May 14, 2011 - Eastbound TransAtlantic

How does the 16th sound for b-fast in our PJ's? Didn't want to wait until too long into the cruise since we'll be loosing an hour each day I figured the turnout for breakfast would decrease. This way it's a chance to get to know one another and for the kids to meet new friends before venturing off to the clubs. If it sounds good, I'll update the spreadsheet. I've also updated the spreadsheet events tab adding a column for cabin number as I will need this to reserve the champagne/wine tasting and we will also need it updated for the Secret Mickey too as well as other things.

Also, I think we've lost our organizer for "shots heard about the ship" several are interested. We pretty much just need to set a sea day for our extravaganza and pick a meeting place and time. If we knew the night the kids club had the sleepover, that would probably be ideal! Even if you're not a drinker, feel free to join us and socialize!

Here, Here, to shots around the ship! :drinking1 Great idea to do it the night that the kids club has the sleepover!

Also, we're fine with breakfast in PJ's on the 16th.

I worked for Canadian many moons ago as well in MSP. LOL! Small world, always getting smaller. :rotfl:

Cool !!! I loved my job and the gang was great. I miss that job ! But then, I was single and living at my parents, so I took advantage of the deals we had ! Now with a husband and a daughter, I would not be able to to it ! It was fun while it lasted ! But I doubt that we could get those same deals today ;)

LOL, love your reasoning! We are still discussing this but the date works for us. :lmao:

Me too, I have recently got back into touch with some of my friends from "up north" thanks to Facebook. So many good memories of that period in my life, oh so long ago.

that's what i figured for my friends who don't drink much at all, that they could still come and have a great time with us!

Unfortunately, we are leaving on the 14 and coming strait back on the 28th from Barcelona. But it will be great to get away from the everyday life (well except for missing my daughter :sad2: )

We probably don't live to far apart. We are in Huntingdon, near Valleyfield and we go at Fairview to shop quite often :lovestruc It will be nice to have a few canadians on the trip !

I take it with your name that you are french and that your husband is english just like us !

Looking foward to meet you on the ship,:flower3:

I live a few minutes away from Fairview! So funny. The only thing I know about Huntingdon is your Maire who is often in the news and that it's close to Park Safari! ;)

You are right on the French, English thing! :) My daughter speaks great Frenglish...I hope they understand her in the kids club!

Looking forward to meeting you too!

Glad I booked the parasailing because it's all booked up! I have been wanting to do it for years but it's never worked out so this time I really want to do it!

Can someone tell me where I can get info on the fish extenders? I have looked around this site but there are too many mentions of them...still no clue what they are!

:cool1:We finally got our flight info from DCL today.:cool1: It is nice to have this info. I already went online and checked our seat assignments. I also changed a few too!;)

Well hi everyone!! I know my husband and myself were planning to do the shots around the ship. Since I have no kids attending I won't know when the sleepover would be? Does anyone know if we are able to get the cruise director to add the date to the daily sheets we receive so we could see it then? I would however thing a date during all our sea days would work best, preferably maybe like 10 in the evening as the starting point (to be sure we have a good time for the late diners?

Still waiting on my FE to arrive that I ordered online, as I am not crafty enough to make my own.

As for the shore excursions we also chose the Mtn Villages, we are doing the Gothic City walk in Barcelona, Gibraltor tour on our own (through Disney) and I can't think of what the other one was.

Maybe we can somehow find out when the sleepover is ahead of time...I'll try. If not, could we possibly post it on the common dry erase board that someone was going to keep on their door? I wouldn't mind putting it on mine but I'm a gty room and still don't have a room assignment. That way everyone interested in the "shots heard about the ship" could check that board on day 1 or 2 and we should know by then when the sleepover is. 10:00pm sounds like a great time as we have late seating also.

The sleepover will be shown on the navigator that everyone gets. Not sure if there will be any advance warning of it but you should at least see it the night before. :)

I can definately watch the Navigators, but how would we know which bar is the starting bar? That was why I figured if we could manage to get the cruise director or whoever to put the date and time and starting point in the Navigator would be really helpful.

I also like the board idea, however I wouldn't know who would be keeping that. Does sound like a nice idea.

We are also from Canada. I noticed on the flight page, we are taking the same flight back home as Singlis.

Just got back from travel agent added on a 5 day stay at disney pre cruise. I've been really busy lately with wedding planning. We are really looking forward to relaxing on the cruise.

I don't know if they'll put private group activities on the Daily Navigator. However, we could easilly decide now where to start, and then just move on from there! :rotfl: My recommendation would be to start at the top of the ship and work our way down. :drinking1: That way if we fall down the stairs, we're at least going the right direction! :lmao::crutches:
