Having done both the TA and Med cruise, I also would do the TA over. While the Med cruise was fun and we saw lots of great stuff - I personally like the more relaxed pace of fewer ports and more sea days.

Also - I'm excited to report that I've crossed the $9,000 donation threshold! Only two more months before the event.

Ken - I agree completely!! The crossing was amazing - I loved the fact that there were only a couple of ports, we saw some neat places, but no hurry and no rush involved.

There is a cruise (not Disney) in Russia, I wish I could recall the lines' name...well - anyway. They use the ship as a hotel. The cruise goes up the largest river and stops at each city along the way for 2 or 3 days! maybe Disney should look at that...allows people to see more, and enjoy the ship!

Very, very interesting! I know quite a few people who did the river cruises through France as well and LOVED it! I should have mentioned how much I did love the 11 night (my first trip to Europe), but it was an entirely different trip than the TA. I didn't want to make it sound like I didn't like it. The TA was so very special for so many reasons. I love the adventure of seeing the new stuff, but I loved running around with everyone from event to event and watching all the movies and show and eating and and and and and and....

Did I mention that Kellys (milestogo) DH Jon will be joining me on a 100 mile ride in just a few weeks.

Should be lots of fun! :thumbsup2

Kelly - Shari and Staci will be working the lunch stop on the Cool Breeze. If you want to see Jon along the route, that is a great place.

Hi, everybody, from SOGGY Florida! We have had so much rain this past week, but usually in the afternoon, but today when we got out of bed, it looked almost like night time! So dark out! I am draining some water from the pool.

Good news! Our women's association has formed our Relay for Life Team!

We are the HOPE ANGELS! Last year was so much fun. Our event will be the weekend of Nov. 10-11.

Please consider visiting my website. Thanks so much! Connie

Oh, by the way, did I tell all of you that Chuck is in England for 3 weeks? He left on July 25 and he won't be back until Aug. 14, the day before I start my new job with DCL!

Patrick and I have been busy, though. But we are not going to WDW today! too rainy! Gonna watch Disney movies instead! We have Fox and the Hound on now.

Isn't it terrible about the bridge collapse in Minneapolis?

Good name, Connie. I'd been trying to come up with a good name for your group with Hope in it. I like that. What are you going to be doing with DCL?

Ken, I was just thinking I need to get our plans set up for the cool breeze, I will email you about what to do.

Hey all, yes very rainy and muddy on the east side of Orlando, too. Connie- I was driving over Hunter's Creek yesterday after leaving EPCOT and I had to pull off the exit it was raining so bad. We sat in the Publix shopping plaza for 20 minutes.

Had great weather for EPCOT yesterday, it rained just as we were leaving.

I really enjoyed the Transtlantic crossing much more than the 11 day Med. I would love to do the other crossing back to Florida but there's just no time. I would really consider doing another crossing next year. Maybe Royal Carribbean or another cruiseline.

Hi folks...I posted this on the main forum but I thought you guys wouldh have some great feed back. : )

With all this talk of lost luggage...i'm terrified we are going to have problems with ours.. My question is...we fly from PIT to JFK to BCN with Delta...anyone have problems with luggage with these stops?

Thanks for your help!

Travis

I'm going to be a Ground Services Rep at the resorts. I'll be getting the paperwork ready for guests doing the land/sea vacations. I'm really excited! Connie

From what I've heard it is the people who are using multiple carriers. Pack your essentials in your carry on and be prepared to buy Disney clothes onboard. BUT and interesting note: you can borrow formal wear from the Guest services they have clothes for loan and lots of wardrobe from the shows. Best tip: bring one suitcase and don't unpack because you'll be too busy and you'll waste a lot of time unpacking and then packing again.

You will have to let us know where ya are so we can stop by and say "Hi".

Good Morning Kids,

Hope all are having a good weekend. Just finished a 5 mile training run, it felt good.
The pups went with me and they are happy now the have had their breakfast. Felling pretty good that we will be ready for the DL ½ marathon. We have a 5K run next weekend, then off to Denver to see a baseball game, Cubs v Rockies.

Lynn is sleeping and I think we will have Breakfast burritos for breakfast. We went to the Farmers Market yesterday and they had some great stuff. Scored some great roasted chilies, will use them in the burritos, some very fresh Basil will have that with tomatoes and mozzarella for lunch.

Got the garage floor painted and the old homestead here on the prairie is coming together. Might put up some wall in the basement today, after we check out our County Fair.

Sounds like everyone has been busy, that is a good thing. Wishing all well.

Thought of the day week or whenever, Remember all the things that you can count might not really count.

Oh, I will! It's so much fun to have my friends stop by and say hi!

I won't know for a while, because I think I will be a "float" at first. I won't know where I'll be from week to week, but that's good, then I will know how every resort works.

Been busy this weekend. My 78 year old mom has decided to put her manufactured home up for sale in Ellenton, FLK and move somewhere closer to me. Our problem is that we just don't have the mobile home parks that they do over in Mantee and Hillsborough county. There are 3 within 20 miles of my house, but all the others are at least 30-40 miles away near Haines City and Lake Wales. But at least that would cut the time in half to go visit her.

Also she insists that the community has a shuffleboard team! That's her main criteria! Oh, well, I am sure she'll find someplace she'll like.

Hi All!

Well the weather the past 2 days has been wonderful. A little rain, but it was a nice drizzle! We really need it here. Not sure if anyone saw the gully washer we had on Thursday. It was so isolated it wasn't funny! About 4 inches of rain in 90 minutes but focused on downtown area. I live 6 miles south of the city and not a drop came down. Gotta love Mother nature.

So I am here filling out the paperwork to renew my passport. Do I staple the 2 photos to the little block on the application? I am assuming so, but just want to be sure. I don't like the part about sending in my passport. I know it will come back, but not having it is scary!

Have a good week everyone!

Debbie
