May 12 Wonder Photos

I posted 175 photos (plus thumbnails of each) from the May 12 cruise. If you have a high-speed connection or an hour to waste, you can click the smaller photos in each gallery to view the larger ones. These were all digital and when shooting at a distance or inside I rarely used a flash, but it will at least give those who have not cruised DCL an idea of what to expect. Hi Mary! No, I haven't yet found out who sent all that stuff, but I'm not complaining! I didn't post <I>all</I> the pictures. I took several of Disneycruzin's pin collection on that last night when the ship was rolling, and several of the shots appear to be taken by a drunk (I didn't have even one that night!). I'll be sending the the pin pics to Brad and Jenn. If you notice some of the other pictures, my "sea legs" seem to be affecting the horizon! For anyone else who views the photos, the reason Serenity Bay and some other areas are not included is because I got them on a previous cruise.

Those are great photos! Even with a dial-up connection, the viewing was very fast, because your thumbnails were relatively so large. I could enjoy every photo without having to enlarge them.

You really did create a "Wonder"-ful site. I really did enjoy it! I thought you bought a replica of a Mickey Captains hat, but did you win the auction of Cpt Tom's actual hat? I guess you did.

No, I didn't <I>exactly</I> win the hat. I made a bid in the silent auction. Someone came along and right after me bid <I>twice</I> as much. I left it at that. But after midnight I received a call saying the high bidder did not show up by the deadline and did I want the hat at the price I bid. Of course I did! While we were on the phone, the man showed up and was totally irate. They said they'd call me back. So after 1 a.m. they tell me that management decided to let the man have the hat even though he did not abide by the rules and was verbally abusive to them. I said I wasn't going to pitch a fit like he did, but I thought they were setting a bad example by letting him have his way. They were discarding their own rules and allowing verbal abuse to get results. They said I was right, and they had another hat autographed by Capt. Tom just before docking back at Port Canaveral. I picked it up (for <I>half</I> what the "irate" man paid) just before leaving the ship.

It was so nice to meet you on our May 12th cruise. We had a great time and also enjoyed staying on for the May16th pin cruise. Doing back to back cruises was such a neat trip to do. We enjoyed looking at your photos, thanks again for taking the pics of us!! It was also neat that we were in the cabin right next door to you. Well I am glad to see that you won the Captain's Hat after all. Well again, it was a great cruise and it was nice to meet you.

Hey Brad and Jenn - Good to hear from you! I'll be sending you the URL for the pin pics after I post them. Should be by tomorrow. My father died last night so I'll be headed back to FL in a few days and want to finish things up here in ID first. Most of the pin pics turned out well, but the first two were a real blur. I never should have waited until the ship was rolling to the max to photograph your pins!

Thanks for sharing the hat story. You meet all kinds of people on the cruise (mostly nice), but sometimes??? . People think they can break the rules all the time. Even in an auction, which is full of rules. I'm glad you got the Captains hat in the end, though not the one in the auction.
