Packed our box last night and asked DH to ship it today. I was surprised how much I gathered to put in there, extra suntan lotion, sand toys, etc. It will surely save room in my suitcase, thanks for putting the tip on the board!

Hi Uncle Andy! I was in "Friday" mode when I typed that message...LOL....I serioiusly thought for a minute it was Friday. I lost an entire day yesterday because I went to the tanning salon on Tuesday, followed someone's advice on what lotion to use, and didn't do so well. I've been in bed since Tuesday night. I just go up this morning. My mom was here all day yesterday. I felt so bad. I'm still a little sore, but at least I can walk around. Well, on a brighter note.....We leave next week for our drive to the Radisson!!! We're packed and ready to go!! We keep telling the girls, but until they actually see it for themselves, I don't think they understand. I was reading the posts and it seems as though they'll be a lot of kids on our deck. That's awesome. I'm a little nervous about leaving Gabriella at the OC because she won't know anybody. But, it sounds like everyone is really friendly. Just some notes for others with children......our girls are 20 months and 3 yrs. We're in 6036 and 6038. Until Then.......

Captain Hook and Hooksenemy, I'm glad to hear there are fellow Disers on the Golden Eagle at the same time! DH and I will be with our DD. This got great reviews so I am really looking forward to this excursion. Should be a blast! I can't wait!!!

I hope you are feeling better today!!! Angelina wanted to go to a tanning salon the other day and I told her "no way" besides she already has a beautiful natural tan!!! All three of us here have been fighting a little bug, I'm just glad it paid a visit this week and not next week!!! All this pollen hasn't helped one little bit either.

Yep, just "7 days" until we head to Florida, and I for one, can't wait!!!

I've got to get back to work, talk to y'all later!!!

Hi Teri! My 4 year old DD is named Gabrielle! Short of the A at the end of yours that's pretty cool! Maybe she could play with your daughter, and then they won't be too lonely. My 4DD gets lonely and shy in her church class, but if there's a friend there then she's fine. Will you be at Grills Friday night? Hopefully they can meet then. We're staying at the Radisson too.

Yesterday I was at my mom's house and she's already packed too! Man I feel like I really need to get on the ball. I plan on doing laundry the next 2 days and then putting the things we're taking in a pile so the girls don't wear them to school and get them dirty again.

I bought this motion sickness med yesterday at Walmart. It's called Motion Eaze or something like that. It's a liquid of herbs and stuff and you just put it on the soft spot below your earlobe. Anyone tried this? I read on the other boards someone used it and it worked great. I just planned on using it for the girls since they can't take pills, but think I'll try it for myself as well. Oh and no drinking for me, we've been trying to get pregnant again for sometime, and I'm hoping this "romantic cruise" will do the trick!

Our paper chain is down to 6 days!

I read on another thread that the roads around the airport (path to the port too) have been closed at times recently and are expected to be closed on and off for the next couple of weeks due to brush fires, smoke and fog. I REALLY hope they are ok for all of us to get where we need to go on time!

Looks like we are going to have some awsome weather!

Andy, hope you and your family feel better soon. This is the first day in a week that I feel normal. That stomach virus DH and I had was nasty. I can't imagine getting sick like that onboard. But this means we will all be well and ready to by cruise time!

For those veterans: What is the timing between the show and dinner if you have late seating. On formal night, does everyone dress after the show or before?

TSirgey, I would say that you have approximately 45 minutes after the show until dinner. (give or take a little) On formal night most dress for the show but not all.

Ok, I'm having trouble concentrating today. Just knowing that I have exactly one week to finish packing has me nervous! We are having out of town guests this weekend, so there will not be much time. I am too tired after work to get much done. That leaves this Sunday!

The school nurse called the house shortly after my last post and said that Angelina was still feeling poorly. Hazel went and picked her up from school and made a doctor appointment for 2:15 this afternoon. Hazel had the stomach bug for a couple of days, but she is feeling better today. My problem is more with all this pollen blowing around, my eyes are itching and my nose won't stop running. I think I need to get out to sea, "real quick!!!"

I've been keeping tabs myself on the fire and fog situation, I think my mom knows some of the back roads that we will be able to take from her place down to the port area on Friday. I just hope I don't have any problems getting to her place Thursday evening.

This is the first time that we have early dining, but on our previous cruises we usually had about one hour to get ready for dinner after attending the early shows. On most nights, we just waited until after the shows were finished before going back to our cabin to get ready for dinner. I think we might have been in the minority though, we went to the shows in shorts and t-shirts, and the majority of the people were already dressed in their dinner attire.

My wife just spoke to Shirley from Perfect Gift & she told her that many roads are closed & getting to the port *MAY* require a different route than the B-Line/Beach Line.... Be prepaired everyone!!!!

Andy better to be getting sick now, than next week at this time!!!!

Hi. We're not sure if we're going to Grills. After the long drive to Florida, my husband may want to just hang out by the pool. We're playing it all by ear.

If we don't meet you there, I'm sure we'll either meet you at the Radisson.

Gabriella (Lella for short) will be excited to meet some friends. We were definitely going to put her in the Kid's Club Tuesday and Wednesday. We're not sure about any other days.

Catain H - we are travelling with 3 boys 2 are our DS's and 1 is our friends DS. In total our party consists of 5 kids

3 boys 7, 8 & 9 and 2 girls 8 & 10

This is our 5th cruise (2nd DCL) and the other families 1st cruise - we can't wait to get their reaction to all of it! I have tried my best to prepare them the best I could with some things leaving for them to be surprised.

I have to take Annalyse to the doctors also at 2:15pm (I'm getting ready to wake them up from their nap now). Annalyse has ringworm!!! It showed up two days ago. I don't know where it comes from, how it's contracted, etc. ??? All I know is it better be gone by next week. Funny story....

I'm all packed and ready to go, right. So, my dad says, "Did you get all your ID documents together?" I said, "Oh shoot! That's right. I totally forgot!" Could you imagine, getting to the port and I don't have any birth certs, Id, or anything??????? I was so worried about packing everything else, I forgot about the most important thing.

Steve, that's exactly what I told Angelina!!! Hazel has Angelina at the docs as I type this.

I spoke with my mom at lunchtime and she is already working on a different route for us to take to the port if needed, my mom is pretty good finding the back roads of Central Florida.
