Thought for the day: walk the triple layered chocolate gangplank cake!!!

I got curious and went over there to take a peek. Not knowing where to look, I started at the end and worked my way bacjwards, but after a few pages of not finding any good dirt, I left :rotfl:

Good. Maybe everything's calmed down.

I don't blame him either! Wish I could afford to go somewhere warm this week. But we're having a heat wave now....the high temp today was supposed to be 2 degrees, but it's up to 3! Break out the shorts! :rotfl2:

I guess I should go take a shower and put my shorts on! :guilty:

I would not mind either. Although my last cruise was in September also and not to crowded so now I am a little spoiled. Did you catch my name on my sig. Hail to the Queen.:rotfl:

Love the new signature.:thumbsup2 You can be Queen of Everything and I can be Princess of Quite a Lot.

Hi All - Laura here - DH (tentatively anyway) and I ( (most definitely) will be sailing with you all again. I recognize some of the names on the front and hope that someone recognizes me. Anyway, just realized that I forgot to check in here and I can't have that. I will catch up with the posts on Monday as Superbowl day is all booked up.

I was on the Original WB but was more lurker than anything - still hadn't lost my shyness :rotfl2: yet - thanks to some fabulous and friendly people - I am getting much better. Hope this time things go very smoothly and that we are blessed with wonderfully calm seas.

Now if someone can just point me in the direction of the fun list signups........

I'd appreciate it.... :thumbsup2

Welcome aboard Laura!!:hippie:

My family was also on the May 2005 repo cruise. We were like you and didn't do a lot of DIS interaction. Keep up with all 4 kids activites:headache: kept us busy and on the run. Hopefully, with the kids being a little older we can find a little more time for our DIS friends.

I think I missed this Welcome Laura!! Add one more to the Laura, Lisa and Lori's.

Can someone please give my a comparision of the DL hotels to those at WDW. Trying to decide where to stay after the WB repo cruise. Thanks

Hi.

I will be 60 in the March before the cruise, so it will be my birthday cruise!!!:cheer2: Our first cruise too! :) It is great to have other 'older' people on board too - John my husband thinks we may be the odd ones out, so everytime I hear of some our age I let him know!

Marilyn

I'll turn 59 on the cruise! I'm looking forward to being with folks who won't think I'm a little weird for loving Disney!:goodvibes

The hotel situation at DL is VERY different from WDW. There are only a couple of hotels "on property."

There are also a lot of hotels that are "off property", but located literally across the street from the parks, so you can just walk over.

We stayed off property, but our walk to the parks was about the same as a walk to a WDW bus stop at your hotel.

This weather is beyond ridiculous. DH is threatening not to come home from Miami. Can't say I blame him.

The weather is the same here in Ohio. Windchills advisorys or warnings I don't know which one, all is it is cold!!! With the windchill feels like -20!!! The dog loves it, silly thing, although we don't let her stay out very long even for dogs it's too cold!!!

we;re back! Looks like I need to catch up!

We had a GREAT time, the weather was ok, sprinkling but nothing too terrible except for the 60 degree weather today!

Parts of FL were hit really hard with the storm, luckily not us nor any family that are in the area. Prayers out to anyone who may have been affected....it looks like a lot of damage.

The Pirate and Princess party was fantastic and hands down the best firworks I have ever seen.

Count me in!! :yay:

The 2005 westbound repositioning was soooo much fun that I just had to do it again! I'll be sailing with my godchildren (14, 9, and 1 at time of sailing) and their parents. We have a cat. 6 and a cat. 8 both on deck 6 and are waitlisted for early dining. I'm excited to see so many Disfriends from prior cruises and look forward to getting to know everyone before the cruise!

We're looking forward to WDW for a couple of nights pre-cruise and the Grand Californian at DL post-cruise!

Liz

Yeah Liz!!!!!

We snorkled at Castaway Cay, my DH scuba dived in Curacao (it was wonderful he said and the water was warm); we didn't do any water thing in Acapulco. In Mazatlan we did a kayak and snorkel thing which was fun. I think it was Mazatlan though that a bunch of swimmers from the ship got in the water on one of the excursions and got bit by jelly fishes. We will have to see if Tony remembers that. In Cabo we did a private excursion arranged by our good friend and a group of about 16 of us went on an excursion driving 4 wheelers through the desert! It was a blast! So, we didn't get in the water in Cabo either, but there were tons of people at the beach and out on Kayaks there.

That's my recollection of the trip. For more details I'll have to get out my scrapbook to refresh my memory.

Maybe I ought to just put my scrapbook (or should I say scrapbooks-it took 2) next to the computer so I can go back and look when someone asks questions about the last time.

Jelly Fish stings happened in Cabo - Adrienne and Eric & Rene went snorkling there, and several people got stung. They also said that the water was pretty cold.

Funny you should mention having your scrapbook close at hand. Mine has been sitting right next to my computer for the past few days. :lmao:

As someone said, you don't have as many choices as you do in WDW. There are three onsite hotel - The Disnyeland Hotel, Paradise Pier and the Grand Californian. The latter is the only hotel that's actually within a park; Disney's California Adventure and is supposedly a beautiful hotel.

Hi add us to the list. It is myself (Kathy) my daughter who will be 16 when we sail and my mom. (not allowed to say her age) I'm leaving husband & 2 older sons home. Just a girls only trip. We are in a Cat 5 & my mom is in a Cat 11. Hopefully they will be close to each other.
