Probably the best Santa I've ever seen in my life.

I absolutely agree. When our two older girls were little we went to the DL Santa for several years. Hands down the best! Glad you had a wonderful time. I love the park at Christmas time. We (me and 3 kids, DH has to work) are thinking about going up on Wednesday. Interested in joining us? What do you think the crowds will be like? Is Reindeer Roundup where Woody's Halloween thing was?

DH will spend all weekend putting up Christmas lights (think Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation movie! :rotfl2: ) Actual Turkey day is at his Aunt's house.

I'm not sure but its possible that DH would rather put bamboo under his fingernails before trying to go to DL on Wednesday. They are expecting full capacity crowds! I, however, would love to come visit you guys!! I'll email you.

Yes, Santa is where the Woody's roundup was... it's really cute for Christmas with Mrs. Claus hanging out in the audience with the show on stage.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Safe travels to one and all.

Enjoy the weekend, as we all have many things to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving all! We all have so much to be thankful for. Not the least of which is that we will be sailing to the Med on the Magic!

Debbie

Good Morning All! :wave2:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Just taking a break from the ads. Trying to decided if the cheap prices are worth the Black Friday aggravation . :surfweb:
Tippy is helping Lee's mom cook the ham for dinner this afternoon. Supposed to be 18 total at our meal.
Should be a wonderful day with family and friends and, I am sure, a great dinner.
The weather plans to cooperate...sunny and the high 50's.

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving is a magical day.
Lee, Bob & Tippy

Indeed....HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

What are we thankful for? Less than 170 days til we're aboard the ship...and less only 161 days until we're at the World!!!

:tigger:

Happy College Football Day everyone!

Robert and I are still coming to the Med., just been so busy, haven't had time to get on the boards! With Christmas coming, I'm sure it will stay that way. Probably will go full steam in January!

Have a great holiday season

If you are a CC member you can make your plans 90 days out..is this correct? When is your final payment due..75 or 90 days out? I used AAA travel to transfer my ressie but they are not the best with forwarding info from DCL. They wait until everything arrives at the end and then they send it to me. By then some of the info is way late, so if any important info is released concerning our cruise would someone please let me know. Thanks!

My travel agent is with mousearsvacations.com and they're requiring final payment by Feb. 1st...which is about 100 days. And yes, DCL policy is that Castaway members can make reservations and bookings online at 90 days.

Hello everyone, I hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I am looking for a couple of recommendations for a online travel agent to help with plane reservations. Because we doing the repo and then the first med cruise and then going up to Paris, the airline planes are more than I can figure out. :confused3 If you have an online TA you are using, I would love to hear it.

Thanks,
Char and Andy

Sooo Much palnning, moving and a big trip the end of January. Glad I got a lot of this trip planning done before this move.

Well Turkey day and the whole weekend were spent packing and cleaning. Lynn still has a bunch to do. She is a real trooper working hard.

I am back in Cheyenne and Lynn should be here on 12/1, her birthday, I better plan something, like a special TV diner or pizza. because all the kitchen stuff will be in a box in the garage. LOL

It was good to see the pups.

Hi Cruisers, Well we had a lovely Thanksgiving at the Grand Ballroom at the Disneyland hotel. They did a beautiful job with the food, decor, music, character interactions. We ate until we rolled out to the lobby to take pictures with Santa then to downtown Disney and to sit by the fireplace at the Grand Californian. As much as we enjoyed it we decided to go to Goofy's kitchen next year because we like the table side greetings of the characters and the food was just as fun. But it was an experience that we won't forget. There were tons of families that have made it a tradition for years. The funniest was a family of 21 all the kids and teens were dressed in costumes and when they called their name it was "Mike Wazaowski party of 21" we laughed our heads off! It was fun to start watching all the new Christmas movies this weekend and football was heavily watched in the other room :cheer2:

I realized this morning that it is now less than six months and I had done very little about the Orlando portion of our trip. We have one night there before sailing and two nights afterwards. So I spent some time today researching rates. Here is what I've come up with.

I got a great rate for a Budget rental car (pick up at MCO and drop at the port) - $28.09 for an economy ($35.29 after tax). I got this rate by following the links from the Costco web site. It didn't even ask me for my Costco membership ID, so I'm not sure if you need to be a member or not.

I found out that it was going to cost $12 to park the rental car at the airport Hyatt (in addition to the $178.88 for the room), so I decided to drop that reservation. I think instead we are going to try the Radisson Resort - Celebration. I've been kind of wanting to check out Celebration, but have never had the time, so maybe we'll do that the morning of the sailing. The AAA rate is $109.95.

We weren't going to the parks the night before, but do plan on making Scott's wine and cheese party. I also made an ADR at Raglan Road for that night at 8pm. Scott - do you have any idea what time your event will start?

I made reservations for the two post cruise nights at New Orleans French Quarter. The Disney rates weren't that great, but I got a AAA discount that wasn't too bad ($148 per night).

Now I just have to decide on the ADRs for the post cruise days.

Well, it's official. DH is going to be required to attend a conference for the last week of May. I sent DU my cancellation request this morning. I really wanted to do this trip and thought about going with just DD3, but in the end, I want to share the trip with DH. I'll be looking for daily live updates of what I am sure will be an absolutely wonderful cruise! Have a great time and I wish I could be there with you all!

Sorry the cruise didn't work out. He will really owe you for this one (my DH has had to back out of more trips than you can count due to work). Sorry we didn't get to meet you, but there will always be more cruises in the future.

Scott must have missed. But based on the last two he has hosted, they start around 4 p.m. (we have come straight from the airport the last couple of times!). Hopefully, we are flying in the night before this time. Note to self: make reservations at OKW to stay!

For those who are visiting DLRP and not staying onsite. Disney have changed their cheapest AP so everyone can use it instead of just people living locally.
The cost is 89 euros and the exclusion dates about the time of your trip are
1er, du 4 au 9 inclusive, 29 et 30 april
1er, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 27 et 28 may

The next pass is 129 euros with many less exclusion days.
A link for their site is link here but it is in French.

There is a 10 percent discount if you can find someone to reccomend you and I have a friend who is looking to do this so PM me if you are interested.
