We are in a GTY cabin. I understand some have their assignments and some do not. We don't have our cabin assignment yet - bummer!

Does anyone know how many days before the cruise Disney would wait to give you your assignment?

probably a dumb question, but for those that received their stateroom assigments (from GTY or VGT, etc) where did you find the information? when i log in to my reservation there is a spot right in the middle that says <<Inside Stateroom with Restrictions Category IGT, #GTY >> Is this where it would show up or should i be looking elsewhere?

Not a dumb question and yes, that's where you should look. Mine actually still says 8C, but the GTY changed to #9134, which is a 4A. Just keep an eye on it.

I've heard that they could wait until you get to the port, but I doubt they would. I would think that would be a problem for housekeeping.

Also, I've read several times on these boards that the longer you stay on GTY, the better chance you have of getting an upgrade. Fingers crossed!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY!! This is our first cruise and we are just happy to be there! However, the thought of an upgrade sounds wonderful! Now we just have to wait . . . but it's not long now!

Wow - I haven't been on the boards in a while, and it was really fun to read everyone's comments! It's shaping up to be a great cruise with really nice people aboard. We're bummed that we can't go to WDW a day or two before the cruise as many seem to be doing. We weren't sure of my daughter's final exam schedule, so we'll be on an early morning flight on Saturday.

Welcome aboard neighbors in 7600 - we're in 7602.

How fun!!! Great to already "know" our neighbors!!! Maybe the kids will even get to know each other in the Vibe?!!! It's going to be great!! We are getting SO excited!!

Good morning from sunny Atlanta, Georgia! I'm not sure which is the official list anymore, but I'm sure that by the end of the weekend sasmmb (Michelle) will have the final posted. Or mom of a little pirate; they seem to be a tag team on this one. BTW ladies, I would like to be in both FE groups. I've bought a few things for the kids and just now thought of something else to make for the adult ladies. Got a pretty good idea for the men, too.

Having a meet would be fun but there's nothing official decided yet. I've only cruised DCL once and I would be hesitant to suggest something, as I know most will be juggling kids. If anyone with kids has a suggestion for a convenient time that would be great. Celebrity and RCI let you organize onboard parties and rooms for this sort of thing. I believe Carnival does, too. Does anyone know if that is an option with DCL?

Can't wait for the sunshine of the southern part of the country! We had 2 70-80 day days last week and now it's freezing again!

Anyway, what are the chance of getting Palo (brunch or dinner) when getting on board and where specifically do we go?

No room assingmen from us either. Anxiously waiting

Magnets are done, finsihing up autograph books, all shirt transfers are printed now we just have to cut and iron them on.

Trying to decide best way to surpirse kids. They think we are going to my mom's condo in Sarasota. So we are leaving Friday night and staying at Hyatt. I think I just may do it Sat morning at the hotel. I will ahve them each open up a gift with their auto books and boarding shirts and I saw something online with a pix of a boat and all character and says's we are heading to Mickey's boat.

The list is on page 29. As the thread was getting longer several were having trouble figuring out how many were participating in the FE, so I created and FE only list, the roll call list of everyone is still on 8 though I will be splitting the group up and posting on Sunday Morning for the final counts so everyone knows who they are with and how many gifts they need. Not sure on the meet-up though.

So we didn't get pixie dust....or even our room assignment, but we did receive my oldest ds's passport in the mail today!
That's one last thing that I have to check on 50 times a day! It only took 2weeks for it to be processed. Maybe because it was a renewal? Anyway, happy for the USPS-dust

I noticed two of my kiddos are in great luck and there are other 3/4 year olds and even a couple of 12 year old girls! Woohoo!! It might be fun for the girls to get to exchange.

My DD has been keeping her eyes on these posts for any kids close in age so I know she'll be really excited. She keeps asking me what I'll be doing to keep myself occupied while she's at Edge.
