May 14, 2011 - Eastbound TransAtlantic

Hey guys,

for you Disney fanatics, I have a question for you,
I had originally purchased cruiseline transfers to the ship but have since decided that I want to go to Hogsmead, so I will be cancelling them.
Do you know what the best way to get to the port from Universal?
I am wondering if there are any shuttles that leave from the strip without having to go back to the airport or is Taxi the way to go!

another question, I have started my FE shopping, am I only to give 1 gift per cabin/person not several gifts over the course of the cruise?

Our FE is almost done, not conventional at all but very "Canadian"!!!

LANYARD INFORMATION: We have had enough donations at the $25 (but are willing to take more to make the cost per person even less!) Thank you to all the donors!

Now what do you need to do to make sure you get a lanyard? Make sure you are on the ROLL CALL sheet! This is what we will be using to know how many each cabin needs and how to sort them out to make pick up easier. So please go and make sure you are on the ROll Call and all your names are spelled correctly (and they are all there) Thanks in advance!

FINALLY a response for the Champagne ladies! Let me know your thoughts. I didn't know if people are willing to pay $20 or if we'll even get the minimum number to swing it.

Hello Heather.
We have received your request for a Private Champagne/Wine Tasting Event. Please note that we require the following:
Minimum 25 Guest
Maximum 50 Guest
Time/Location is based on ship scheduling and availability.
The Cost is $20.00pp
DCL requires the guest names and stateroom numbers for those who will be attending no later than 1 week prior to sailing. There are no refunds inside of 1 week. The $20.00 will be charged onboard to the folio account of each guest.
Please note that request are reviewed 30 days prior to sailing and you will be notified no later than two weeks prior to sailing.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Best Wishes.

...

Sounds perfect! I didn't think a bottle of champagne I brought with me would ever make it to an event...lol

Maybe on the spreadsheet we should indicate we want to do this - a confirmation for the cost or something??

Because I am working on the lanyards I downloaded the spreadsheet to excel and am working with it. My first thing was to check to see who and who has not confirmed they are still cruising. Here is the list of unconfirmed:

Do you think we will get to see the premiere showing of Pirate of the Caribbean 4 - 3D while onboard?? It's showing nationwide on 5/20. pirate:pirate:

I have been on a couple cruises when a movie premiered. They have always shown the movie at 12:01AM the morning of the premier date.

Hey. I took the liberty of sending PM's to this list also. I hope that is okay!

The last Pirates movie released while we were on the 2007 Eastbound. They had a major "PremEAR" with a red carpet down the hallway between the gift shops, a "reporter" at the end of the hallway by the painting of Walt and interviewing those attending with the interviews showing on the screen in the theater. Movie started at midnight with a lot of hype before hand. There was a Pirates themed night on the cruise but I don't remember if it was that night or not. We'll all still have a great time leading up to the midnight showing.

Only 56 more days!!!:cool1:

I was wondering if anybody might be able to assist me with train classes on the Trenhotel. My daughter and I are traveling on the overnight train from Barcelona - Granada on May 29 and I am pretty certain I want to book the Cama Prefern class but not 100%. I want to ensure we have a cabin that is just the two of us. With just a sink is fine. My choices are

Butaca Super.
Cama Turista
Cama Preferen
Cama G. Clase

Also - the European airlines do weigh your carryon! Some even tag it at the gate to let the gate people know it passes. We learned to put ipods, camera's, etc. in our pockets for check in, then put back in at security. Check your airline's website and if they have a weight limit for carry on's be prepared!!! Our scale came in very handy! While other times we were not weighed in Europe, they can be very strict!

BLAAAAA cuz we are on KLM to AMS then Delta. :sad1:

those prices for shipping are WAY out of hand, thanks, i will cross that off my maybe list.

sarah I can't wait to see your Canadian FE, sounds neat!

You could check with one of the towncar services to see if they will do your US to the port. I personally love using ******.

Sorry to say, I don't have any info!!

We're looking at these too for a short train trip. I'll do a search for this....or have you already tried that? Are you in Granada for a while or do you transfer again?
