Oops! Seems the majority has spend time in the Orlando area ok previous trips. After the cruise we plan to stay in the area until Sunday and do Universal, Disney World or both. We've rented a condo near the Universal walk. My question is - Are there any "must-do" places we should target in our limited time? We'll have Thursday, Friday and Saturday free.

Checking in again... We Marylanders Joanne & Mike (GO Ravens!) will be on the trip, too. Our daughters are Natalie(9) and Renee(6) and would love to email some girls ahead of time. My 9 year old especially could use a buddy she corresponds with ahead of time so she feels comfortable at the Kids Club. The last cruise we took (which was Holland America), she wasn't into it at all

I'm thinking about this Fish Extender idea, but I really need to do some research to find out more!

We're also going to do a couple days in Orlando before and after the cruise... anyone else doing the Land and Sea thing?

I'm hoping someone can give me info as to what we're supposed to do! It sounds like such a fun idea! I imagine we're supposed to drop off gifts secretly, but are there any guidelines as far as how many gifts you should give out (meaning will I visit the same cabin multiple times or just each cabin once)?

As far as I've read everything will be set up by the group. It seems to depend on how many people sign up. It also varies by person on if you gift everyone in the room or just by family.

Calling all Fish Extenders!

I am so excited about getting started, but didn't see any one to organize it . . . SO, I am giving it a shot. I am new at this and the DIS boards, but am a veteran cruiser and Disney goer, DVC member etc . . .

If any one has pointers/comments/etc, just let me know. If any one more experienced wants to organize, let me know as well and I will gladly let you take over

The rules are simple: Sign up on the attached spreadsheet. Choose for yourself whether you will do 1 gift per cabin, 1 for adults and 1 for kids, or 1 for everyone. I would suggest little things like candy for all the kids even if doing one cabin gift so the anticipation of treats stays high . . . but it is totally up to you!
Sign up will end April 21 so that people can finalize plans.
There are many Fish Extender, Homemade Fish Extender ideas, FE DISigns available on the boards- just search . . .
DON'T let the amazing creativity of your fellow DISers discourage you from participating, however. It is truly the thought that counts, NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL, and dollar stores, oriental trading etc has lots of cute options without overwhelming you or breaking the bank. The more people who participate, the more fun it can be.

Reposting my FE sign up - please join!!
As a reminder, my crew is me (Audrey), DH- Steve, DS8-Elijah, DS6- Levi, DD3-Vivian ( celebrating her 4th birthday onboard), DM- debi "bibi" and DF- Sid "granddaddy" (first timers).
We are DVC members, and veteran disneygoers, this is our 4th cruise.

If you search FE on the boards you get lots of info and ideas. For our cruise, I was thinking that we would gift each cabin once (unless very few signed up). It is up to individual families (as above) whether they want to do 1 per cabin gifts,
1 for adults and 1 for kids gifts or individual gifts.
I would suggest participants browse the list to get ideas about favorite characters and special occasions. Once the list is closed I will contact each participant family and assign cabins/days

Looking forward to it! My kids would love to communicate with anyone looking to make friends in advance

We will be at Bay Lake Towers both on the 11th and celebrating Vivian's bday at BLT post cruise for 3 days, too
