Andras,

Owen will turn 8 in March and Amy will be 6 in July. They will actually be missing their last 3 1/2 weeks of school. We're doing this cruise b2b with the first Med cruise. I don't think there are going to be very many kids on this cruise so they will definitely be pals. This will be our 4th (and 5th) Disney Cruise. My kids love the clubs and activities.

Hi to all! I'm thinking about changing our 7 day to this cruise but if I do then would it be stupid to take an inside cabin? I have always had an outside but we are never in the cabin and with the price..... Also does anyone know what time we can disembark on the 26th. The only flights I can find are early morning. Did anybody get flight from DCL? THANKS!

Hi all,
Welcome Aarato and gydell!!!!!!!

Happy belated B-day Scott, have you found a new house yet?

CACruisin, took your advice and headed back to Woody's Halloween round up - very cute for the little ones (although they had run out of food to make.) We saw the Jasmine and Alladin storytelling and had one of those I can't believe I didn't have the video camera with dd3. She was dressed up like Captain Hook and A & J both said AAARRRRGGG to her. She busted up laughing and couldn't stop.

Gydell: We are still up in the air about using the DCL air, but I heard that we'll be off the boat by 9ish. On the Mexico cruise we were off by 8am.

Littleowensmommy: Have you guys found a house yet too?

Happy Halloween everyone: We've been dressing up every day. Yesterday the neighbors had a party and DD3 decided that she would be the evil Queen (finally taking off the Hook costume.) She walked around holding the red box (she doesn't really know what is supposed to be in the box) and holding a red apple saying, "I'm evil!" It was a riot!!!

Not yet. We'll be out there at Easter to house hunt. The market is heading in the right direction though. Hopefully we'll end up with more house for less $.

Kathy,

I will post some pictures this weekend, so that you will recognize us. I wish I could do the back-to-back, but I will have to spend the remaining week of my vacation in Hungary visiting relatives there. I picked the transatlantic cruise because it is a little bit different going to Europe. We have been flying to Europe every year in the past 9 years and it is going to be so much nicer by cruise. No jet leg. :woohoo:

We'll be in Barcelona the day before disembarkation (on Friday), and the official time is 6:45AM. I am sure they will be happy to let you off early. I am planning to stay as long as I can because my flight leaves at 2PM. :hourglass :

I typically shop around at www.kayak.com or www.faremax.com for one-way tickets. I was looking around the other day and saw one-way tickets from Barcelona to Chicago for around $500 (May/26/06).

Anyone getting any good flight deals-one way to MCO before the cruise?

Hey everyone! Seems like I've missed a small flurry of posts...but always fun to catch up!

Welcome Gydell!!! You should definitely switch to this cruise....I haven't even met everyone in person yet and I can already vouch for the fact that it's a fun fun bunch! Plus, how can you go wrong with TWO FULL WEEKS of onbard fun with Mickey and pals?!?!?

Seriously, though, I think your question about inside vs. outside cabin is a good one. I know that others on this board have talked about the fact that cost this time around has influenced some folks to "downgrade" their cabin style....which is certainly understandable. If you do end up deciding to do that I"m sure you won't be alone. Also, as someone whose been on a number of DCL cruises and has stayed in both inside and outside cabins and with and without verandahs, etc......I can tell you that while the outside cabins with the verandah are FABULOUS (obviously), the inside cabins are not that bad.....I think it really depends on how many people you will have in the cabin and how much time you think you'll really spend there.

:tigger:

Yep, found a house and the sale of the old house is going well.

I think an inside cabin would work just fine as there are plenty of outside areas to use, also at times it seems that one is never in their cabin as there is a whole lot of stuff going on.

At WDW having a good time.

We are doing FF miles to get to WDW before the cruise.

Thanks everyone! Still not sure but at least I have plane tickets on hold until Thursday nite. The return is not the best but waitlisted for better, but at least they are free. We had a verandah last cruise and only went out on it once and that was before the ship left the port. So I guess I have till tomorrow to decide if we are switching. Do you think there will be as many kids this cruise since it is 2 weeks of school they would miss? We thought the kids club was a little to crowded last year.

I think it's hard to predict obviously but I think the general sentiment amongst this board is that this cruise will likely be lighter on kids than normal because of the timing, duration, cost, and itinerary. I think it's easier for families with kids who are school age to travel during the summer and during breaks or on trips that are shorter in duration or at least that stay in (or closer to) the US. I'm sure there will be kids...it is Disney, after all, but it's all a matter of perspective....it will be nothing like a 3 night on the Wonder during February break or July, I'm sure!! LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I agree, for sure. Less kids means they may open up the Oceanears Club to us big kids.... I hope.

Hey, any talented artsie folks out there that can do some Kewl art work for this cruise??????

We're booked! Myself-55, myDD-34, and my DGS-5 will be joining you. We have cabin 6585 (hoping for an upgrade with a window) and have early seating. Plane tickets confirmed - so all I have to do now is wait!

Welcome Aboard gydell and crew….

As Debbie posted the proof, they did it on the PC cruise and recently on the 11 night Wonder. It is fun……

I agree, they should have a time for us big kids on the Mickey Slide….

Hey Bob, heard a good song yesterday “Big Ship Sailing on the Ocean” Artist is Dennis Brown…. could make the cut. This edition will be a tough one… different theme not much time in the Islands…
