Great story JC.

I have a few favorite Disney stories, but today I will share only one. One of my clients is an animator over at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. So I surprised my sons with a private tour of the animation division. They were totally blown away when I drove up to the front gate and gave them our names and we let in. My friend met us and took us around animation department and showed us how the put together a animated featured film. We saw various story boards, models and drawings of different projects they were working on. But the highlight of the day (it was a Saturday!) was when my friend introduced my boys to Andreas Deja. He is the guy who animated Mickey Mouse, Jafar, Hercules, Scar, etc. My oldest (he was 15 at the time) wanted to be animator and just loves to draw was so excited to meet someone who had inspired him to draw. Andreas was very cordial and spent about 15 minutes to speak with the boys and show them a few things. It was a day to remember for them and myself.

To say the least...I was the dad of the century that day.

Yes, I know of these events, they sound like a lot of fun. Glad you got to meet these men. Thomas, Davis and Kimball are gone. A special generation has passed on the baton. Thank goodness John Lasseter is once again apart of Walt Disney Studios. I expect new and exciting things from Disney in the future.

Afternoon!!

I am outside on the deck as we speak. It is so nice out. dd2 is taking a nap and dd1 is sitting next to me eating an ice cream bar from the ice cream man. Dh is doing yard work. What a nice day!!

Michelle- My box is packed I just have to double check it and tape it up. I am going to ship it probably next friday. I do ups from my job.

Seacrest- We usually take the girls out to eat they are pretty good. But I would love to do it more often.

Jo- Glad you had a nice time. Sorry about the cat calling. But I told you, you were a foxy mama. Sorry about the food poisioning. That stinks.



My girlfriend left for disney this morning. dd1 keeps asking me "mommy are we going to Disney" I keep telling her well maybe.


Off to help DH with the yard work he keeps looking over at me giving me the evil eye.

My backyard looks so nice. We weeded and pruned. Since we bought this house we never do things like that. We have been living here for 5 years. I cleaned all the kids outdoor toys so they can play outside. I am so proud of myself. I also dusted and vacuumed the housr inside. Now I am exhausted.


What's for dinner- I have homemade sauce with meatballs and sausage and pasta. YUMMY

Good evening Mayers!!

Just got back from the mall...did a little bit of shopping. I got the cutest pair of Mickey Mouse PJ pals for DS7 at the Disney Store. ADORABLE!! I also got him a pair of Incredibles sunglasses.

Finally found myself some shorts at JC Penney's, and started the travel-sized "stuff" shopping at Target. Phew! Busy Day!

Weather is till gorgeous here today! Lovin it! BUT....it's going to be cooler and rainy by weeks end again.

I'm off for now...

Oh, and Jo, sounds like a great party! So sorry you ended up sick in the a.m. though...poor thing! Hope you are feeling better soon!

My wife and I went out on a date last night and saw "Meet the Robinsons". We thought it was good movie, very fast pace, and you could get into the characters with no problem.

As far as the animation goes, it was good, not great like Incredibles or Nemo.

The movie was presented in 3D but I didn't think they took advantage of the technology more often. I would have enjoy the movie without the dorky glasses.

Go see it, you won't be disappointed. It has an awesome message that kids can understand.
