Okay, here's a run down of what we did today, Shelly...
We went up the Monongahela incline and walked around a bit. It was a beautiful day, no clouds, about 78-79 degrees. We looked at all the menus for lunch up at the top of Mt. Washington and most were just sandwiches, soups, you know, the usual. So DH says, well there is the Monterrey Bay...so we ate there.
I had fresh Salmon, MIL had fresh Chilean sea bass, as did Dh. My FIL had fresh Mahi. We also had a sampler appetizer that I could've eaten all by myself. The seafood is all flown in daily.
Have you ever been?? Coming from Charleston, Sc where I was raised, I've had the luxury of eating fresh seafood constantly. This food was unbelievable. I think the prices at night are extravegant, but lunch wasn't so bad. We all ate for under $150. FIL paid; I always call him "Daddy No Bucks" (instead of "Daddy Warbucks"), because he won't ever let us pay.
Then we went to Trader Joe's and then came home. We walked down to an empty 4 acres (we live in Fox Chapel...are you familiar with it?), and picked Forsythia (sp?) and Daffodils. My house is flooded with fresh cut flowers!!!!
Hope you all had a great day!
Jo
