DSIL is a special ed teacher for a seriously autistic class (3-6 year old). One of her students was at DL last week. After they exited a ride they were asked if they wanted a prize and handed an envelope. it is our cruise for a family of 4!!! I got these via DH so he is vague on details. I called DSIL and left a message that she should send the family this way because we are such a nice group of people and really don't bite even:rotfl2: . They are a family of 5 so are upgrading, but how awesome is that!? Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about Disney!

Very neat story. I hope that family had passports already. The stress of getting everything ready for a trip like this on that short of notice would do me in (but I WOULD find a way!).

Meds--Hmm, I am packing more than I ever have before for this trip. I have tylenol for adults and kids, sudafed and even bought a little bottle of Imodium (never used this stuff) plus antibiotic oinmnet. It makes sense to bring stuff, I just don't even know where to start. I have been blessed with kids who are almost never sick. Is there something really obvious I am missing?

Erik--Glad to see the doctor feels your ear is okay.

Lindsay--Have a great trip. I am jealous you get to start your vacation already.

Cayla--Club 33? Okay, I admit it I am jealous of you too!

1 MORE WEEK!

 :cool1:  :cool1:

A week from now I will be on a plane on my way to WDW. And it can not come too soon.

Packing will be done this weekend. Work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then on our way!

As for the Mother's Day Card. Don't have to worry about that one :thumbsup2 I will just bring Mom with me :)

Did an update to the roster. 284 people! 104 cabins!

Can't wait to see you all!

Debbie

Oh, yeah, I am bringing a complete pharmacy with me too! I got stuff for almost anything! :rotfl: :rotfl:
If anyone needs any friendly pharmacist advice, just ask-I'm a Target pharmacist.

Poor Erik, I have had ear infections since I was a baby....mostly allergies.

Patrick has a very sore ingrown toenail that became infected and we've been soaking his foot, icing it down, making him go with out socks, etc. I think it's better, but if not healed by Monday he's going to the doctor!

I have had in grown toe nails, had to have 1/2 my toe nail removed on 4 different occations. Hurts like I don;t know what for about a week and you walk funny but it does feel better afterwards.

There is or was a surplus warehouse in Orlando that specialized in Disneyania. The one time I went there they had boxes and boxes of the propeller clocks... $4.99. I was thinking at the time that Disney must have changed the rooms.

Yeah I think this was at the Character Warehouse shop but everytime I've been in there they haven't had them (seeing as I don't get in there unless I'm on hols). A friend said they were in there but when they went back to get me one they weren't! :guilty:

   So glad you got that worked out.

:confused3 Are most people already at WDW? I can't remember the last time I saw an evening with this few posts. And it's not even Friday!

Not at WDW yet (leave Saturday) but just logged in and thought the same thing! Since my last post there's only been 2 pages. I think everyone's busy packing!

Not that I have posted much but this is my last post - I will be leaving tomorrow morning and heading to WDW. Today I finish packing, cleaning and mowing lawns. Then I have to pack up the car later today and get some shut-eye.

Safe travels to everyone - looking forward to seeing you all on the ship!

Class is going well and there is a guy from Barcelona in the class, he warns of pick pockets, will pick his brain for other scoop.

we plan on only carrying a little stuff with us and we will carry all $$ and such in our passporter pouches around our necks under our clothes...my hubby will not even have a wallet!

How about our price of gas, Scott? $3.40

why is it up again?! the thing that gets me is the same excuses refineries down, low supply, etc while the companies continue to make record profits! something is definitly WRONG! although i can't complain compared to you...we pay 2.79 here

There is also a channel on the TV that shows the time, and other ship info...The propeller clocks are not there anymore - the clock is different. There is a clock, but they changed the style.

the propeller clock was still there in nov but i guess they must have changed....does the new clock have an alarm???

