Ok Princess JorDan. Now how on earth is it possible for you to be PACKED so far in advance? I am still wearing half of the clothes we are taking and still need to buy the other half! I am totally and completely amazed and impressed by you :worship: (and a little bit scared). Can you come help me please? ;)QUOTE]

I am the same way. I wear half of what I want ot pack. DH needs to see what he gots.

I like cruise critic. Lots of good comments on the port forums. If we go to Nassau, we are thinking of doing Frommers walking tour http://www.frommers.com/destinations/newprovidence/0251010008.html
It has always interested me. I have read to take a taxi to the farthest point and than walk back.
DS called from college. He thought he broke his ankle playing basketball. It turns out a bad sprain. He sent a picture. It's really ugly. Have a good evening. Mine is going to be a long one. I am the manager working Food for Finals. College students like it though. It is the last week.:yay:

My son play's football. No sprains,no brakes knock on wood. He tries out for basketball and jams the top joint in his pointer finger, :confused3leaving it slightly bent. I dont get it. I think basketball has become a little more dangerous than we all think..lol:)

Ladies - Should I bring stockings/pantyhose for my dresses? Will it just be too cool to go around without pantyhose in cocktail dresses? I am wearing open toed dress shoes and typically never wear stockings with open toeshoes, but if my legs are going to be freezing:eek:

What will you be doing? My dresses are not maxi but cocktail length.

I am truely amazed by all the pre-packers. I am trying really hard not to "overpack", but I belong to overpacker anonymous and have not yet been reformed to learn how pack for multi layer for me or DD7.

Thanks,
Laura

I am not going to wear pantyhose with any of my dresses because I have open toed shoes and I really dont like pantyhose..lol:) There are pantyhose out there with the toes cut out of them so you can wear pantyhose with open toes I think spanks makes a pair. I am sure there are other brands that make them that arent so pricey.:thumbsup2

Hello Neighbor:). Are you guys doing door magnets? I had planned on it but I'm not sure since we are at the end of the hallway.

Ali, Mom, & I plan to work on them this Saturday after our pedi's, so we should have a few on our end. Three of our staterooms are at the end of the hall. :cool1:

PS. I just remembered a tip I heard about packing a zip tie to secure your fe & make sure it doesn't grow legs and walk off:rolleyes1
Also, make sure to pack clippers to cut your zip tie at the end of the trip!

We just booked a room at the Radisson Resort at the Port. We will get there on friday the 15th and check things out in cape canaveral. Does anyone know how early you can board the ship on saturday? We are looking so forward to this vacation. Kids are very excited.

I'm not doing door magnets unless Amanda has been doing them. Amanda and Mom (Carole Ann) have been coordinating the FE's and the gifts, etc. so I'm not really sure what the plan is.

My bad...should have read to the end of the postings before I replied. Amanda, we can work on them at your house after the peds and let the boys play games or something.

If you haven't already done so you will have to call and put your name on the list for the shuttle. There are a lot of us already on the first shuttle that leaves at 10 am. From what I've read on these boards, you can usually board the ship around 11:45 to 12. Some of you previous cruisers, correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't know there would be a waiting list to get from the hotel to the port. Must be alot of people staying there before they cruise.

I know we already have quite a few people filling up the first shuttle at 10 AM. I know we had a head count at one time, but I can't remember how many it was (I've heard the bus holds 30, and we were at least 20+ at one time). I'd suggest calling ASAP to try and get on it if there's still room (you're 4 people, right?). Otherwise, I think the next shuttle leaves at 10:30, which is still plenty of time to get to the port, check in, take pix with characters, get the pager for the kids' clubs, check out the ship from the deck at the terminal, etc. Last time, we actually started boarding ~11:45. That time goes really fast because there's so many other things to do. :yay::yay::yay::yay:

BTW, Rich, there are some people planning a "meet by the pool" on Friday night at 9 PM at the Radisson, so maybe think about joining the group to get acquainted before the cruise actually starts! And we'll be thinking of the group that's meeting at Epcot that night, too! :grouphug:

Thanks for the heads up. Just called and the earliest they had available was 11:00.

That sounds great. Will try to be there by 9 with drink in hand.

SIGN ME UP FOR THE TEQUILA TASTING SOUNDS GOOD TO ME SO MUCH TO DO SO LITTLE TIME

OH. one more thingGO PENS

Val, just curious... what transportation are you using from airport to hotel?
The Radison recommended Busy Traveler Transport. $25.00 per person.

princessljw - Does arriving at MCO at 12:55pm on departure day give you enough time to get to the Ship and board?

Everyone on the hose discussion - Thanks. I just started wondering when I saw posts of family picutres for formals and little girls had on stockings (could not tell from the Women). But then again maybe in the Winter or a Christmas time it is more fitting to wear stockings. Mati - The only time I tried Spanks is when I had pants that I just needed to get things smooth. Unfortunately they were the short Spanks and they caused rolls at the thighs.

I just checked and still no room assignment. Tomorrow morning I am calling, if there is nothing after tonight. I hate not knowing, but I guess it is all part of the adventure for booking late.

BTW.. there is another thread post on getting DCL transportation from the Hyatt. I still am a bit confussed, but hopefully the staff at they Hyatt will give us the right information.

lucky1 everyone we talked to about it says yes but not a lot of time to do any thing when we get there: check in walk around a bit then head up for the muster drill...:sad2::sad2:
US air tells us there are quite a few cruisers on our flight so" we are all in the same boat so to speak" her words not mine:rotfl2:
