Busy busy weekend here. Last night we had DH's company family picnic. Today we have T-ball, a B-day party, and friends coming over for dinner. I'm tired already!

Lake- You ready to be a 'Burgher for a few days? It ain't nuttin' like being a Carolina Girl.

Sea- OMG- that pic of you is so sweet and cute. I could totally pick you out of the line up. I wanted to tell you first thing this morning- we had dinner last night with some friends and they were telling us about a couple they knew that went on vacation to Fiji. When the couple came home from over there, the wife became deathly ill- horrific headaches, muscle weakness, blurred vision- (sounded like your uncle to me a bit-) and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her for months- blood test after test. Finally they discovered - get this- she had gotten a PARASITE in her bloodstream. I thought of you immediately and wanted to tell you. Just FYI for your uncle since he was on some trips. I know the docs are doing all they can to find the source of the problem- just wanted to share.


We are relaxing today- gearing up for the movers to make their landing in our home. Awww- Wednesday is our last night staying here. So sad.

Hey MAYers! Busy weekend here - we had a sleepover party last night with Bob's 2 little cousins that were in our wedding. Not a good diet weekend already we had pizza and wings and all kinda bad stuff last night.

Today we have my cousin Jessica's grad party (she was also in our wedding) and I am making buffalo chicken dip for it - UGH!!! Weekends are not the time for diets - I've decided

Hey AR - How are things in Alabama? We have stayed at Pop! twice and loved it. My kids are a little older than yours. My DS is actually bigger than I am, so we have been getting connecting rooms as we need space to sleep. We sleep so much better that way. My family doesn't want to stay anywhere else but Pop!

Hello NC42! Things in Alabama are HOT! We just got back from a trip to the Gulf Coast this past week and the heat is brutal. We did have a great time, though.

I think that getting connecting rooms at the POP for bigger kids sounds like a great idea. For our next trip, I think we'll be okay with just one. DS will be 12 and DD will be 9. Glad to hear that you all love the POP! I'm actually starting to look forward to staying there.

Supersonic fly by to say hello-

My "to-do" list today is as long as my arm.

The movers show their bright and shining faces tomorrow early morning.

But the best news of all for us is...

We scored 6 tickets for the Arkansas/Florida game on October 4th. Woo the freak hoo-----------!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited I can't stand myself. It's ALMOST as wonderful as going to WDW. I told Mark that he is dang lucky to have a wife that loves SEC football as much as him. Just part of being a Southern girl- I guess, LOL He was when I found the tickets.

Anyway- good news about your uncle Sea. Hope he continues to improve.

RF- good luck, honey. Mark and I were talking this morning about our money situation when we first got married. We got pregnant 5 months after we got married and it was rough, to say the least. There were many many times after the baby was born that we had no money after paying bills and buying diapers (I got free formula-- my Mom worked for Pediatricians and their drug reps shipped cases and cases of it to me- I had to have one whole room just for all the formula I got- I was so blessed)- anyway- there were so many times that all of our groceries were bought on the credit card b/c we had nothing. When you first get married, it's tough at times, but when you look back on those years, you will look back fondly and remember the good times. Hang in there.

Know anyone or any organization that might want a big couch and a really nice boys bed with mattress--- it's a captain's bed with all the drawers and cubby holes up top------------?????

Goodwill doesn't pick up and the Salvation Army can't get here this week.

If you know of anyone who needs them- I'd be happy to give them away- but they'd have to come pick it up by Thursday. We don't have a truck to load it, so we can't deliver.

Good Morning!

The NewCrews are back. We got back yesterday afternoon. When we stepped out of the airport here, the temp was 104. The humidity was so bad, I could FEEL the air. Ugh. I could barely breathe and told my Dh I thought I was having an attack of some sort.

(Be ready Jo. It is hot. Maybe in will cool down by the end of the week, is that when you get here?)

We have decided we love Vegas in July. It is hot and very similar temperatures. It was actually a relief for us as the humidity was so low. We loved it. We walked the strip mid-day and didn't even break a sweat.

Very busy day. Lots to catch up on. School suppplies to buy, forms to fill out for school, grass to mow, the kids need haircuts, etc.

Will post about our trip later this week or next week maybe.

Oh we switched the date of our trip to WDW with the family.... it is now Jan3 - 10th which is better cause it's low season so i'm crossing my fingers that it's not too crowded. And my parents are talking about having another HUGE family vacation like this again in Dec they want to go up to vermont to go skiing... they have a timeshare there too.....

Hey All...hope you all had a nice weekend. Drop by DL for a couple of hours yesterday and tried to set a new score on Buzz and did...broke over a million!

Amazingly, the neither parks were busy yesterday. Quite a few rides were walk-ons, POTC, HM, and Star Tours. Others had 5-15 minute waits. Very strange for summer time.