Did I see somewhere that someone is planning on using the Metro in Barcelona? At first I was thinking tourist bus, but now looking at the difference in price for 4 people between that and just a couple of T10 cards, I'm thinking we should just do the Metro. It looks like most of what we want is on the purple line L2, so we will be adventurers, I think. But if someone else has been researching it, I would love to hear your tips.

we are planning on using the metro! i printed out a copy of the metro map online to plan our day and circled which stops to get off at for the attractions we plan to see....there is another website i have been looking at that lists exactly which line to take and where to get off..let me see if i can find the link....barcelona tours

Yesterday Rob and I were at H2O Plus, and for kicks we thought we'd ask the lady if she knew what products they are using on DCL. We certainly didn't expect her to have any idea. Well, she went in the back, and came out with the ACTUAL products--they had the Disney Cruise Logo, Mickey on the top, everything! If they are the exact same ones she showed us, they are a really good size too! I know it's been talked about on this board already, but it seems like a really good product. Anyone stressing about room for toiletries or the sizes or quality of the product, these looked great, although some people have been on the cruise since fall, and probably have better info as to whether or not what they showed us is the actual size of what DCL gives in the staterooms. Just thought it was cool to see the H2O product with the logo on it in our store here in Las Vegas.

i liked all the products...they smell so good! and they are a great size!

Gas at $3.47, pretty steep.

We also have a pretty complete pharmacy, a REMINDER: keep the scheduled stuff in the original bottles, with a label in your name.

That is KEWL about the Million Dreams giveaway.

Erik, good to hear the ear is on the mend, take all the meds in the series.

Safe Travels All.

DON'T SPEED!

in case any of you missed it our nice basket lady Shirley started a thread about how they are cracking down on speeders on the highway to port canaveral (i.e. they need more doughnut and coffee $$$ :rotfl2: ) she said they are giving tickets for 0-5 miles per hour over too!!!!!!!! we plan on cruising at 1 mile below speed limit to avoid any problems...

also don't forget money for tolls!

* Benadryl & Cortaid in case some one has an allergic reaction or gets into something itchy
* Selection of bandaids for blisters and boo boo's
* thermometer
* cough medicine - someone (Triaminic maybe?) makes these neat cough strips that travel really well purple ones for adults & big kids, pink ones for the younger ones

Those are the basics. I have other stuff on my list, but I follow the philosophy of "if I have it I won't need it!" :rotfl2: I'm packing umbrella's and rain poncho's on the same reasoning.

Safe Travels to all those that are starting on their way! We will be there in just 8 more days!!

If anyone needs any friendly pharmacist advice, just ask-I'm a Target pharmacist.

Oh a Target Pharmacist! I LOVE Target Pharmacy. I know someone should not be so excted about a pharmacy but target is the best. I love the liquid dispensing bottles!!! Ok, I will stop now so everyone does not think I am crazy. :rotfl:

Thanks Kelly - I booked it with Super Shuttle - 90 for round trip for 3. all set...that trip is almost completely done now. Just waiting to find out which day we are going to Club 33. We are so psyched about that one!! whoa, whoa, whoa... how are you getting into Club 33... we've been trying to get in there for years and have been on the wiating list for 5 years.

The next piece of stuff I have to get to is the pin event in Sept. Have to register before we leave.

Oh yea - the airfare for the Adventures By Disney Imperial Cities...geez...I am headed all over the world this year - next year I will have to be a home body (Just to pay for all of this!!) Me Too!

My To Do list seems to grow and shrink - just about the time I think I have it almost done more seems to appear...now I am SO glad someone posted about the mother's day cards. I have to send flowers to mom and grams (she is 101 and LOVES her flowers!!)

I am very very green with envy. Have a most excellent time with your parents. We'll see you soon.

Target Pharmacy--Absolutely the best. I drive into to Concord to fill perscrpitions because Target is so mcuh better than other places (not thatI ever get out of Target with ONLY the perscription). Gotta love the nifty color coded bands. But the best part is really nice knowledgeable staff. KarenNY, you must be nice and knowledgeable too if you work there:)
