Are you by Sesame place or closer to the poconos?

Me! Me!:wave2: I am! We live about an hour north of Sesame Place, and an hour south of the Poconos.

Are you thinking of going to Sesame Place? We were there when my youngest (he's going to be 8 in May) was 2. We didn't really like it. It's a weird place. Right smack dab in a city. It was crowded the day we went, and there were people cursing at their kids. It wasn't a great experience for us, and we never really had the desire to return. My DS loved Elmo though, and we have a precious picture of him sitting in between Elmo's legs (on the floor!). We have friends who buy season passes to Sesame Place every year and LOVE it. It just wasn't for us (I think we're spoiled by Disney! LOL)

Okay, here's a run down of what we did today, Shelly...

We went up the Monongahela incline and walked around a bit. It was a beautiful day, no clouds, about 78-79 degrees. We looked at all the menus for lunch up at the top of Mt. Washington and most were just sandwiches, soups, you know, the usual. So DH says, well there is the Monterrey Bay...so we ate there.

I had fresh Salmon, MIL had fresh Chilean sea bass, as did Dh. My FIL had fresh Mahi. We also had a sampler appetizer that I could've eaten all by myself. The seafood is all flown in daily.

Have you ever been?? Coming from Charleston, Sc where I was raised, I've had the luxury of eating fresh seafood constantly. This food was unbelievable. I think the prices at night are extravegant, but lunch wasn't so bad. We all ate for under $150. FIL paid; I always call him "Daddy No Bucks" (instead of "Daddy Warbucks"), because he won't ever let us pay.

Then we went to Trader Joe's and then came home. We walked down to an empty 4 acres (we live in Fox Chapel...are you familiar with it?), and picked Forsythia (sp?) and Daffodils. My house is flooded with fresh cut flowers!!!!

Hope you all had a great day!

That sounds like so much fun! My DS will be in Pittsburgh on May 4 and 5 with the middle school marching band. They'll be performing at Kenneywood I think, along with a few more places. They are supposed to be going on a dinner cruise too. I'll get more info at our upcoming band parent meeting. This will be his first trip like this, without us! (he's a 6th grader...) He's so excited!! I just hope he can keep track of his stuff (trumpet, uniform, hat, etc.) because if he loses that stuff, we're talking BIG bucks! :scared1:

Ok, NOW I'm going to bed! Nighty night!!

Hi Lake..it's only 7:15pm...just came inside...today was beautiful...so a little work in the yard and garden was in order.
JC

10:36 pm here.
I was a nice day here too, and I also spent some time pulling weeds out of the garden.
DH and I made the decision to take the house off the market today, so now we are planning on expanding the garden and are calling contractors about putting an addition on the house instead.
