O.K., how did I get this reputation about Krispy Kremes?

Just a guess, I thought it was you who brought them to our attention, that they were on the DCL ship, and such the legend was born.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB, enjoy just rember you are growing older but not up!!!

Hey all......sorry I haven't posted in a few days....my computer is still sick :badpc: and i'm on a work trip to Albany, NY and NYC this week so I am having only episodic access to the internet (I left Jason, the "DP ;) home all week to paint, install cupboard doors, and fix things :rotfl: :Pinkbounc

I like all the name suggestions, too....what fun trying to think of an unofficial "title" for the trip....DCL should be payin us like a think tank :grouphug: ...and then be paying all y'all for the merchandising! :rotfl2:

What if we picked something that was a longer name that could be spelled out on a shirt but that had a fun acronym or abbreviation?? I don't necessarily have any brilliant ideas on top of my head now necessarily....but it is one way to go so that we could keep the IDEA or THEME of the title intact but also create a short, catchy title for all the fun stuff people are making. (Like I was thinking it could be cute to call the M&M cruise..."Magic & the Mediterranean"...but again that is not so much about OUR cruise as one of the cruises after we get done bringing the boat over there for them!! )

We'll put our thinking caps on, too

I do believe that they are laced with some sort of narcotic. :lmao:

I've heard that the Krispy Kremes on the Magic are laced with...

:tink: Pixie Dust! :tink:

From one 1954 baby boomer to another... :woohoo:

:cool1:  :cool1: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!! :cool1:  :cool1:

Hey Scott... those dives sound terrific.

Milestogo... Glad you enjoyed DL. I'd probably be taking up residence on MAin Street if we live that close :goodvibes

Does anyone out there have any kids menus from previous cruises. What I want is the backside of the menus, the side that has graphics and games. Please let me know where I might be able to find these. Thanks.

Hope everyone has a great day. It's foggy and overcase in Southern California - a cool 56 degrees - haven't seen any serious sun in weeks. We've got "June gloom" in May. I need some

Shari, I think I've got them..... but getting to them.... They are in their designated scrap book 'to do' box. I'll get back to you this weekend.

We finally had some sun yesterday, it was a shocking surprise to see it again. We pay big money in SoCal to have the sun present. Usually by the time June gloom comes around we are ready for it, this year has been cold, cold, cold.

Thanks Milestogo. I would appreciate any assistance. I thought I kept a copy but my daughter hasn't used a kids menu in a long time and they aren't in my scrapbooks (my cruises are the one thing I scrap as soon as I get home - my regular life - years behind).

If anyone else has the menus, I'd really appreciate knowing as I'm sure they must change them from time to time.

Oh well, I'm suppose to be working from home today but I'm having a hard time getting started - lots to do and little inclination to do it. Hope everyone has a good day. Maybe it's a good thing the sun is hiding today - it would be even harder to work if the sun was out :rotfl:

CACruisin, Did you love Goofy's kitchen?

Goofy's Kitchen was the perfect ending to a fantastic day! The kids loved all the characters and the characters loved them. At one point Belle and Chip and Dale wanted the kids to sing something. So that one table started to sing. Immediately, all the other kids at the other tables started to sing!!! This was completely spontaneous and not directed by their teacher or anything. Kodak moment with tears at all the "mommy" tables.

Earlier, the kids did a 30 minute performance at the Arena at the beginning of the State PTA Convention General Meeting (2000-4000) people. They were on stage with mic's and lights and they were also projected onto two big screens with pans and close ups! This was a totally new experience for all of them. They sounded great! They looked great! It was really incredible. We got a new music teacher at school last year. She started the honor choir for 5th and 6th graders this year. She is really awesome and has done amazing things with the kids.

OK, enough braggin' on my kids!

Shari, I may have kid menu's from last summer. I'll look this weekend. I have manilla envelopes full of my scrap "memoriabilia", but it is slow to make it into any actual scrapbook. Maybe when everyone goes away to college ....

Maybe we should (both) add to our goals list...

Have scrapbooks of last year's cruise completed by the beginning of next year's cruise!

Sounds like the conference and Goofy's Kitchen was a blast, I'll bet the other guests were impressed!

I'm so excited!!! One year from today! It's going to be 6 months away before we know it. The summer just flies by. The longest stretch for me will be after the holidays...the winter always seems to drag on forever.

Oh My!!! OUR ONE YEAR COUNTDOWN!!! Suddenly I already feel behind! :rotfl: The past year has flown by for me! That's probably why I feel this way!

Debbie! Enjoy WDW!

Shari! I'll see if I have children's menus from last September. I have a feeling Brandon did all the puzzles and then left the menu at the table, but I'll check.

Debbie

Yep, both Curt and I are, but it's kind of difficult to make us out. It's easier to see me in the second picture. We're standing near the white pickup truck. I have a lighter green (almost yellow) top on. Curt is standing next to me in light colored slacks and light blue shirt. He is really difficult to see, but I picked him out by his height and his white hair.

DD got her first annual pass...Also, had my first serious public 3 year old temper tantrum. She didn't want to leave Mickey's house
We will be buying our just turned 3 grandson his first annual pass next month. He ususally waits to throw his tantrums until we drop him back off at his parents house.

They are at the castawayclub web site. For some reason, I'm having trouble pasting that link, but if you go there and then click on Menus and Food you will find the kids menu.

Right you guys are a year form today we will have stormed the Magic....KEWL.

Debbie have a great trip to WDW.

Hi all

I got my info packet about Gibraltar today...Yayyy...

and, what will DCL do for the Pirate night?....Different Pirates in that part of the world...Not much transatlantic cruise time spent in the Caribbean this time....Tropical night in Barcelona?.... Ole'

Ferdinand the Bull night? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Not much tropical theme time...Whatever shall we do? :confused3

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: We are a year away!!!! Now we get to start counting down months!

Debbie, have a great time at WDW. It has been killin' me all week that DH was at WDW for a conference, and I couldn't go and then I was across the street from DL and I couldn't go. Definitely had a lot of "mouse" in the system. I kept thinking this time next year I'll be flying to FL, getting on the ship, at the sailaway party ....

For Pirate night, maybe it will be at Castaway Cay? Just a thought... Maybe a tropical night at Canary Islands or Cadiz?

Read a trip report today about the Jewel of the Seas transatlantic crossing last month. Sounds like they had good seas for most of the trip. :cheer2: Still would love to read about someone spending their sea days sunning by the pool :sunny:
