My TA just called - She found my magnets on her desk and sent them to me today. She says there are no docs yet - I guess she will find them in a couple of weeks!

Elizabeth--Congratulations!!!! You should take a cruise to celebrate. Oh yeah, you already had that planned hadn't you:rotfl:

Linda--Packing (in the suitcases, box has been fillnig a while now) starts here today (and we don't have docs or magnets yet).;)

I figure if I never grow up, I never have to decide what I want to be. It's worked so far:thumbsup2

the horse show is not available on line.....i would hold onto all your ressies and go to the shore excursion desk ASAP after boarding to get your ressies moved around!!!

Okay, this is weird. When I check, it shows that I can book the horse show. It shows all of excursions in Cadiz being available.

That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Mega busy day here at work. is it the weekend yet???? Taking a break.

If folks want to get together on 4/30 or sometime that week, I think my class will be from 8-5 so let me know.

Actually it was the Jerez excursions (other than the horse show) that I was wondering if they were still showing availability. I am concerned about waiting until I board to cancel because you are supposed to cancel 2 days before sailing.

I'm seeing LOTS of Barcelona excursions available (too many to list).

Hi everyone! I just can't keep up, now that it is getting so close!
People are getting docs now??? Woo hooo! When this happens, I cannot imagine our excitement. Even DH is getting excited, he is a little more low key than me, but I can tell. ;)

I see all of those Barcelona excursions still available too, as we have not booked that port yet. I do not see any excursions during the times that we have something already booked, like the first half of Cadiz and Tenerife. I think that they do not give us options that conflict either, at least that's how it is on my excursion page. I better get crackin' if I want to do anything in Barcelona.
Is anyone doing the Barcelona and tapas tour? That one or the barcelona and Gaudi tour are what is interesting me.

And it is true about cancelling the excursions, if you do not cancel them before you sail, they will not let you cancel it onboard at the shore excursion desk. We tried this with parasailing on Castaway cay. They said we could change the time, but could not cancel it. I learned my lesson to cancel what I did not want a few days before leaving....

Oaky--first of all I "time out" abpout 50-60% of the time I do ANYTHING on the DCL website--keep trying.

We have no excursion booked. I logged in our family of four and found many things available (10 in Barcelona, 9 in Cadiz, 9 in Gibraltar and 12 in Tenerife). For the sake of research I then logged in my in laws (2 in their cabin) and it shows MORE items available in all areas (INCLUDING THE HORSE SHOW WHICH WAS NOT AVAILABLE WHEN I LOGGED MYSELF IN):confused3 . My best guess is there are only 2-3 slots left in the horse show and it only shows as available those excursion which could accomidate your entire group???? Odd, as I don't think people always take excursions all together.

I JUST posted, and it says 1:50 but it's 3:20pm eastern time. That's 1 1/2 hrs off! Connie

I GOT PROMOTED!!!!!

it is a good news, bad news situation though.....

I am now a Team Manager (night shift lead nurse) of a med-surg unit but the bad news is I have to give up my job in labor and delivery anymore ...although i will moonlight over there a little to keep my skills up!

i needed this promotion to get some management experience in order to move up to hospital management in the future at my hospital but I have to leave my home for the past 8 years on my unit so i am a little scared...not to mention taking care of all those sick people!

Congrats...good luck -

That is odd, but that makes perfect sense. I bet it does that because of the numbers....

The weather person is taunting me. They just led off by sayign we will finally see sun this weekened. But only tomorrow and only in the morning:rolleyes1 A nor'easter is comming though Sunday. The Pollyanna approach is needed here: We should be GLAD because we will not have to mow at all before the vacation.

Our cruise docs are here!

Came 2 day UPS. Called my parents, and they didn't get theirs yet and they are in FL.

There was a sheet for Helpful Hints for your Trans-Atlantic Voyage. In the section about shore excursions all the stuff is about Italy! Ah, Disney.

I just sent out emails/PMs with the info for your matches. In an exercise that taxed my mental powers more than I care to admit, everyone is giving to someone and receiving from someone else, and I did my best to match like to like (couples/individuals/families by age of children).

I sent out confirmation emails when everyone signed up, so unless you signed up and never heard from me, I should have everyone. If any latecomers want to sign up, as long as I have even numbers I can match more people up, but I may not be able to match with a similar demographic.

since ssnyder is coordinating the boards, matbe we should have everyone call her with room changes and she ca then call the board teams to post on all our boards for the first couple of days...then ywe can all adjust the cabin numbers on our papers....

That would work. I was also thinking that we might be able to sort some of them out at the 3:00 meet. That was where I thought I would hand out the boards. Maybe I can get the boards updated right then with the changes before we hand them out. I will also keep a master list of what was posted on the boards as they will need to be erased frequently for new updates. So if you think you missed something, call me and check.

I can create a spreadsheet with the DISboard name and room number, and have a place to change the number. They can be put on the message boards. Would that be easier?

:welcome: new cruisers! I am doing some updating. The deck plans are on the agenda for the weekend. It may be easier to start over! :surfweb:

If there are any changes or corrections just let me know.

Debbie

I need some help with these excursions... After realizing that it will cost us almost $4,000 for excursions ($900 for one excursion alone) we are weeding out non-needed excursions. (We are doing the B2B, that explains the high cost)

Gilbrator: We have explore the rock on your own at $148 total. I heard that once we get off the ship, there are taxis and buses that do these tours, am right? Has anyone found how much they are??

Is anyone doing "Panoramic Gibraltar and Afternoon Tea"?
I wonder if it's worth $104 for 2 people....

I really want to do the horse show, so we may cancel the Flamenco dancing..

Any thoughts...

I would like to test a theory (which I REALLY hope does not pan out).

If you had a gty 12 and now have a room assignemnt, what cat are you assigined, and how many excursions and spa items did you ahev booked BEFORE assignemnts were made:

We have a cat 11 and had booked no shore excursions and no spa treatments.

I have wondered the same thing. We were cat12 and upgraded to a noisy 10 so I called and was switched to a SPH room. We have booked 1 excursion in each port.

Woke up late this morning.
After feeding the dog and getting ready for work, not much time for breakfast.
Taking the trash out in a cold driving rain, one of the bags drop and spills.
Stop to pick-up a paper on the way to work and yesterdays is still in the rack.
Walking into work, my umbrella turns inside out. Twice.

As I enter my work area a co-worker asks-
"Hey, how's your day going?"

Just wonder how all of you would answer that question, using 2 possible answers.
1. Could be better.
2. I've had worse.

I'll post my response later. Time to catch-up with the thread.

Man, there's a country music lyrics in there someplace.

I'm thinking to the tune of "Blood on the sand" from Country Bear Jamboree maybe . . .

Kurt

Or maybe "you don't have to call me darlin, darlin"

My response was " It could be worse".
Heck, no sense getting in a bad mood....got a cruise coming up.

This is a really good website and I have talked to a woman who lives in Gibraltar, and she says you can get around so easily there. The public transportation is great! Cheap and the island is small! I plan to take the public transportation to the cable car and up the rock, then see the apes. And from there, I';m not sure. Connie
