An article in today's Orlando Sentinel stated May 25th at downtown Disney would be a midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean- At Worlds End. Is it possible we could get an early showing on the cruise? Alex

I've been away from the boards for a few days. Curt and I have decided that unless he gets layed off, we will still try to make this cruise. We're going to buy insurance that covers that possibility.

I did get to see the Disney Christmas Day parade.

I haven't been out to check the excursions yet, but glad to hear they are doing to the horse show on the eastbound as that is one that I wanted to see also.

Since I have nothing better to do in January, I think I will have to make a few trips to Disneyland. At least that is all paid for. I have the premium pass so I get free parking also. I may have to bring our 3yo grandson a few times also (we bought him a Southern Californian pass so he has blockout days).

Hi guys, Had a great day after Christmas party - all the kids made hand made pasta with lots of different sauces. Lots of fun! I haven't had much of a chance to think about the excursions either, but have a little more free time this week before a brief trip to Santa Barbara. Susie, we'll have a little more time in January too, so we'll come over and meet you! Did anyone else watch all the fun ABC Family 25 days of Christmas movies? At DL they handed out a card as you enter the parking lot that had a list of different movies each day - it was lots of fun. Re: the parade... I'd like to know how the Castle apartment will work. Will there be a concierege to take care of you? Will you be allowed to leave the castle and go anywhere in the park? What about food? Probably a stocked fridge? Also, I loved seeing the new AK ride - that looks fun when it goes backwards.

I've been working on the name badges and thought that I would use the same basic design for a T-shirt logo also. So I put something together and opened a Cafepress shop. This is the first time I've done this, so I hope it will work.

For those that know Kay and Harry (KRDisneybound), here is the latest information:

I called Kay today to find out how she and Harry are doing. As many of you know, Kay had surgery earlier this month. She was home from the hospital, however, she was unable to even hardly get to her front door and couldn't walk. She was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale and the doctor had to open her back up from her surgery because she now has an infection from the surgery. She is in isolation and has an open wound on her stomach which she thinks is going to be open for 3-4 weeks. She was very positive on the phone and said she is going to beat this thing!

As many of you know, her husband, Harry, has been battling cancer, and he had developed some blood clots in his lung so he was in the hospital and the doctors were thinning out his blood. She expected that he was going to go back home (maybe today from the way it sounded.)

That's the latest. Please send pixie dust their way! I know our family will keep them in our prayers.

Tshirts look very fun! I love the idea of using all the flags. So then what is the procedure from here then? Once you've gotten a tshirt made and printed and see that it looks good then we just all go on and order ourselves the shirt in whatever style(s) we like best?...then we all wear them to board the ship and for the sail away party?

That's what we have done in the past. By using Cafepress, one person doesn't have to take orders for shirts and then worry about getting then made. Cafepress does the work.

Also...it's official...Happy Holidays Mom & Dad!! My parents ARE coming to the World with us before the cruise. We had offered my parents the opportunity to come and stay with us at AKL (I know it'll be a little cramped...4 adults in one room with 2 queen beds...but we've done it before in smaller rooms in "skankier" hotels (like in NYC) so we'll manage). They really wanted to do it. However, they didn't think they could afford the trip even if we did provide "free" lodging. Well my sister was traveling over the weekend by air and had just the worst/best luck with oversold flights and ended up with TWO vouchers for free round trip airfare in the 48 states....so she used those vouchers to pay for my parents' airfare and Jason and I agreed to buy them park hoppers...so they only thing they have to cover is their food while they're with us which is a much more manageable expense. So my parents are coming down on Monday afternoon the 7th and will be staying with us until Friday evening (we tried to get them a flight out on Saturday morning so they would fly out the same time we are returning our car to the airport and catching the DCL shuttle to the port...but the airlines block out weekend dates apparently and wouldn't let them fly with the free vouchers on a Saturday...grrrrr ). Unfortunately I think that means that we'll miss the wine and cheese greet because their flight is in the evening on Friday...but if we do then we'll see you all on deck!

This will be an exciting trip for my parents because they have not been to Disney since I was about 10 years old. The last time I went to Disney with my parents was the last time they were there themselves and there was only Magic Kingdom and Epcot really...and even those parks have changed dramatically since then. Plus, my parents actually first MET in Orlando---and on their first date they got ice cream and walked around Lake Eola...with the big fountain in the middle. So this will be a nice "homecoming" for them. (of course it also means i'm going to have to find a map of Orlando and figure out how to GET to Lake Eola....I haven't been THERE either since I was 10!!! )

As I recall, it takes a few days to process the order and then a week or more for shipping (unless you pay extra for faster shipping). I ordered one yesterday, and didn't pay for fast shipping. I'll let you know how long it takes to get here.

They could take the Magical Express (for free) to MCO on Friday evening. Also you may want to consider adding the meal plan to your reservation. It's really a good deal and would probably save them $. Let me know if you need any details as I've used it 3 times since July.
