may 12, 2012 7 Night Western on the Fantasy

Currently at 24 cabins. I added that to the page 8 list as useful info. Once the list is closed I'll add the details of adult/kid breakout if you want.

I had a question if I was going to split into 2 lists to make it more manageable for people to bring gifts. Since this is only our 2nd Disney cruise, do any veterans have an idea how big the list usually gets before it is split? On our 1st cruise the FE list was 49 cabins, and wasn't split. But I don't know if that is normal or unusual.

On the last few Disney cruises we have been on, the list was split as we had about 40 cabins. Split into 2 groups of 20, one called the Mickey group and one was the Pluto group. If the list grows much more, I would consider splitting it or cutting it off at 25. If it grows, take the first 20 signed up and put them in the Mickey group and then the next group could be Pluto, Goofy, or whoever. We need to have a cut off date fairly soon for the people that are making gifts, they need to know how to plan and make their presents.

I agree with Apple Guy. I did notice that you counted one family twice (they are listed as unknown cabin and then again on deck 8 I think (unless they have two cabins one yet to be assigned). Either way, maybe we should check with those that are unknown or undecided on the FE to see if they have decided (I think there is 4). I am all for cutting it off at 25 or splitting into groups. If some one wants to participate in both groups I think that would be fine too.

How do you know what the dining rotation is? And do you just call to make the request?

I was looking at the menu and would like to have Royal Court more if possible. I loved the way their menu looked.

Yes, the easiest way is to call DCL request the dining rotation that has Royal court three times..... They'll tell you requests are not guaranteed but they will note it. (so far in 5 cruises my "requests" have been granted). Good luck! :goodvibes

Oh to clarify.... 7 night cruise/ 3 restaurants = one restaurant you will dine at 3 times.... :goodvibes

Our cruise in October had 28 staterooms participating and it was CRAZY! :eek: we were overflowing with gifts in the room... our door... our suitecases.... I also think splitting the group if it gets really big is a good idea. Don't get me wrong it was sooooo much fun :cool1: and our three year old was super excited with every thing we received... (he was the one taking things out the FE)

Hey everyone,

According to Dreams Unlimited the three dining rotations on the Fantasy look like this:

R = Royal Court
A = Animator's Palate
E = Enchanted Garden

R,A,E,R,A,A,E

A,E,R,A,E,E,R

E,R,A,E,R,R,A

So on each rotation you eat in one of the restaurants three times and you repeat on nights 5 and 6

Breakfast will be served on the final morning in the restaurant that you were scheduled to dine in on the last night

Hope this helps :goodvibes

Thank you for posting the rotations. I put in a call this morning for my request for Animators Plate as well :) Though it is not my favorite menu, we have late dining and I think being in Animators will help my little man sit through the lengthy dinner. I know there is dine and play which we will use the other nights, but I would love to have him stay for dinner a few nights. I have feeling it is going to be hard to drag him out of the kids club afterwards. Crossing my fingers Mickey grants my request!!

Oh and most of you probably already know but the dinning room you are in for 3 nights are also the formal, pirate, and semiformal nights if I am not mistaken.

My 4yo ds will be in Camp!! :) He cannot wait to play with the kids, as he puts it!

Care to share your shirt designs and magnet designs? i am hoping to convince dd17 to make some up for us!

Yes, I would be glad to post pixs if someone can tell me how? or if you want to e-mail me I can just send them to you. my e-mail mbaldinelli829@yahoo.com

so excited that there are so many boys for DS. DD7 already said she does not want to leave DS "alone" this is a surprise trip, she thinks we are going in Aug 2013 for my 40th....LOL! Once she sees all the boys she will def want to do the girly stuff.

Our 3.5 DS will be at the kids club too. It's his 3rd Disney Cruise. He usually goes about 2-3 hrs each day, depending on sea day or excursions... :thumbsup2

Awesome boys are going to love this!

