Thanks for all the info on the wine! I think it may be a corkage fee for a couple of bottles at least. Do you know if the liquor stores near the Hyatt have a decent selection of wines?

Someone mentioned numbers for getting on the ship. Those of you that have been before can you please enlighten us with the procedures on embarcation? Most cruises seem to be a free for all but I get the impression that does not happen with DCL.

If you are travelling with DCL transfers do you have a choice of times to go to the ship?

Regards,
Greg:)

Any idea if European pharmacies will honor a prescription written by a US Doctor?

DW will be bringing everything from Acetaminophen to Z-packs but I wonder if she should bring her prescription pad and license in-case we have a need over there?

Does Target fill foreign prescription for tourists?

Think they will balk at a script for 900 oxycontin and a mortar and pestle? (I'm teasing)

DW is a doctor? I didn't know that???!!!!
So she can write my girls a script for antibiotics and stuff? Our peditrician only would give us a few samples of antibiotics...

I want one of these. Has anyone found something similar already made that I can embellish???? Like from a Bed, Bath & Beyond or something?

Hi Brooklyn - I went to Target and got a shoe hanger for the back of the door and I cut it, embellished it and it looks great - considering it is my first one.

With Bingo on board to do they use the dab ink or do they use a punch system? I am just wondering if it is worth bringing the daubers that I have.

Thanks

You cannot bring dabbers or anything for Bingo. Everything has to be Disney!:yay: :yay:

Ya sure about that??;)

Haven't checked in a while have ya:rolleyes1 ;)

Debbie

Wow, you're good......:cutie:

BY THE WAY, I NEED A CONFIRMATION THAT WE HAVE SOMEBODY TAKING A PHOTO OF THE SHIP AS WE LEAVE THE PORT...(we worked hard on the banner, somebody has to take a photo of it!)

Was it Miles2go...I can't remember:sad2:

Hi Greg,
I don't know anything about the alcohol situation, but when it comes to the embarkation I think I can help a little.
There is a system that happens at DCL...depending on when you enter the terminal, you are assigned a boarding number. I think its groups 1-9? Group number 1 is only for concierge and special assistance. The usually board the other groups in order pretty quickly afterwards. I am always group 2 so I don't know how fast the others get onboard, or how high the numbers go.

And when it comes to DCL transfers, I know that there are several busses throughout the day that leave from the MCO airport--I am pretty sure they are pretty constant throughout the day. If the transfers are from any of the WDW resorts or parks, I am pretty sure that they have assigned times that they pick up at each location (excluding the value resorts). I had a client leave from Caribbean Beach resort and they gave us the time of 12:30 pm when the DCL bus would be there.
So I am thinking that unless you leave from the airport, you can't choose the time, unless you go to a certain park? DCL should know the approximate times.

Cupcake - I could never forget about you. I have special plans for you!!!!

Uh oh! Just remember, it's my 29th, appearances to the contrary. ;)

Hey, do you need me to make one of my soon to be world famous inflatable parrot stabilization devices for Abby? Although we're getting into crunch time here, I cannot bear the thought of her sporting a droopy inflatable parrot. I also must note my disappointment with the inflatable parrots. I really thought that if one merely had a small enough shoulder (regrettably, the parrot seems designed for a child, which is too bad as it is such an attractive accessory for all ages), the parrot would stand up on its own. So I'm disappointed, to say the least.

I will be another one of the sad people left at home for another week :(
I was not able to make a fish extender because I am SO NOT a sewer. :(
I will have a decorated door though, and we are current on the cruise list, so I guess that is better than nothing?

I am getting sooo excited. Only a week? :yay:

Oh good thinking! That is what I am going to try.

I have gone magnet crazy! Now time to work on my "fish extender" Ummm, I wonder when I am going to start packing! :rotfl:

So if we arrive early at the port (defined as a time yet to be determined but before it officially opens), do they let you park and walk over to wait in line at the terminal, or do we wait in the car, or do we split up (one in car, one at terminal)? We were going to leave our stuff at the hotel, get us all checked in and get our boarding #, and then drive back, retrieve my mom, and have my dh drop us and the luggage off and return the car. Just wondering how this works logistically. I *could* just roll with the punches, but that would be so unlike me! :rolleyes1

Cynthia - you are too sweet. If you would like to make one for Abby that would be great, if you don't have time, that is fine too. Her outfit is black and she is wearing a red and white striped jacket. I don't know if you really needed to know that, but anyway. Cannot wait to chat with you.

Thanks for this. We are at the Hyatt with quite a few others so I guess we will just go with the flow.

So last night I stared forlornly at the computer screen as hardly any posts came in all night. Tonight I was out playing corporate wife until all hours and there are 6 pages of posts to catch up on. What gives? :confused3 What was I missing last night that had the rest of you so occupied?

To those who are (or will be very very soon) already on vacation--have fun and travel safe. Oh, and have a sweet pretzle in Norway for me (Hmm--can you get a shopping pass for EPCOT if all you want is one almondless sweet pretzle--okay maybe two, I don't want to share mine with the kids--from Kring la--it would be so totally worth the hike for me:rotfl2: )

 Hurray for more passports on the way:banana:

We just reserved the Chocolate Museum.

Not sure why it was not there before :confused3 but it is there now. :cool1:

Does anyone have suggestions for any other Shore Excursions. This is our first Disney Cruise and we have not had any time to research any of these other places (I am too busy making magnets :rotfl2: ).

We would like to do the beach on the Canary Islands but $119 per person for the beach??? It better be one amazing beach!

Gibralter we would like to do "The Rock" but not sure if we should book through Disney or not. The one we wanted is full but we were looking at some of the others.

Anyway, any insight on any fo the stops, even Castaway Cay would be great.

DH would like do do the Stingray thing and all I can think of is the Crocodile Hunter. Is it safe to do that???

Connie - I noticed your offer to drive by the store on Friday night. Is their any way you could squeeze one more person in the car? DW is really in a panic about getting to a store before the cruise. We had thought about taking a taxi back and forth just so that she can have some peace of mind.
Greg

Of course, we can have a SHOPPING PARTY!
Just pm me and let me know your phone # and where you'll be and your wife is very welcome to come along!

I checked with Debbie, who has this same concern-- hence this post! If you don't provide your stateroom #, you'll miss out on surprises that others may be planning! In other words, if your stateroom # is not on the list (whether now or once on board) no one can drop stuff off at your stateroom. Mine, btw, has a ribbon and thus can be left in a fish extender or tied to a door handle, but not if I don't know where you are.

Happy travels!
 C.

YEAH! no prezzies for those without stateroom numbers! How's that for incentive! :tink:

looks like I'm the only one up now. Just got my list made for our community's garage sale. I've been in charge of it for about 5 years now. We have about 250 people who pay our Women's association $5 to advertise and make a list and map of everybody who's having a sale. I HAD to finish tonight because tomorrow I get copies and get them to the Publix store for garage salers to pick up!

It's crazy here in Hunter's Creek 2 times a year! Connie
