DH loves DC too. He was a drum major in our high school band. We're both band geeks. We don't get a chance to see DC much, but they do have a competition in Ankeny every year we try to get to.

Hi.

I will be 60 in the March before the cruise, so it will be my birthday cruise!!! Our first cruise too! It is great to have other 'older' people on board too - John my husband thinks we may be the odd ones out, so everytime I hear of some our age I let him know!

Definitely not the odd ones out. On this cruise, I think those of us with school age children will be the minority. I'm not complaining, though. That Mickey pool was a madhouse during our spring break cruise. I'm looking forward to calmer environment.

Glad we have a nice bunch of folks here. Took a peek at the EB repo thread (couldn't resist). They had a little dust-up and have already received a warning from the moderator, but hopefully it will all blow over and people will play nice.

Off to bed. Turned on the electric blanket so the bed should be warm. It's just frigid here. Talked to DH tonight, who is still in Miami. He was stuck inside editing all day so didn't enjoy any of the warm weather. He says he's not coming home until we get above freezing here. I told him he better come home Monday no matter what. He has media passes to the Superbowl tomorrow, but only to the media center, which is in the parking lot. He doesn't know if he'll go. Not big football fans here at my house.

I got curious and went over there to take a peek. Not knowing where to look, I started at the end and worked my way bacjwards, but after a few pages of not finding any good dirt, I left

Great link, thanks. I do a lot of traveling for business and do not check my bags, so I need prodcuts to stay under the 3 oz. limit. Bed, Bath and Beyond is a great source for travel size items.

I don't believe I own a Freak Flag, but am thinking you can buy them at the Spanxx store? If I locate one, is there a special holiday for flying it?

Our first cruise was part of a land/sea winter break holiday. I didn't even know that the Mickey pool was actually Mickey until late in the second day! There were so many kids in the pool and the water was no longer crystal clear (ahem!) just keeping track of our dd was a chore! I second the calmer environment. My darlin' girl loves the pools any way she can get them though!

Ok, I have been playing with a website design, since I signed up on this thread, it is very simple, will be a place for each family to post a picture and short blurb about themselves, host a roll call (possibly with e-mails added to it,) A plans/event page and welcome/recent news page. It would have a sign-in name and password, to protect anyones private info (photos, home town, e-mails etc.)

I would think that between Laura and I we can manage to get all the info into one contained space and then we can party on this meet thread without anyone feeling they have to slog through every single post to keep up to date.

What do you all think?

I don't blame him either! Wish I could afford to go somewhere warm this week. But we're having a heat wave now....the high temp today was supposed to be 2 degrees, but it's up to 3! Break out the shorts!
