YEAH Jordan, congrats. Okay just a warning I am a google nerd (it holds all lifes answers)

So here are a couple ideas that i found:

get some kiddy frames with balloons, clowns, etc. around the edges, and put in a 'picture' that read 'Watch this spot for photo of Baby _______ coming in (expected due date)!',"

singing telegrams 'Big Baby,' (adult dressed as a baby)

Present your mother with a cake that reads: "Happy Mothers' Day, Grandma" (especially appropriate at Mother's Day) Or a mother's day gift that says to grandma from baby___________

If you’re the expecting mother, show up at a family function with a t-shirt that reads ‘Baby on Board,’ ‘Due in June (or the month you are due)’ or ‘Baby’ with an arrow pointing at your belly.

Send or bring flowers - a bouquet of pink and blue flowers (or just pink and blue if you know the gender).

Give parents a book on grand parenting, such as ‘Chicken Soup for the Grandparent’s Soul‘ or ‘That’s What Grandparents Are For.’

JorDan -- THAT'S FANTASTIC! Congratulations! I travelled a ton through my pregnacy so if you have any questions ask away. It can be a great time. I guess we know what you'll be reading now -- "What to Expect When Your Expecting" I love the idea of the Grandma Willow Tree. My Mom collects them and I have a few myself. I think they are really beautiful. You can always top it off with a Grandma Mother's Day card.

Can it be because I can't DRINK on the cruise?

I may not be able to scuba dive?

A test was positive??

YES...........I"M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Wow I NEVER thought this would happen so soon. I've been an emotional basketcase for the past few weeks. With the cat attack I haven't been normal since then.
Well after receiving a stupid thing in the mail today, I broke down crying (which I NEVER do).
I ran into the bathroom and took a test! It was positive!!
I am trying to set up an emergency appointment with my Woman Dr ASAP before we leave. I'm paniced cause: A- never been preggo, B- going on vacation C- no clue what to do with being preggo!

Ok so first favor...since I JUST took the test, I don't know how far along I am or whatever.. DO NOT MENTION THIS ON FACEBOOK/MYSPACE NO WHERE, Please...yes I'm superstitious about the 3 month thingy, but with the cruise you guys can know.

Second...
Well as we all know Mothers Day is on Sunday. HELP!!! I need help trying to figure out how to tell the parents!! My in laws have 2 grandkids already and that sister told them about the 1st grandkid with binkies & bibs wrapped up. 2nd grandkid was a picture of the 1st grandkid and it said "I'm going to be a big brother". So those ideas are OUT.
This is what we are thinking....if you ever heard of them...a Willow Tree Figurine thats for 'Grandma'. Wrapping that and having them open that. My mom will FLIP OUT, it'll be her first grandbaby and she wants one SO bad!!!

Any other ideas?? OMG!! This is nuts!!!

Awww Jordan. It's going to be ok. I can't drink either but that doesn't mean we can't have the non-alcoholic kind of drinks

I think your idea about telling your parents is great. You could also wrap up a baby blanket and see if she gets the hint.

I'm very honored that you would tell us first...you made me cry with you. Welcome to the first trimester. Your hormones are going to be out of control for the next few weeks so get used to crying. They will eventually even out as I've recently found out.

Oh...another thing. You have to fill out the medical form and bring a note from your doctor saying how far along you are and that you are ok to go on the cruise. I found this out and had to provide one. Of course, you could always just not tell Disney and just go on the cruise.

You can take Drimamine for the motion sickness but I would recommend the less drowsy version.

Yes the hubby knows, He was shocked. Called me 'Fertile Murtle'. hahaha We are excited!!!!!
I had to tell my sister right away cause I need her help on Mothers Day. It's nice that even though she's older (27) there is NO competition about babies. She doesn't want to get preggo for a few more years, more when she's 30. So it's nice to know that she's 100% happy for me and excited and willing to help.

Well Allison, I DID give YOU a pregnancy scare. LOL!

As for Mother's Day, we found a cheaper idea that's just as cute. We found these picture frames at Target. One says 'Nana' on it- that's what my MIL prefers to be called. The other says "Grandkids"- for my mom. So we are going to print out a saying that says "Image Developing...."
That should do the trick.
I'll let you know how it all goes!

Jordan, my friend CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Even though Jake is 19 he is still my "baby" (and will always be ). Being a mom is the best "job" I could EVER imagine. It really makes my heart swell and tears to form in my eyes when I think about how much it means to me. Don't worry, I think there is always a virgin drink-of-the-day on the cruise . ~Kathy
