I'm pretty sure the thought is that you just walk up and down the hallways and whenever you come across a fish extender you stick something in it. Somewhat easier then carrying around a list and figuring out which rooms are DISboarders I guess.

Okay, I just assumed other people on the cruise would have a fish extender not just our DISBoards, but that wouldn't be possible - thanks so much! But for the kids gifts, you still have to go room by room because some moms didn't make fish extenders and that wouldn't be fair to the kids - right or am I making this too much work?

sorry to barge in--but, i just watch your board for tips--i'm on the westbound transatlantic--heard you guys were looking for laundry tablets--they no longer make them in the united states--according to the maker there wasn't a big enough demand and they had some difficulty with dissolving and leaving residual powder on clothing--i personally loved them and still have a few left behind (i only use them for vacation). but, bed bath and beyond has a similar product that is indivually packaged gel packs for laundry--they run about $13 for 20--but don't forget your 20% off coupon (that makes it $10.39)! hope you guys have a blast and please keep us up to date as far as entertainment, show, etc so we can get our group as excited as you are!:thumbsup2

I personally was planning on the "wander aimlessly up and down halls looking for fish extenders" distribution concept but my dh (who is normally WAY less neurotic than I am) says he will distribute our surprise (what a great guy! he says he will do it early while I sleep!) and he wants numbers so he's sure to get everyone. Of course, he's a numbers kind of guy, and I so am not!

I think the moral of this is to make sure your stateroom number is on the list, whether you do it or once you are onboard, especially if you do not have a fish extender. Otherwise, people who want to give you something will be thwarted. (btw, shhh, but I know what Hoagie's surprise is! Cute!!! Sandi, if you can't give all of yours out, you can come visit us ;) We are kids at heart. Does that count?!).

:rotfl: i DIDN'T MAKE ONE SORRY... BUT I DON'T SEW THAT WELL.. BUT MY DOOR WILL BE DECORATED..

Boy, I am being neurotic today. For all Secret Mickey participants, please remember to double check once you're onboard to be sure the stateroom for your recipient hasn't changed.

Thanks so much!

Well, I never got around to making myself a fish extender either so we will be without one at this point. And we will be using the "look up the room number" method since we have a gift per person planned. So please let us know how many will be in each room if possible. If not, I'll be referring to the list and trying to guess based on names listed.

Only one more day of work for me. We fly to FL and check into AKL on Monday.

Cupcake - I could never forget about you. I have special plans for you!!!!

Oh, yeah, I am bringing a complete pharmacy with me too! I got stuff for almost anything! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I bought a few things a Wal-Mart yesterday. The Equate brand of motion sickness pills. (Better safe than sorry.) Tylenol PM and Melatonin for the long flight home and to help us get back on schedule. The kids have to be at school the next day. I assume DH will need to be somewhere. I'm the only one who can take a day (or two) to recover from jet lag. DH thinks I'm crazy; I could tell from the look on his face when I told him what I had bought.

Alright Kiddos.....HOME STRETCH!!! I'm in the double digits now....double digit HOURS!!! (30.5 before I board a plane in Rochester to be exact!!)

I get out of work in about 30 minutes---only working this morning so I can dedicate the rest of my day to packing and cleaning---and let the frenzy begin!!!

:tigger:
Erik

Have a safe journy Erik and Jason!

I saw someone mention taking a case of wine - does any one know what the wine list is like on board and do they offer any kind of wine with dinner programs?
Regards to all from Hong Kong!
Greg

"During dinner or at wine stations set up throughout the cruise, Guests can enhance their dining experience by ordering a dinner wine package. Choose between a Classic or Premium wine package and receive a bottle of wine with each evening meal.

7-Night Cruises & longer:
Classic = $179 + 15% gratuity Premium = $275 + 15% gratuity"

I thought I had a list of wine available, but I can't find it. Dh is very, very picky and I have to admit I'm a little picky myself. :rolleyes1 It is usually a $15 corkage fee to bring your own wine to dinner. It is worth it to us to do that. We are bringing some $50 bottles of wine with us and I don't even think we can get that kind on board. And yes, it is us who are bringing a case (and a half) of wine.

