Day 3: Tuesday May 15 - Magic Kingdom. Alarm was set for 6:00 so we could catch the bus around 7:00 for our breakfast at the Crystal Palace at 8:00. I wake and look at the clock and it is 6:40! :scared1: This was the same alarm that we used the day before and it worked just fine. :confused3 So I jump up and start freaking out!! But we somehow managed to get to the bus stop by 7:05 and got to MK in plenty of time. Breakfast was good, but service was slow. Took forever to get our bill and pay. Finally made it out of there at like 8:55. By then they had let the heard of people in the gates. So we ran towards Fantasyland, which was roped off. So we stood there until they let us in. Rode Peter Pan, IASW, Snow White, and saw Philharmagic with no waiting. Headed to Tomorrowland. Rode Space Mtn and Buzz several times, no waiting! Saw Monsters Inc show with very little wait. Headed to Toontown. Rode barnstormer with no wait. Lines for characters were huge. Wait time said 15 min. but after we stood there for 30 min. and barely moved we decided to give it up! Hopped the train to Frontierland. Rode Big Thunder Mtn with very little wait. Went to Adventureland, rode Pirates with no wait, Fastpassed Jungle Cruise, went to the TikiRoom show, rode Aladin twice, no wait, went to Main Street IC Shop and had some delicious cookie swirl ice cream! Went back and rode Jungle Cruise with our FP. Then headed to main street to get a spot in front of Casey's for the 3:00 parade. Parade was awesome!! Then we headed slowly up main street, did a little shopping and left MK for the day and spent the evening at the resort. Tuesday was a GREAT day to go to MK!!!!!
We went back to MK Wednesday afternoon and stayed for Wishes that night, but more on that tomorrow.

Have a nice evening everyone!

I so could have bought a lot more artwork.....they had so many posters and prints that I really liked, but I figured I'll be back :).

Here is what I bought for me...a cute little Mickey Mouse Club lunch box ... that's all! DH bought a hat (surprise, surprise) that's all!
Sounds funny doesn't it...well after doing 8 years of Disneyana Conventions I finally said enough...I have boxes of Disney that I can't even put out because there is no room :sad2:

And if you have never heard of the Official Disneyana Conventions...they were Disney's way of getting 1000/2000 Disney fanatic together and sell them everything and anything (with the catch phrase Limited Edition) under the sun :rotfl2:
JC

Thank You  for sharing Memories by Sarah
Our GS was so thrilled....and the note Sarah attached to the basket was priceless...GS could not wait until he saw Mickey Mouse...All he keep say is I need to see MM and thank him for my basket....and HOW did he know this is just what I wanted...Star Wars...we brought back two different light sabers one from SW build a light saber and a Boba Fett helmet...
What did you DH thinks of his basket?
JC

He loved his basket. We also got the build it yourself light saber as well as a myriad of other Star Wars items including the Darth Vader helmet lava lamp -- only George Lucas would approve something like that :p And I suppose only my DH would buy something like that :)

I'm like that with my Nightmare Before Christmas stuff...I have way more than I could ever hope to display.

we got towel animals, but we kept running out of space to put them, as our window was fully decorated!

We are back! We had a blast!! I saw Huggie in AK we had just got off EE and DH was pulling me back into the line again, and there you were Huggie...I couldn't stop to say HI b/c of DH and you looked like you were looking for someone.

And I have to say....:sad2: We probably won't ever do POP again. We were on the side with the pools :scared1: Room # 5203 (which is preferred and we did pay for it :sad2: ) It was VERY loud.

AND NO TOWEL ANIMALS!!!! We tipped very good everyday! DH was upset about this b/c we were the only room pretty much on our floor that DIDN"T get animals. (I ended up making him one.)

We also had a family next to us who would cuss (of course we heard EVERY word) their kids out instead of talking to them like normal humans. I wanted to go over there and let the kids stay in our room! **The child was being cussed moslty for being on the bed!!???***

Good Morning Mayers!

Today is my ds's 12th Birthday! I went out to pick up donuts for his class. I broke down and got a lemon filled one for me. So much for getting back to healthy eating habits.

Oh, Friday night, we are taking 5 of his friends to see the POTC movie. It should be a blast! They are also sleeping over. I get a little nervous having so many kids (boys) over. They are a little wilder than just having 1 or 2. I am always afraid someone will get hurt. :scared1:

Souvies - Dd bought several Tink pins. She loves tink.

Ds bought several pins. Some were VMK, one was a 2007 pin.

DH bought nothing.

I bought a cute pair of Mickey earrings. I wore them the last few days we were there. I plan on giving them to dd when she takes out her earrings they used for piercing her ears.

Have a magical day! pixiedust:

We are very happy that we did not get the DP. The childrens choices were awful. More then once we saw a mother trying to get her kids to eat it. LOL Our kids would never have survived the choices. They ordered whatever they wanted. I hope they do something about the childrens menu soon. Until then we will happily pay for the food.

We never had to use fast passes either, DH rode all the top rides in epcot without more then a 10 minute wait. We will go again in May next year. We were laughing because the wait one of his rides was shorter then the fastpass line. LOL

Hey Sulley....

Do you know if they have the refillable mugs at SSR? And are they the blue generic ones that the other resorts seemed to have? I have friends leaving next week and are staying at SSR on a "Dreams Come True" trip (their daughter has a chronic physical condition) and I'd like to give them my mugs to use. They are financially strapped and I thought this would help them out a little! (I know, the "mug police" would love to bust me on that one! :rotfl: )

Thanks!
Marcy

My DS8 wasn't thrilled with the children's choices either. Breakfast was fine, but lunch and dinner were not great. We were lucky in that most places let us substitute stuff. Like he wanted fruit salad for the appetizer instead of what the choices were, and they let him have it. We did 3 buffets though, and that helped because he could choose what he wanted.

I forget which restaurants had the grilled fish with brown rice, but I was like "eew...I wouldn't even eat that!":scared1:

One thing that irritated me though, at the POP food court....we ate dinner there on our last day, and he wanted a hot dog. No hot dog on the kids menu. We were using 4 credits, but one of them had to be a kids credit. Grrrr....he wasn't happy, but settled for chicken nuggets.

Souvies - Dd bought several Tink pins. She loves tink.

me too!! i got loads of Tink pins!! my fave was a light up one! Followed by the Tink one with the bottle of pixiedust! :)

We display all our pins in a big cabinet mounted on the wall :) So we are big into buying pins! ::yes::

 Morning everyone  Hope you all had a good night!!

MELLA, welcome home! I did get your siggie on our door! it was cool!! ::yes::

If we had arrived at the same time I would have gladly switched you rooms :) Ours was sooo quiet we couldn't hear a thing! and my son had HUGE meltdowns at night, and my dad who was next door and another non-DIS friend we met on the other side of our room, didn't even hear a thing!! :earseek: we are very amazed at what the rooms hold in!! ::yes::
