Lynn, just checked our shore excursions and they were all there. We hope to get switched to the morning Gibralter walking tour.

DCL got everything back the way it was - all excursions and Palos. After all this stress today I need a vacation!
 
It's almost eerie to see DCL run bargains like this. It is so unheard of to see them hit such rock bottome prices (total for our family of 4 $2335). I guess they feel (corretcly, I belive) that they must fill the ship as muc has possible so their staff is not going two weeks without seriously cut pay. Assuming the ship is still relativly empty, we are planning on using some of these great savings to tip even more generously than normal (assuming the same level of service we always get) to help offset the loss to crew by having an empty ship for so long. Has anyone else been worrying about the crew, or is it just me overthinking as usual?

i was worrying about the crew but also my TA...i do not know what they get as far as commision but part of me feels bad everytime i call her and drop to a lower price, i think "does she really hate me because i am costing her $$$?"....she says she loves to get me the best deal but if i am costing her I do feel bad (but show me the money :lmao: )
 
AAAAAAHHH!!!!

My TA just replied that she was able to get us just over $100 back but now all MY excursions are gone too!!!!

TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! :eek:

I'm going to try to rebook them now.

Everything got rebooked except for I lost the "Gibraltar Walking Tour" and now the site won't let me rebook it either.

My TA is, I hope, trying to fight it out for me to get it back....otherwise we got back our Palo Dinner and Brunch, our spa reservation, and all the other excursions.

erik...if you by chance have the confirmation number when you made the ressie DCL should be able to fix it...if you don't it may be more trouble but they should find record of it somewhere on your ressie in the past...that is why i always print out the confirmation page....

i am just glad so many of us are saving money...it helps make up for the crazy airfares on the way home!!!

BTW..has anyone heard from disney about their flight info yet?

Yeah I told my TA that you were told that (and so was I actually when I called DCL directly before going trhough my TA because she wasn't answering her phone when I tried her first). She was horrified that they would lie about that....I told her it's actually the second or third time that people on this board have gotten the "it's not our problem---you must have done something wrong because you're the only one having this problem" line (remember all the drama when half the reservations couldn't book excursions and palo online with us?!?!). I love Disney and I love DCL...but they clearly have some technical glitches to iron out and some resultant customer service issues, too!!

Still no word back from my TA on saving any money but I have gone in and printed off all my confirmation numbers. Was going to do that after but figured with all the confusion then I would print them now just in case.

DCL told me that it was their fault and sent the info to a department just for this type of problems. They had it corrected in a couple of hours. They even admitted that the CM had done a lousy job. I booked through a TA but DCL took care of this for me without going through the TA. I feel better in situations like this not having a 3rd party involved. And now I am back where I started but with more $$$.
 
Mine are all gone too. Called DCL and they pulled up my new ressies and my old one with the excursions and said they would take take care of them for me. Not sure I trust them since they messed up to begin with, so I will be checking my ressies all day just to be sure. All of you that said you could save $800 - check again because the DCL CM gave me that figure but she had the wrong price. I saved $1650 to down grade from an 11 to a 12 so the cost is $2186 for 2 adults and 1 child.

Gydell, the $800 figure is for all of us who were ALREADY in a gty12 and are just getting the lower price on that same cat. Whereas, you are "dropping" a cat. and getting the new lower price on top of it (that is why you are saving so much more at this point than we are).

I'm glad most people seem to be able to ressurect the ressies. We lost ours immediatly, TA noticed immediatley and was able to get everything back for both cabins except mine and David's dinner at Palo. Now, we are stuck dining there on the day we are in Cadiz instead of a sea day, BUT we do get $800 and still get our souffle so I am still pretty happy.
 
The only one that got lost was brunch and the nice folks at Dreams took good care of us!

It is indeed rather distressing, though, that the DCL reaction to computer glitches at their end (shades of the initial booking issues at the 90 day mark!) is "it's your fault, try again onboard."

But at this point, I have all my ressies and paid $800 less so I'm happy!

OK...i have to be honest here...i told y'all i lost my ressies yesterday and i did and i was able to rebook everything except the brunch on may 17...i looked today and only 1 brunch time came up, which was monday may 14 at 11:30...i am sorry if i "stole" someone else's brunch....:blush: :hug:

i do hope everyone gets all their stuff figured out...i plan on waiting in line for addl palo ressies anyway....
 
Hi All, just got home and had an email from my TA saying everything was fixed on Palo and excursions and he was right they were all there. Whew, I guess I was lucky. Sorry everyone for the hassle. Just keep saying extra money in my pocket!
 
YEAH!!!! I got my $800, too!

My TA did it automatically. I called a few hours ago and they told me they already changed mine. They also told me they didn't cancel the ressie, so I never lost any excursions or Palo ressies. ( I checked to make sure, though:thumbsup2 )


I think we need to keep this between us. If we start telling everyone, they will book, too. If the numbers stay low, maybe the price will go down again!

jason and I would buy rubber bracelets....We'd contribute to a fund to buy a bullk of them (like the lanyards) if you want too....the closer this cruise get and the more involved in all the making of stuff for US (I ahven't even THOUGHT about our cabin door yet!!) the more clear it is to me that teaching all your various children to do cartwheels and my charming personality (:thumbsup2 ) are going to have to be "gift" enough from us...because I just don't have time to do anything.....with all the planning, how did this trip sneak up on us?!?! I still have FOUR more business trips before this trip and then I'm off to heaven (vacation)!!:cloud9:

GRRRRRR!!! I just checked our reservation and I still dont' have our Gibraltar Excursion back! We booked the Gibraltar walking tour because it had the apes, teh cable car, the st. michael's cave, AND the great siege tunnels....and now it's not coming up as available on the list at all! I have my original reservation number but it doesn't appear to be helping....GGRRRRRRRRRR!
