how hard do you think it would be to send postcards to my kids from each port? I know how it works at CC, but wondering about the other ports how hard it is going to be to get the postcards, the postage and get them mailed. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi!
On the Panama Canal Cruise in January, they sold the correct postage in the gift shops and then you took the card to Guest Services by a certain time and they would put it in the mail for you.

Don't know if that was a special service for Panama or not.

See you real soon!!!! :cool1: ( But SOOOOO MUCH TO GET DONE FIRST!!!! I just finished making my to do list for home and work. :dance3: Oh MY!!! )

Looks like we have 13 cabins so far all between deck 2 and 7 no biggies :(

anyone else want to tour cabins and/ or offer their cabins please fill out the cabin tour tab on the spreadsheet.

I'm Thinking 10:00 AM on the 19th should fit between breakfast and late lunch

a few days in should know the good and bad of room / location

Let me know thoughts of date / time

IS IT TIME TO GO YET

Hi!

It seems to me like a lot of DCL activities are scheduled around 10:00 on sea days. The Art of Entertaining series is usually held around 10:00 and DVC and CASTAWAY gatherings are usually held in the morning. Of course there is no perfect time to schedule something, but how about after lunch, maybe 2 or 3:00. That should still work around brunch or tea times at PALO.

You mentioned we don't have any "room biggies." Would it be too pushy to check the roll call cabin numbers for types of rooms we don't have and PM them to see if maybe they would include their room on a tour?

THANKS for organizing this for us!

Barb :thumbsup2

when my 7 yr old & I were on our South America/Antarctica Cruise earlier this year- part of his independent study assignment was he to mail a postcard from each port we visited.

Some ports were easy & had gift shops with postcards abundant and other cities were a challenge. One place we stopped - Punta Arenas, the gift shop had postcards but ran out of stamps- the post office was 30 minute walking away & we were to be onboard the ship in 10min- I asked the gal if I could pay her for the postage & she just send it next week whenever they got more stamps-- she looked confused for a bit, but then said Yes-- I guess that will work. :)

Also-- I paid anywhere from $1.50 US to $4.50 for each of the postcards-- quite the expensive homework assignment....... :scared1:

so far we have
hrhdhd-- 1 town
singlis-- 2 town & ship
tammyalphabet-- 3 town
fourbryants-- 4 ?
SailingTime-- 3 town or ship
skoi-- 2 town
tamsocal-- 6 marina
.

For anyone who already knows they would like to modify the tour. delete some stops, lengthen others- please PM me or post here that info- so I can make sure we organize the vans accordingly.
some have commented no preference, others have not commented and
the only request I have had so far is for tunnels & caves to be a bit longer and shorten up some of the viewpoint stops if possible- which should be easily manageable

I have also had a request to add on an hour for a few people- I have emaild him to check cost- he has already said they would be happy to extend it for more $$- I just never asked him how much

That would be slick! Lists, ummm I better get going on those too! Work is pretty much on schedule. Just been having too much fun with FEE gifts to worry about packing.

I think asking or letting them know about the tour via PM could be ok, If you could do it it would be great :)

I think 2 pm could work and might be better as rooms should be made too

ATTENTION: To help make it easier to find each other for dancing, drinks, karaoke, chatting each evening... for those interested, meet in the promenade lounge at 10pm each evening to join others.

This is a great idea.

Thanks for adding us to the trip tamsocal and thanks for organizing it. :thumbsup2

The meeting at 10 at the Promenade Lounge is a great idea as well.

I have edited the spreadsheet for the champagne pink ladies. The only date and time DCL has avail for us is May 26th (our last sea day) at 3pm please sign up AGAIN if interested. It's $20 pp and specify if you prefer wine or champagne tasting. We must have at least 20 interested to get this private event booked. If unable to do so, we will just create our own informal gathering since most of us will have already had our fair share of samplings throughout the week and most of us are bringing a fair amount of beverages onboard. Let me know your thoughts and please sign up on the spreadsheet on page 1 once again so I can let DCL know.

Thanks!

looked on DCL website & may EBTA is "not available"

Maybe more pixi dust falling they had :

Interior Oceanview Balcony Suite

$1,299 $1,389 $1,969 Call Now!

via orbits and the inventory is now pulled.

I'll take a Balcony :cool1:

I can hope right lol

I think they might do a upgrade to some and push low price cabins in last week b4 sailing
