Just heard from my TA and I quote:

" I just spoke with my IC connection and she said they’re not even starting to work that list yet. I’ll keep calling weekly to see if there is any news. Apparently they got a FLOOD of requests for the re-positioning cruises.

If you have any dates even further out than that, let me know. Apparently she has faxes on her desk for space requests as far out as 2010. Sure wish they’d build a couple more ships!"

Birkner,

Do you think this ship will fill quickly? Are there categories we will not be able to get because of IC requests?

I do not think that all of IC requests are for Mexico but for summer 2008. My understanding from other posts is that the suites will not be released on 1/31 but will be coming from previous IC requests. I requested a suite but told TA that I will take any verandah if suite is not available so not sure how that will work.

I am just guessing that this particular cruise will not fill as quickly as some of the other dates. However, saying that, if it were me and I wanted to go on this cruise, I would book the first day. I don't think the IC will fill the ship but it is just my opinion.

Any other thoughts???

We are hoping for a verandah as well. :) We had a verandah last time and loved it.

Just hear from TA and I quote:

"Because of the demand, I put you on the waitlist for ANYTHING. If you come up and it’s not what you want, I suggest we still deposit and wait for the cancellations to start before making a final decision. You can always get a refund later if you don’t clear for the type of room you want. It’s amazing how popular these sailings are!!! "

What a relief!!

Is you TA 'Disney Certified'? I know my TA is just going to go in, make cat requests (ie three cat 5 starbord, four cat 11 deck 7 starboard, etc) and after they pull the rooms out of inventory, then she will assign names and then she will work on getting everyone all on the same floor/area/etc...we figure we will not be perfect when we start, but after some people drop out when deposits are due and she has a chance to talk with DCL and suffle us around we should be fine.

She is terrific artist!!

:surfweb:

She really is!!! That took her about an hour last night. She wanted to get it posted and then work on a 'better' version...she normally doesn't like to share her work, but she thought this was fun so she went for it

Yes she is certified. Since she has booked DCL for us before, she knows exactly what we want. I will let her book whatever she can get and do just exactly the same as your TA does. Since she has been through this with 2005 Mexican cruise, she knows what to expect, that is why I verified with her our status on the waiting list.

Since it is just DH and I this time and not the whole cast and crew, it is much easier for her.

We too will be calling in on the 31st hoping for ANY cabin. If we are able to reserve a cabin - we are IN!!

Hey all you western bound pirates---
We be looking for Susan and Lisa and can't find em anywhere. Did you steal them too?

Good Sunday to all of you...Roll call has been updated with the latest and greatest.

By the way, I think we need to get a really cool graphic for our cruise. The Reposession Repo cruise is definately on the ball, so anyone want to volunteer for the task of getting one put together for us?

My DD is majoring in Visual Communications, aka as Graphic Design. I just sent her some info and hopefully she'll have the time to sit at her 'puter and whip something up.

Wow, just noticed the East bound cruisers are over 1000 posts ahead of us!!

Must be a real talkative bunch!!

I think the Eastbound cruise is going to wind up being more popular than ours because of the August date (less kids in school, etc). I hope so, because maybe then they'll be more cabins for us!

A girl can dream, right?

I think I'm getting obsessive about this cruise. I actually looked at the deck plans and came up with a list of cabins I'm most interested in and the ones I'm least interested in. Of course I"ll take whatever they give me and just be happy that we're booked. IF we get booked! It sounds like booking is going to take awhile. I read somewhere that they're not even going to book anyone on the 31st, just take waitlist records and then call people back with their booking possibilities.

If we have to wait much longer than the 31st I'm going to be ill  with stress!

I am just hoping for a cabin on this cruise. So, do you think there will be more empty nesters, homeschoolers and singles on this cruise?

Any thoughts??
