So yesterday we went down to DL with our friend, Jessica. We got to the park around 2:30 pm and headed over to Innoventions. There we found another VMK friend, who had been playing at the VMK kiosks all day long! There is a big quest going on and VMK was crashing people out because there were too many people online trying to finish the quest. After we finished there, we got our FP's for Space Mountain...8:05 p.m.. The FP machine also gave us anytime tickets for HISTA, so since we were right there, we decided to go on that. I hadn't been to the show in about 5 years...it was pretty fun, we had a good laugh, but the show is aged. We need something new here!
Desiring some chocolate, we left DL and went over to DCA and got ice cream sundaes at Burrr-bank Ice Cream. Yummy stuff! The new Pixar Play Parade path is right in front of the ice cream store, so we hung out for the parade. Very neat, they squirt water and bubbles at you. I got video of that and will post it up tonight. After the parade, we ran over to Hyperion theater to see the Aladdin show, since Jessica had not seen it before. I took some video of that too and will post a few highlights of it.
Jessica wanted her sample tortilla and sour dough bread, so we went over to the Mission and Boudin attractions and got our freebies. After that, we went over to the pin store and Chris got a bunch of pins for his collection and Jessica broke down and bought her first pins. She is now addicted to Disney pins.
Our SM ride time was coming up so we headed back over to DL and did the ride. I wanted to see Fantasmic! since they had changed the ending slightly and install some new lighting systems. WOW! You can tell the difference, everything is so sharp now. We had a good location, we stood on the bridge that goes over the POTC entrance - you face directly center of the "stage".
Now we were hungry, but didn't want to eat at the park, so after F! we headed out to the trams, the fireworks show was going on as we were leaving the park. Kind of a nice way to end our evening. Stop by the candy store and got our chocolate caramel marshmellows (poop on a stick!!) and at the tram area we got some fresh made kettle corn. We beat the crowds to the parking structure!
Stop for burgers at INO and got home around 11:15. Even though we only rode one ride, we did have a great time seeing the shows and the new parade.
