Hi Cynthia

You will have a great time on the PC Repo! It was great back in 2005 when we did it. I'm glad you were able to book it.

To everyone else - thanks again for the great support of my Arthritis Ride. As you can see below, I'm getting closer and closer to my $10,000 goal!

Hi all - lets get together for dinner:

I've made a reservation for Naples Italian Restaurant in Downtown Disney on the patio for Saturday, September 1st at 5:00pm for a dinner get-together. Please RSVP to me to let me know who is coming and how many, so I can confirm our total and table. If we want a special terrace table upstairs we can arrange that, but we need to make a deposit and can't use our discounts. Anna and I are doing the 5K the next morning and several others are doing the half marathon on Monday morning. You do not have to be in the events to join us for dinner (Kathy, Susie and Curt that means you!) If you bought tickets for the parks, you can exit with a handstamp and it is the first and closest restaurant on the right hand side to the entrance/exit (less than a 5 minute walk.) Looking forward to seeing all of you. Kelly

Hello everyone.. well I remember the med cruise and I did memtion that we were going to do Alaska in August.. well it has come and gone last week..
report as follows:
we are Dvc members and booked an alaskan cruise thru DVC via Holland America. We upgraded to a Verandah, which cost extra. Booked flights thru Southwest Airlines. AS far as the cruise it was great and we enjoyed it very much, Holland America was at the air port to meet us and took care of everything, got us to the hotel and transfers to ship we did not have to handle any luggage they were great. Our room was just below the kitchen area.. the noise was awfull and we could no even sit on our verandah at all... so should you book dvc alaska cruise make sure you do not get room 8071. or for that matter any room in that area. It is just below the lido deck where all the activities are. Food was outstanding... in fact only ate in the dinning room one night because and lida deck had so many different selections and they also served the same as the main dinning room.. benefit the lido deck had windows all around and the sun didn't set until 9:30pm so you could whale watch while enjoying dinner... the waiters got you anything you wanted and were very nice. They had stations... a pasta or italian... pannini station or sandwiches.... the wok chinese... fresh sushi, fresh samon or you could have them fry up what ever you wanted... and the all american which had what the main dinning room was serving you just let them know what you wanted and went to you table and they served.. and of course desert... station.. all kinds of pastry and pies.. ice cream.. cones or anything you could dream of.
Hope this helps for making dvc... adventure bookings.

Busy day yesterday:

Morning run was 7.5 miles with a solid 12 Min Mile pace. I am feeling good about the DL ½.

Went to the local Farmers Mkt, and picked up 4 trees, and 6 six shrubberies, ( got extra shrubberies in the event we run into a Knight that says Nik…) got those puppies planted and staked out. Ya gotta stake them with supports or they will blow away. We also got some nice produce and bread.

The Extreme Makeover crew is here in Cheyenne this week, doing a place about a mile up the road from us. They are rebuilding a house and adding a kennel, it is for a private critter rescue shelter. KEWL!!!!, If they use the opening scene they were filming at the Farmers Mkt, my pick up might be in the opening. Wonder if it is worth more, Look for the maroon ¾ ton ext cab, Dodge, with a Mickey Antenna Topper.

I was going to make Fish Tacos for diner last night but friends called and we went out for a great burger.

I have work today in Denver and Lynn can go with me so we will make a day of it, thinking about trying to get to the Denver Zoo.

Getting cooler here so it might be heading east to you all folks east of us.

Hey Lori, How was Jessica's trip to Europe?

Scott, we had a house down the street from us do the EHM too, it is a lot of fun to watch.

Had a big day yesterday, Ken and Jonathan did the 100 miles bike ride - Ken pulled Jonathan up all the hills. Jonathan quickly realized he has been training on flat riding area, but they had a good day, while Shari, Staci, Zoe and I were at the lunch stop helping. We were lucky to have excellent weather with the fire smoke blowing in the opposite direction of the riders.

We've got a nice group set up for dinner at downtown Disney for the half marathon, anyone else going to be in town to join us?

OK, did we all watch HSM2? I thought it was lots of fun and I loved the music. Eric, been thinking about you, did you like it? How about all the sing along versions they've been running?

For those of you going to the park the day of the dinner, can I tag along? It looks like I will be by myself that day.

Kelly,

Jessica had a wonderful time. She said that she found Venice more beautiful that she had expected. They did and saw so much. I'm going to have to go just so that I know what all she's been talking about! Year after next, I'd say, we'll do a big Italy/Greece explore.

Thanks for asking. I'm glad she's home, three weeks was a long time.

Lori

Hi everyone, just wanted to pop in and say hi and see how everyone is doing! I am very sad to see everyone going on the westbound except me. :(
We are going on the eastbound, so I guess its better than nothing, but I would rather go when the kids miss less school. If I went with just my youngest again, my older 3 would KILL me!

I wish so bad I could go to the meet on the 8th. My DD11, my sister, and I will be at WDW for the free dining, but will be relying on their transportation for the first time, and have Cinderella ressies that night at 5:00 pm. I so wish I could go back and experience that cruise over! Out of our 4 DCL cruises, it was my favorite one!

Hi Scott! :wave2:

I almost forgot!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC!!

Hope you had a great day!

Debbie

Thank you, Deb!

I know I know guys that I have been just TERRIBLE about keeping up on here! This summer has been just one thing after another and I keep telling Jason that I'm going to sit down and write a nice long post updating our lives...and then I realize that all I'd want to type would take me forever...and it seems like too daunting a task...and I postpone it even further....and then here we are WEEEKS overdue and I haven't typed a word!!!

I'm a bad bad Dis-er, I know!! ;)

All in all, though, things are going well here. Summer has been very busy with all the personal dramas we've ahd to endure..plus work...plus trying to enjoy SOME of our summer. We're still only 1/2 done with our landscaping...the weather and our gardener's health have not been working in our favor....we have a lovely garden wall built and installed a great water feature...but there is not a single plant in our beds yet! :lmao: Oh well...patience is a virtue!

We did our trip to NYC. It was....a mixed bag...first off I was there during the week alone...during that week with the CRAZY weather...tornadoes in Brooklyn, flooded subways, the city basically incapacitated.....my hotel lost cable AND internet...yuck. But I got to relax a lot because I just couldn't bring myself to go out into the city with little transportation and crappy weather....so I laid around the hotel and relaxed a lot....very nice. Then Jason came for the weekend and we saw several shows. We saw Legally BLonde (way more fun than we expected and the lead is great), Lion King (wonderful, of course, but that's nothing new), and Mary Poppins (GENIUS!!!! So wonderful!).

Now we're just gearing up for our trip to WDW Sept. 5-9th (with Hadley and her bunch! :goodvibes).

Hope all is well with all of you...and I will TRY to be better about posting here now!!

(p.s. I should mention that today is not just MY birthday....it is also Chris' (Scoobypop) birthday!:woohoo: )

Happy Belated Birthday to both Eric and Chris, hope you both had good days.

Debbie, sounds like you might be busy out there, with the flooding they are talking about on the news. Hope you are surviving OK.

Eric, we expect pictures when your landscaping is done! We keep adding trees to our property (there are not many trees here in the high plains). There is a nursery who is selling plants and trees at good prices at our Farmers Market, so every Saturday, we go and bring home something.
