Went to MGM today, SOOOOOOOO much better than stinky Animal Kingdom (sorry, I know AK has so many fans, but just not me!!!)

DD wanted to see the High School Musical Pep Rally. It's funny, she is
only 5, has never seen the movie, yet she knows all the songs and everything about it. (blasted Radio Disney:mad: ):lmao:

She wanted to buy some HSM souvenirs, but I could not BELIEVE the price WDW was charging. :scared1: I convinced her that if she waited until we got home, I would buy her two HSM souvenirs from Ebay.

What about those of us on the Eastbound Panama Canal cruise?? I know there has to be more than just me?  :charac2:

Hi Michelle2;

Don't worry you're not alone. :rotfl2:

We're also doing the EB PC in '08, did the WB in '05 so we want to visit the new ports. Not to mention going through the Canal again, what an experience (although I promise to actually eat lunch this passage, totally spaced on it last time). :confused3 :lmao: :lmao:

And, no we're not even trying to follow the other thread. :scared: With limited time to spend on the boards we usually only follow threads that have fun and useful information, like this one. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Since I saw the posts by those of you just now dropping to gty 12 I emailed my TA to see if DCL would adjust our rate down to the newer price. 30 minutes later she called to let us know we are getting $800 per room (us and the in-laws) back:banana:

Many happy dances going on here tonight. Called Hank (Father-in-law) and told him he gets his b-day present 3 days early and it's $800. I sure hope they appreciate me! Actaully they do, and I adore my in-laws (travel with them all the time).

Moral of this story, if you booked a gty 12 a while ago, you may want to contact your TA--Disney won't offer if you don't ask.

Is anyone getting odd blank emails from the disboard webmaster? And if so, why? I've gotten like 6 today.

DCL must be getting desperate to fill this ship! Good for you guys on getting a better rate. I just wonder how they will assign rooms and what kind of upgrade you will get!

I've gotten four in the past hour. Also, as you probably know the board was down for a few hours this afternoon. Clearly some technical difficulties going on.

We've had cat. 11 on two of our crusies and been okay with it, so even if we don't get any upgrade we'll be happy to go along for the ride. That said, we REALLY hope we get to try a cat. 9 or higher (things we've never been in). I may never go back once I see how the other half lives so Disney would be smart to upgrade me if they can.

Adventures by disney is offering a heavily discounted land 7 day trip in Madrid.... trekking from barcelona by plane or train is easy --- heavily discounted as children are FREE! I spent the summer of 2004 as a study abroad photography student at the University of Madrid. Unfortunately, I've already booked my air and post cruise land trip in Ireland..... but I am still mighty tempted!

Just saw the posts re the gty 12s, checked it out on DCL, it is indeed lower, so I emailed my travel agent as well! Hoping to snag $800 in savings!!! (that's what the difference is for us). Major happy dance here.

:worship: :worship: :worship: to everyone who posted about this. You are the best!

I am pretty sure that DCL holds back some spot on the excursions so folks can book onboard.

I sure hope so, because those of us who booked so late were already out of luck on Palo brunches and at sea dinners. I am not used to being a last minute booker...looks like I have alot of stops to make onboard. I am keeping my fingers crossed though.

Well guys, I did the same emailed TA and waiting for morning to hear about more savings - keeping fingers crossed. It's hard for me too being the obsessive planner to not know my fate of room, but we'll still shoot to get there early and pay for the upgrade. thanks everyone.

Yes, I'm still getting the weird notices too!

Yes, we are still on and most excited! I've been gradually bracing Chrissy for Disney Cruise Line's no pet policy...... but he still wants the dolphin to come!

Brent can't wait to meet Christopher! He calls him the nice one because there is a mean Christopher in his class. When will he be 6? Where are you staying before the cruise? We are going to be at the Nick Hotel for 2 days prior to the cruise.

I am hoping to switch to a cat 12 when my TA gets in the office today. I will be saving almost $1700 which should buy an upgrade at the port if there are any left when we get there.

It's almost eerie to see DCL run bargains like this. It is so unheard of to see them hit such rock bottome prices (total for our family of 4 $2335). I guess they feel (corretcly, I belive) that they must fill the ship as muc has possible so their staff is not going two weeks without seriously cut pay. Assuming the ship is still relativly empty, we are planning on using some of these great savings to tip even more generously than normal (assuming the same level of service we always get) to help offset the loss to crew by having an empty ship for so long. Has anyone else been worrying about the crew, or is it just me overthinking as usual?

I do think this is why they are trying to fill the ship. Plus all the money that DCL will make on the extras - pixs, drinks ,and did I say pixs!

Well my TA is out of town until 4-9 and the other one in the office is at a meeting this morning. Hope DCL has alot of cat 12's left since I will not be able to switch this morning. That is the problem with using a TA, I guess.
