The Sookie books are a lot of fun. I just got #9 yesterday Wednesday in the mail.
Hey Mati,
If you really need to tone down the blonde, see if you could find a purple-ish/ toning shampoo for blondes at the store, I know Clairol makes one, pick it up and try if for a few days,it will calm the color down a bit and maybe you will be able to get by!
If not call the salon and they could throw a semi permanent color on and in
half an hour it will be a little softer.
I could always bring some color with me on the ship!!lol... Hairstylists never rest!!!!
Good luck, and if you need me to I could bring a few colors and we could foil your hair by the pool!!!!

Kristin
Ok, wow -- I posted early but somehow both of you slipped in between when I clicked reply and when it posted. Since I ended up on a new page, I never would have seen these posts if it weren't for Amanda's comments!!!!
So -- Tammy, whatcha think, if I bring the first book on the cruise will it distract me completely (I get book obsessed sometimes) or am I ok? Just thinking now maybe I should wait until I get back home. I was wondering what to do this summer, now I have all the HP books to re-read (before the movie comes out) and I can read the Sookie series....
Kristin -- you are so sweet. The friends I have made on this board are fantastic! I am hoping that the brassiness of the blond highlights will fade a bit after a couple of shampoos. It really isn't all blond but there are some bold highlights in front. If it still bothers me next week my hairdresser said she could add a toner. Now, if I had known I could have you foil my hair by the pool and give you the $$$$ well, then hey -- how can you beat that?

I think it will be ok it's just that I have pretty dark hair naturally and had more lowlights in for the fall so it was a bit of a shocker to have so much more red and blond. Maybe I will just be sassy and match my hair????
lol,
I have short hair but was wondering if I should pack my curling/flat Irons and pins in case of a hair emergency on Formal night for all of my peeps!lol
Kristin
Like I said -- you are amazing! I don't have super thick hair but rather, a lot of it (as my hairdresser told me yesterday) and it is soft (i.e. slippery) so doesn't hold any kind of updo. It curls well though so that helps. I would love pointers at some point on how to handle Sabrina's hair. She has really really fine hair which at her age can look rather stringy,. but seriously, you are there as our friend, drinking buddy, walking buddy, touring buddy, crying buddy, laughing buddy, well, you get the idea. You are not there as our hairdresser although, I thinking between you and Val we could have one heck of a "makeover" party!!!!
I was playing around checking availability for various CAT rooms and noticed that CAT 6's are not GTY anymore. After the room assignments came out they showed a couple available and then they were GTY for a couple weeks but now they are showing at least 7 rooms available in CAT 6. They are still showing a lot of availability for CAT 4 and 5 as well. They even have 2 sets of connecting staterooms available in CAT 5 which would be nice for us. Anyway it looks like there may be some upgrade at the port opportunities out there for those looking for a verandah (unless
DCL goes crazy with the TA/CM discounts in the next 7 days to fill the ship).
Dave
Hmmmm, thanks for the info Dave. Does anyone know how much a Cat 4 is really worth over a Cat 6? We are going to inquire about upgrades but I am not sure how "much" is worth it for a Cat 4. We have our limits for a Cat 3 but not for Cat 4....
Amanda's right...I have super thick hair and it's always a challenge to try to figure out what to do with it. Any assistance I can get would be awesome. I thought about french braiding while wet and keeping it in during the day and then taking it out that night. That way there will be nice curls in it.
Alison, I love the french braid look BUT I think I look a ton better with my hair down. Unfortunately it is so hot in the sun that I will probably have it up in my standard ponytail for our meet in Epcot -- yes, I will be the 38 year old with a ponytail

.
Ok, I WILL get some work done today -- I know I will!!!
(who am I fooling?)
