Wonder where Scott has been. Noticed that they are getting snow out there.
Man. I hope we are done with it. Still have the snowblower ready, just in case.:rolleyes1

Scott is on the road, currently stuck in the middle of the state. He might get a chance to post today if he doesn't get out, and is spending the afternoon stuck in a hotel. I am trying to keep up our end of the posting, but I don't usually post as much as Scott. Yes, we are getting some snow, mostly wind. The snow is blowing horizontally at about 20-30 mph. It is really miserable out there today!:eeyore:

OK, I'm getting up early and it is taking me an hour to read 5 pages this morning.

1: YEA!!! The Ahmanson Theatre is bringing Avenue Q here in September (only for a month -HA!), The Color Purple, and the other one I've been dying to see The Drowsy Chaperone (July 2008!) (among others) - I'm so excited!

2: Scoobypop: we're going to Wicked on 9/9, man that would have been funny it we were at the same time. Will you be here for the weekend?

3:Thanks everyone for the ideas about how to log on while at WDW. I was less worried about business and more worried about finding the party on Friday.

4: We have tickets to see Lilly Tomlin the following weekend in Myrtle Beach - can't wait... Nicholas and Mike -- this is one of the best shows I've ever seen!!!! Saw it 15 years ago.

5: Hoagie Pie Hi Everyone - I got nothing in the mail today and my dining time says 6:00. How do you know how full or empty the ship is? Is there a place to look? I am starting to make my signs and they will also be my scrapbooking pages - wish we could make the barbeque - sounds like fun. The weekend is almost here and we are going Cruise shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully we will have our surprise by Keep in mind that there have been some cruises where the door signs have been stolen... I hate to even utter those words, but I don't want you to be heartbroken if it happens.

am tired of doing all the planning all the time...i just ordered the surprises for the kids and realized my hubby would never do any of this...he shows up and enjoys everything but does not enjoy the planning at all...i am not trying to be down but just once i would like for him to surprise me with a special treat!!!
I hear you... this trip has been especially hard because it is so big with so much coordinating to do. It's probably one of the reasons you guys chose each other way back when - one day you'll wake up to a big surprise (of course, it may be when the kids are long gone!!) I am lucky that it doesn't drive my huband crazy, he is very appreciative that we have everything ready and organized. He likes to know where we're going and what we're doing but doesn't care what order, doesn't have many preferences and really goes with the flow. But, we never miss much and have a pretty fun life this way. He just says, "What's next?" I would imagine that if there were two hard core planners in the family it would be much harder.

7: I just realized that CACruisin posted that they are not going on this cruise afterall (several pages back) I've been thinking about you guys and will call this week. I've been wondering how your cruise went? Did you rebook with the discount for the PC? Are you still ready this thread or did you take it off your I'm being tortured list?

I think most of the time when door signs "disappear" that the teenagers do it just to be....well.....teenagers!

Since we don't have very many kids on this cruise, and definitely not many teenagers, I don't think it will be a problem.

(Now that I've said that....my door sign will probably be the first to disappear!)

I have never lost a door sign before. Keeping my figners crossed that I don't this trip. Good point that there are fewer teens on this trip. Also fewer people in general. So hopefully, all of our fully decorated doors will remain up for viewing.

I just fetched the mail in. Still no DCL surprises.:sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

I heard today (from one of those inside sources) that there are only about 1200 people currently booked on our cruise. It wasnt confirmed, but why else would Disney so drastically drop the prices? I agree though, that we should be able to find a seat by the pool.

Interesting! It certainly gives one food for thought as to where we (the gty 12 crowd) might land and what our chances are for a paid upgrade at the port.

Hey, guess what my dh did? He got an email with some really inexpensive offers for air to Orlando and a special offer from the Swan/Dolphin, and he booked us a Sat-Wed WDW trip in late August!! It will be hot and crowded, but what fun! He knows what makes me happy!

Hi,

We haven't received our surprise in the mail yet, either. I wonder if it is because we are a GTY 12 "rebook" from last week. We rebooked for the the $800 savings. I bet that somehow delayed our processing or maybe they are waiting until they assign us a cabin number. I don't know about anyone else, but I am going crazy waiting to see what my number is. Our first cruise (Jan 2004) we received an upgrade. Unfortunately we had to cancel the cruise, though. The next two cruises we didn't get any upgrade and the ship was completely sold out. Let's all send out good vibes for each other!

Godovibes being sent (for all of us--I want the upgrade too--never had one yet).:goodvibes

I'm still thinking we just aren't getting things as fast in some parts of the country as others. Everything was probably sent the same day but it takes longer to get to the northeast, and Michigan than to Florida. At least that is my hope as then we will get something in the next few days still.

Juliekate--do you happen to be familiar with an excellent local musician named Jim Bizer? One of the things we miss about living in Detroit is hearing Jim play live.

I've :woohoo: been lurking for a few days and have oearned so much! I just wanted to out myself and rejoice (yipee!) that I am on that (jumping for joy) cruise across the Atlantic, too!!!!!!!!!!!! Just booked last week!

BTW does anyone know if the Panama trips in 2008 are sold out? Disney web-site won't let me book.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Still need help here-can't find a spot anywhere that says email your ressie.
Please help.

Hi all,

Just returned from the 17th March 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise, and got offered such a good deal on board my husband and I booked the 12 May repo cruise ! :yay:

Now I am back home in the UK I am panicking big time - only a few weeks to shop, sort flights, look at excursions etc.

Have travelled with some of you disers last September on the 11 night Wonder cruise, so looking forward to meeting up again, (we were with our youngest daughter - gismo1554).
Haven't time to read all notices as I am changing jobs on Monday and will have limited internet time, so if anyone can quickly fill me in on whats happening on board, trips etc. would be very grateful. I tried but failed to get a space on the afternoon tea at Palos in September - does anyone know if this will be available again?

We are:
John and Gail Adams
Cabin number is 7614
Dinner seating time is late

Posts were comming in right and left as I was typing! Welcome Gail and John. Go to page 143 and read the top post (as I just said to someone else--do I sound liek a broken record?). ALL the important stuff, like how to get on the list, pre parties, formal night dates, etc is there.

I am in the Chicago area, 43, 8 kids (all still at home), but only 2 little ones will be on the cruise (5 and 2). I have shoulder length grey hair, so you'll be able to spot me for sure on the cruise!!! I'm a SAHM. (Can you imagine how much child care would be??? ugh.)

Hubby is in business so he and I are escaping cell-phone range on the cruise so that we can actually connect without interuptions for a little while.

We've never been on the Magic but have been on the Wonder 3 times. On the Wonder we love dancing the night away, so I've already booked babysitting for every evening!!!!

Thanks-I got it now! You need to use Internet Explorer for your browser-I was using firefox.

I have 6 girls and two boys. The boys are the lucky ones who are coming!

My kids are 17, 15, 12, 12, 10, 7, 5 and 2.

We have too many recitals the first weekend of June, and school finals, and a play for 3 of them, that they need to prepare for, so we just opted to take them on a shorter cruise as a family in November.

I still feel guilty, but really with excursions and airfare, this is more cost effect anyway.
