I will be lifting your Father up in prayer everyday and afterwards,that his surgery will be successful , that his recovery time will be brief and that God will guide the hands of the surgeons and nurses as they work on him. I will also be praying for the peace of God to fall down upon you and your family, that He may uphold you in this time of need.


I lost my precious Father to cancer 6 years ago, and the only thing that got me through it was the kindness of strangers and loved ones alike, girding me in prayer.

Prayer is powerful, indeed.

MAYers, i'm going to ask for your paryers and pixie dust, even though we don't know each other too well. My father is going in for heart surgery on wednesday. He will be off work from today all the way until we leave for vacation in hopes the if all goes well with the surgery he will be well enough to go with us. PLEASE pray for him and send good thoughts his way if you do that sort of thing on wednesday morning while you all are here or doing whatever you do that day. every little bit helps! thanks so much Ladies and Gents!!

Thank you soo much guys! i really appreciate it! he's so nervous and i'm so nervous and he's trying not to be nervous so i don't stress because of the baby, soooo we're all pretending not to be nervous He's like my next best friend after my husband and he's always been there for us and well he's just the greatest.

I will pray for him. I am into daily prayer.

My dad was about to have a heart attack 7 years ago. He took an aspirin, went to the ER, they took him to the cath lab, did a balloon and stint, and were able to keep the heart muscle from being damaged, therefore preventing a heart attack. It is amazing what they can do.

YES it is amazing and this happened to my dad 6 years ago, so i think that's why i'm even more nervous. We're taking him in at 7am and they will run all the tests to determine what type of surgery he will need and then they will take him into the OR asap.

Fathers with their little girls are amazing. I am an only child so all of my daddy's hopes and dreams rested firmly on me.

When we found out that he had cancer, it had already spread and we knew he was going to die. It was also the exact time that we found out that we were moving to NY.

I remember sitting at the airport getting ready to board the plane,holding Daddy's hand, not knowing if I'd ever see him alive again. And as fragile as he was, sitting there in the wheelchair, he was trying to be brave and strong for me, so that I would be okay to leave. And he said "It's okay, Bird. You will be fine." (My username is what he called me from the time I was tiny.)

A Father's strength sometimes surpasses all bounds of reason.


Here's praying for your Father's strength and recovery so that you can have a wonderful vacation together in May.
