Good morning, Mayers...thanks for the pixie dust, Jo, just what we need for this Friday the 13th

We are going to the ocean this weekend -- Fort Bragg and Mendocino. I am managing to skate out of work 3 hours early today -- good thing because it is a little over a 4 hour drive, and the last 30 miles are windy, twisty mountain road It's through a beautiful coastal redwood forest, but I don't like driving on it in the daytime, and sure wouldn't want to be doing it in the dark! But we love Mendo...should be a lovely weekend. Supposed to be high 90's to over 100 here in the valley, but the highs will be in the 70's on the coast

Good morning all!

Well it is going to be up in the 80's starting today and through next week here in LA. Summer has arrived to Cali!

Helping my MIL with her carpet cleaning appointment tomorrow. Going to the beach on Sunday morning to surf with some friends. Might go to my parents for a BBQ later on that day. Hopefully, it will be semi-relaxing weekend.

KB - Have fun in Mendoncino and Fort Bragg. When I was a kid, our family rode the "skunk train". Is that still up there? Yes, I am still planning a trip to FL in October. I have a speaking engagement set for the weekend of the 24th.

hey everyone!

it's been pretty stressful around here, it seems like everything is just getting worse and i don't know how to deal with any of it - so i haven't really had time to post in a while

it wasn't as hard to catch up this time though - i think i only missed like 5 pages or something

mari - congrats on finishing your tr - i didn't finish reading yet, but i'm close and i am sorry to hear about your friends son ... but, relieved that they know who it was...

shelly - looks like a fun trip - i copied the info for the one with the boat tour and we may make a weekend trip and visit there sometime this summer

jo - hang in there - i hope you hear something soon so you don't fry your nerves

sea - i promise i will soon be less of a failure with my tr.... i'll probably keep you guys entertained slowly but surely (maybe even until all of our next visits )

I JUST got my pictures from my photographer - and even though he was a bum - most of them turned out pretty cute (he's just lucky that i am photogenic...)

I'll post them as soon as I can - as well as update my tr with photos hopefully soon!!!

Morning all...... crazy day today... once i get out of work i have to run to Costco to buy the hamburgers and stuff for my DD bday party tommorow and then run to party city to buy more stuff because my DH surprised me last night with the whole oh by the way i invited 6 more families to the party.... AAHHHHH i want to kill him.....

So DH called a very close friend of ours that has the inside scoop on the job situation. He was told that he has "cheerleaders" in high places pushing for DH to get the job. But it is down to being him against an external candidate, which we never saw coming- we thought since it wasn't even posted, that it would just be a internal moving of people, like a restructuring. So we think that it must be a friend of the hiring mgr's that he's up against.
Anyway- we should know something by Wed. I am waiting patiently, LOL.

Hello all!

Just checking in from State College.

We just hung out at the hotel Friday & swam and then visited the State College area a little. Went to the Nittany Mall and drove over to the Penn State main campus.

Today we drove down to Hershey. Very fun, as always! We will probably go to Penn's Cave tomorrow.

NC- we were going thru security check and a cm stopped us and asked us a few questions. He told us to meet him at city hall at 2:30 pm. We met him at CH and he gave us a certificate for special seating for tonites fantasmic showing and some pins too!

We are now in line at toy story - soft open today. Nice weather today too!