Makes Sense to me Ken, see you at the port!! I will be easy to recognize I will be the guy int he Taking the Magic to the Med shirt :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See you at the port on Saturday!!

Cheers!!

Pat

Well, if this is the case:

Thank you for submitting your passport application!

Your passport application locator number is 170369767.

We have finished processing your passport, and it has been mailed to you.

You paid for overnight delivery. This means you should receive your passport on or about 05/04/2007.

it looks like dd will get to go with us after all! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Please let it come tomorrow!

Lori

Been absent a few days...

Sorry to hear about the bunny. :sad1:

A week from today I'll be going over my list at work with my underlings and boss so they're all on the same page while I'm away and unreachable.:rolleyes1

A week from tomorrow Mike and I are on our way to Palm Beach - his parents will drive us to the ship and we'll get a nice short over night visit in with them. :yay:

Mike came home from Guadalajara with a cold - which I now have...so I'm hoping to shake it by next week.....been home from work so I don't pass it along there. His is much better now, so maybe in a week, if I'm good and keep taking my vitamins and chicken soup, I'll be OK.

Packing starts tonight with the bringing of the suitcases upstairs into the guest room - which will cause all 4 dogs to be crazy for the next week...every time they see me put something in them. They're not the brightest animals, but they know that packing a suitcase means Candy the house sitter is coming soon, but no quality time with the daddies while we're away.

Have a safe trip to all that are already on their way...we can't wait - this week better go by fast!!!:cheer2:

YEAH - I know how great it is to FINALLY see this message!!!! :yay:  :yay:

If anyone needs any friendly pharmacist advice, just ask-I'm a Target pharmacist.

Any idea if European pharmacies will honor a prescription written by a US Doctor?

DW will be bringing everything from Acetaminophen to Z-packs but I wonder if she should bring her prescription pad and license in-case we have a need over there?

Does Target fill foreign prescription for tourists?

Think they will balk at a script for 900 oxycontin and a mortar and pestle? (I'm teasing)

Eller - sorry I did not respond sooner - my family would be thrilled to do the Bible study on Monday. If you need anything, let us know. What a great way to thank God for such a beautiful gift as our trip. Thanks for doing this.:)

OMG - LMAO - my dogs are the same way. Suitecase means we are leaving. If we are leaving that means they either get to go the grandma & grandpa's or they stay home by themselves with visits every morning & afternoon from child and grandpa. Violet is already looking at the stacked up clothes and at me and seems to know that the 'game is afoot' and that 'we are going to leave them!!!' Of course, making sure gravity doesn't fail and the couch or beds don't float away is a tough job and not one to be taken lightly and that is why they can't go with us. Oh, and did I mention we stocked up on extra treats for while we are gone? Spoiled? Not my dogs....:rolleyes1

I just bought kittie a water feeder since she only gets checked in on. I bought puppy a new toy, because I bought the dog he will be staying with a toy to say thanks for putting up with my dog. My friends dog is small and fluffy, white. My dog is a big (65/70 lbs), black Lab. Little dog is afraid of big dog. I was surprised my friend said she'd take him. :rolleyes1

Us too Eller. I kept meaning to go back and quote your post but I have not had time to go back and go through the pages. When I saw this post Iwas very happy!

Thanks for organizing that!

In case no one has answered yet: FL is NOT like OR/WA = no state-run liquor stores. There are commercial liquor stores, and many drug stores have liquor stores attached. Wine & beer in the grocery stores.
The Florida Mall is about 5 miles from the airport http://www.simon.com/mall/default.aspx?ID=139
According to the web there is a liquor store 3 miles from the mall.
If anyone is desperate, I or one of the (closer) locals would probably be more than willing to give a ride/make a run/etc. I'll be in the area Friday afternoon (5/11), so let me know if I can help.

Yeah, the Walmart is just about 3 miles from the Florida Mall.