Since you are a Veteran can you tell me the best times for kids club? This is only our 2nd cruise, last year we did Oasis of the Sea on RCL and DS was only 2 we did not do nursery and DD6 did camp only a few times. But I know they will be loving Disney camp.

This is so new to me we have done DisneyWorld for the past 6 years. So I planned out each day.

I know we will do play and dine a few nights excluding AP and pirate night.

But during the day, do you send them in AM, PM are there more activities around the ship in AM or PM for kids or families to do together?

We def want some adult time during day (few hours each morning???) but we defintely want to enjoy family time in the pools and doing activities as well.

One more question....How do you know which rotation you are of the 3 dining?

Sorry I was so longed winded, appreciate any feedback you can give:thumbsup2

I can't answer all your questions as this is our first Disney cruise, but I am pretty sure you don't find out your dining rotation until you get your "packet" from disney right before the cruise. Hopefully someone can confirm this or correct me ::confused3

Oh I would love to see too! Once mine are completed (by other kind souls) I will post mine too :)

To post you need to upload the photo to another site (facebook, blog, photobucket, etc). Then right click the image and select open image in a new window. This will give you the "address" of the image. Copy it. Then open this thread and at the top of your reply box is a little box with a mountain and moon (that is the picture box). Select it, and paste your image address into it :) Just be sure to delete the first http: that pops up before pasting it. Hope that helps and I did not confuse you completely.

Love your magnets, I have some of the same but 2012. i will put them all on my door tonight (I think my outside garage door is magnetic) and will take picture and attempt to post tmrw.

Just got off the phone with Disney and the advised that I would not know rotation until we board??? That is fine, no biggie I just love to know EVERYTHING beforehand.

I had called order the bedrails as I know DS will want to sleep on top bunk too. I read somewhere that someone requested them while on board and they will all out, so I called right away. I thought it was request but CM told me it was a guarantee.

The stressed out part right now is that fares are UP, not a biggie for us since we are flying again in Nov and SW will give us credit if is goes down, I just want to try and get best price for MIL since she never flies.

On the good side my MIL GTY room assignment has been assigned(I think that is what is called) we booked on a restricted rate her is the inside our a balcony. I think she is going to be disaapointed (well first ever cruise) she is Deck 2. But they did get her handicap accessible room, which is good since we are bringing fold up wheelchair for my Grandfather in law.

Now, hopefully our GTY VGT will be assigned soon.

That is exactly the same reason we chose AP three times! ;)

You won't know for sure your dining rotation until you board. The dining tickets along with your excursion tickets will show up in your stateroom.

The first day especially "open house" will be very very busy, don't let that scare you. It won't be nearly as busy any other time.

I know we will do play and dine a few nights excluding AP and pirate night.
When we had late dining, dine and play was awesome. DS would not sit through 1 1/2 hour dinner, 40 minutes top. So we would send him to the kids club if he got restless ie... wanting to climb under the table or get out of his seat...

But during the day, do you send them in AM, PM are there more activities around the ship in AM or PM for kids or families to do together?
IIt seemed there were more activities during the day time but they do activities all day long, and post them daily. DS is a huge Peter Pan fan so we look for activities like that... etc. We usually ended up sending him to the kids club for an hour or two to swim in the adult pool or the spa, then probably another hour or two if we wanted to see something after the show, (a club, or a drink or just a stroll) but most nights you are all pretty tired after the dinner and the show to do too much. :lmao:

We def want some adult time during day (few hours each morning???) but we defintely want to enjoy family time in the pools and doing activities as well.
If your kid/kids are like mine you'll spend a lot A LOT of time at the pool/water activities!

One more question....How do you know which rotation you are of the 3 dining? The day your board the ship.

Sorry I was so longed winded, appreciate any feedback you can
give:thumbsup2

Tips: Don't miss the pirate show/party/fireworks!! That is probably the only day on the ship I insist DS takes a nap. (he doesn't at home anymore) The party doesn't end until about 11:30. There is a huge, crazy food/dessert buffet after... So worth it to be awake for.
Christine:thumbsup2
