may 12, 2012 7 Night Western on the Fantasy

Welcome aboard! We don't have our cabin assignments yet, either. If you look at page 8 in this thread, there is a master list of all our group and who is participating in the FE. That might be a good place to start. I've been trying to keep a spreadsheet going so I can keep track of gifts to put together and if memory serves, there are a couple of teenage girls. No worries, I'm sure there will be plenty of teens for yours to hang out with. And their club looks as cool, if not cooler, than ours!

Thanks for the warm welcome!! I read thru all of page 8 and a bunch of pages thereafter... looks like a great group to be sailing with! :goodvibes

Count us in!!! Sooooo excited!
We just booked this today thanks to a great GT rate...
We are a family of five, two cabins... Mom, dad, dd17, ds15, ds4... I hope there are some other teens aboard!
This will be our second cruise, but first DCL...
No cabin assignment yet, not sure when that will happen, but I hope it's soon!
In addition to researching our ports and the ship herself (although DH and I had a sneak preview at the christening last week) I will be reading thru this thread to hopefully get acquainted with all of
you!

Hello there and welcome!
It must have been great to attend the christening; what did you think overall?
I enjoyed watching the webcams at NY and PC as she sailed in; the ship looks wonderful to me :)

I was absolutely overwhelmed with the beauty and grandeur of the ship... She is just magnificent... It was actually quite emotional for me (Disney geek I know!!)... There really is no way to describe it, but I will recommend that even as you are dragging luggage and kids and whatnot, take your time boarding, soak in every detail, its worth it!

Hi everyone!! I was just wondering if anyone on our cruise has children in the 6-10 year old age range that would be interested in becoming pen pals with my two DD in the weeks leading up to the cruise?? My DD (9) would really like to "meet" some of the kids who will also be sailing with us. I don't know if anyone does this or not...but thought it would be a fun way for the kids to get to know each other and to help pass the time waiting for May 12!! :)

Just let me know!!

Sarah

Anyone sailing on the Fantasy on May 12, 2012 that has a GTY gotton their room assignment yet? Also would just like to hear from some other guests sailing this cruise Cant wait 65 days and counting.:yay::banana:

Hello we I have just found this thread. this will be our first cruise ever. Corey (27) DW Laurett (26) DD Nevaeh (6) DS Noah (2). Laurett and I are so excited we are not telling our kids about it. We fly in the day before we cruise and are just going to let it be a surprise when we pull up to the airport as they have never flown and when we pull up to the port. We are booked in a 6B GTY has anyone else gotten there room assignment yet?

No GTY room# assigned for me yet. I am checking my reservation online everyday (okay, 5-6 times everyday). LOL

Booked a GTY on this cruise for a category 8C, and was assigned my room number the same day that I paid for the entire balance due. Paid balance on about the 25th of February I believe.

Still no room assignment here... But plenty of excitement!! I thought one of colleagues was going to run screaming from the office when he made the mistake of asking if I have ny vacations coming up, as I could just not shut up!! LOL

I am going to decline doing the FE for now... i might change my mind just before you do "last call" but i'm a little overwhelmed with other details (like which WDW resort to stay at prior to sailing), etc! LOL!

I have a 9A GTY for that cruise, and no assignment yet. I'm ok with it, it's building up the excitement even more :yay:

I upgraded from 9B to 8C but still don't have a stateroom assignment. That's okay, as long as I'm on the ship!! Are we there yet?....

We just booked on Monday, SO excited. We have never book any trip this close to sailing, especially a BIG trip.

It will be me (38) DH(39) DD(7.5) DS(3.5) Mom (65) MIL (72) and last but not least my Grandfather-in-law who is turning 97 on April 24th:cool1: He still lives alone and goes to the senior center 3-4x per week. AND my DH can not beat him in a round of pool :lmao:

Okay we don't have stateroom assignment yet but we are Guarenteed inside for inlaws and guarenteed balcony for us.

I don't think I want to committ to FE this trip, my friend did it for her Oct Dream cruise and looked really awesome, but between working full time and trying to do the things I want for the family this trip it will be tough.

We are a disney land based family I have been over 12-15x we have been as a family the past 6 years. We just got back from BLT in October. We are doing the Allure of the Sea RC in November.

I really hope kids love Oceaneers Club. When I spoke to CM they told me that at late dining they have a dine and play package, but I don't see that anywhere on these boards, but I am new so could be missing it.

Also, if you had to choose between Cozmel, Costa Maya and Grand Caymen to go to for just the beach which would you choose?

Can't wait to chat with everyone for the next 2 months.

:welcome: Missy! That is just so awesome about your Grandfather-in-law. May we all be as lucky.

I've recorded your info on page 8. Looking forward to meeting you all!

My younger sister LOVED the Oceaneer's Club when we sailed on the Dream last year - we barely saw her on the ship. For the dine and play just mention to your server that you would like to participate in it; the kids will get served quicker than the adults and will be brought up to the Club and Lab area by a staff member after about 45 minutes or so - it's really great for kids who just want to eat and go and let's us relax and enjoy the meal.

As for the beaches :goodvibes I heard great things about the seven mile beach in grand cayman - this is my first time going there, but i can't wait :flower3:
