. LOL

Good evening everyone!! :)

Disgirl83, I'm with you!! We need a group name!!!

I'm not on facebook but on myspace if anyone else is?

Hey, Is anyone staying at WDW the night before our magical voyage?

What does he ride? Bellamickey and I have been PM'ing each other about our Harleys because I didn't think anyone else here would be interested in hearing about it!! Maybe I'll have to post our bike pics here so everyone can see them!

He has a Yamaha Vulcan (but would secretly love a Harley - we just need to save up). I'm just a rider but am seriously thinking about taking a driving class. My dad has a Harley Fat Bob.

I'm on facebook and myspace and would be happy to add anyone!!! Ok, I'm a picture nut too, so I'll warn you that if you add me I'll probably end up looking through all your pics! :lmao:

Wanna be friends?!?!

Awww... I do! I do! but I don't have facebook:sad1:

It doesn't show Four Points on my mini map of PC in the PassPorter. :confused3 A quick search shows it's address is in Cocoa Beach, not Cape Canaveral--not sure of the distance between the two.

I was just telling Belinda (Bellamickey) last night about our bikes. We have a Harley Road King and also an "ol' skool choppa" that Justin custom built and finished just last year. Right now, he's in the process of chopping an old Yamaha XS650.

I'm on facebook and myspace and would be happy to add anyone!!! Ok, I'm a picture nut too, so I'll warn you that if you add me I'll probably end up looking through all your pics! :lmao:
ISN'T THAT THE POINT OF FACEBOOK?!?! :rotfl2: I'll add anyone, too! Let me know you're on the DIS, though, because I may not recognize your name otherwise!! I tend to ignore requests from people that I don't know, but I wouldn't want to ignore my DIS friends!! :grouphug:

Awww... I do! I do! but I don't have facebook:sad1:
Ya gotta get it, girl!!! :rotfl:

I thought my mom & stepdad were going to look into renting a Harley in KW, but I haven't heard them talk about it recently. I'll have to check with them and see if that's what they're still planning to do or not.
