Shelly - What did you buy at the Character Warehouse. Show us some pics!

Seacrest

Hey Sea! I didn't get a whole lot. Let's see. . . I got DS8 a Star Wars figures set with a nice carrying case. They had a bunch of sets, but only one had Yoda in it. He will be thrilled. We've been looking for Yoda for quite some time! I got 4 popcorn buckets with different Disney characters on them - .89 cents each!! :cool1: Two Disney pins, one Jungle Cruise, the other Pirates. A Mickey-head shaped pink sequined picture frame - $2.50! A DL picture frame - $2.50. A Lanyard/Water bottle holder with the 50 year celebration logo - $1.99.
I think that's it. Most of the stuff has DL. Especially the clothing. They had a very nice big snowglobe with the castle inside for only $25 but it was DL also. They were adding stuff when we were there. I'm sure we will go back again!

Boys things are so hard to find! Drew is at that really awkward stage where he still like everything, but doesn't necessarily want to wear te shirts, play with the toys...
I just don't know what to do for him, as far as TinkerBelle gifts. I have a whole closet full of stuff for Belle. And Mary Cat, i bought her t-shirts and such (And myself too- we'll match!) we wear the same size, so everything I got for her, I bought the same thing for myself- I am hopeless.

Jo

I know, I have an 8 (nearly 9) year old just like that! Some things are cool, but others he would not be seen in. The only toys he plays with anymore are Star Wars. Oh my, my little boy is growing up!

i will excuse myself now from the thread for not being as excited anymore. Yesterday I went to my OBGYN for more tests. I went about 3 weeks ago and i was told to come back in. Well my DR told me that my cervix is showing signs of abnormality and that it could lead to Cervical Cancer. Then he went and did a Colposcopy and noticed 3 areas of concern and did a Biopsy (that hurt so much to me atleast) and i should have the results in 2 weeks. Now i'm worried....... I'll be like this until I get the results... he really scared me guys.....

    I am praying for you. I am sure you will be fine. Think good thoughts.

Hey JO! Not sure what's up with this weather. Quite a change from yesterday though. Of course it has to get cold again, we have soccer tomorrow night! :rotfl:

Have fun with your schedule JO!! :woohoo: I love doing that!!

Yes, the boys were very happy with their report cards! :goodvibes So was I! Poor DS8, he was trying so hard for all A's. This was the last report card before Disney. I told him he'd get a huge bonus for all A's. He got 7 A's and 2 B's!

Oh I wanted to ask you guys, what is the average price for the Disney pins??? The Disney warehouse has them for $4.49, $6.49, and $8.49. I had no clue what a good price for them was. . . The boys are doing the lanyard & pin thing this year and they each had one pin. So I got them each one more yesterday. I paid $6.49 each.

And how do you keep them from falling off your lanyard at the parks??? It just seems like the backs could fall off so easily.

Well i know in WDW they sell different backs to them and they will not fall off. I got them last year for my DD. Maybe when you guys get to the park you can buy them that so they won't lose them. Well in WDW i think the pins ran from like 5.95 to 12. I know in our DS they are like 6 dollars each depending on the size and such. We are actually going to buy DD more pins this year for WDW....

Thank you.

Oh yeah I took out my luggage yesterday time to start putting the summer clothes in it.... that must mean it's almost time to go....

My meaningless chatter for today. . . . .

I have a sunburn! Yes, can you believe it??? DH got me a 10 tanning session package for Valentine's Day. I haven't been to the tanning bed in about 2-3 years. So I went one day last week. Only went in for about 8 minutes. Didn't notice anything. So I went yesterday and went in for 15 minutes. Now I have a slight burn! :scared1: Not very smart!

The kids got their report cards yesterday! Another great report for both of them!! :goodvibes I can't believe the school year is 3/4 over!

Oh yeah, and take a look at my ticker:

:yay: 1 MONTH ~ 1 WEEK ~ 1 DAY!!! :yay:

Great job to your boys. Ouch on the sunburn. I am going to start tanning soon.

I dont know much about pins.

Guess I didn't get a real great deal on the pins then! :confused3 Oh well! I will have to look for the different backs at WDW. Any idea where?

Oh yeah I took out my luggage yesterday time to start putting the summer clothes in it.... that must mean it's almost time to go....

I STARTED PACKING YESTERDAY!!!!! :yay: I couldn't wait any longer. But now all the luggage is taking up all the space in my walk in closet. :rotfl:

I don't know if you have noticed that there are pin kiosks all over the parks I picked up one set at the kiosk and then the other ones in the pin store i want to say in MK by frontier land.... They weren't that expensive and my DD didn't drop 1 pin... before i bought them she dropped 1 just walking about the park.

Nope, I've never noticed the pin kiosks! But then again I was not looking for them. I do remember one place at DTD, I think it was called Pin Traders or something like that. I only remember seeing that because we spend so much time at DTD!!!

Hey Mari - I am sorry to hear about all that you are going through. Our family will be praying for a positive outcome.

:goodvibes morning guys... :goodvibes

mari i am really sorry to hear about your scare, on the plus side if it does end up being something they CAUGHT it which is what is most important. i wish i could know you in "real life", but from what I can tell just from this board you are a strong lady and you will fight through anything that gets thrown your way. Also, I have a friend of mine who had a similar "scare' from her OBGYN about a year ago and her tests revealed nothing, it was an abnormality that had really no symptoms or consequenses... and she is doing just fine now

Shelly - The best thing to get to hold your pins in place are the "pin locks" or "pin saver" clutches. You can buy them online: http://www.pinsaver.com/

They do sell them at WDW at all the pin stores and kiosks. I think it costs about $7.00 for about 10 of them.

If your kids want to trade pins at WDW here is a less expensive and more fun way of doing it: Start searching ebay for a grab bags of low cost Disney pins. They can't be damage or scratched up that would make them untradeable. You going to use these pins to trade with Disney Castmembers. Everyday CM's get a lanyard full of pins. Most people don't know this, they are required accept a trade of a Disney pin for their Disney pin. You can get some really cool pins this way.

OH GOD i need to start losing the weight from my DD.... before i was preg. i actually lost about 40lbs then after my DD i gained all that plus some...

I didn't realize that until after we left... this year my DD has 10 pins and we are gonna start her on pin trading.... i think it's the coolest thing ever.... i want to but her some more before we go...
