The news just reported that a 38 year old business man from Maryland just got told by a geneologist that he is a direct decendent of the last king of the Isle of Man off the northwest coast of England. They told him to come and claim his kingdom. He is now King David. WOW!!!

We were just talking about believing in fairy tales....this is a real one come true!!!

Marilyn, have you heard about this yet?

V- What's "Kids Under the Weather"?

Great news- DSis was accepted to college today! She's going to SUNY Binghamton, which is what she wanted. They have a great engineering program for her, and the state school tuition isn't too crazy

DH used his last vacation day today. We did a good deed and helped clean out my grandmother’s garage so that she can fit her car in there. She was so happy! Now she doesn’t have to worry about it getting covered in ice. We wound up finding a bunch of my stuff in the garage, which I took home with me. There were two bins filled with stuffies, so Olivia thinks it’s Christmas already! I’m a sap, but I was so glad to see my cabbage patch dolls and my pound puppy.

Kid's Under the Weather is a program we have at the hospital for "sick" kids. I quote sick because it is basically only for fevers, colds, etc...nothing contagious like chicken pox, pink eye, etc. It is a seperate floor on the hospital with rooms set up throughout like the child care center...it's really pretty nice although I know when I am sick I want to just be in my own bed and I am sure the girls do as well, but with using 4 days PTO this month I really need to work, plus I have a meeting at 8AM with the Director of the Cath Lab that I can't miss. It is nice though because the county, school board, some other large local companies all have contracts with us so their employees can use it as well. It goes up through the end of middle school age. They are so nice there and usually there aren't that many children so they get spoiled....Haley has been once or twice before and oh my, they held her and rocked her all day.

well I never got a hold of John...I picked up the girls and really...I am not sure how accurate the under the arm thermometer is. Haley seems fine now. But we went to Publix, I got them some Cars chicken soup - because now, Samantha thinks she is feeling bad...some orange juice, some popsicles, and stuff for dinner and arrived home to no John...no note, no call, no nothing.....I guess I knew he went to work out but I was thinking he didn't go on his days off..oh well.
Haley is in a warm tub now and Samantha is watching once upon a christmas waiting for her turn.

I couldn't find my reindeer but I found a dancing chicken and I got my pickle back even if it is a bit bigger!

I'd love to do the roast, not sure how large for 10 people...several of them good eaters.

My standing rib roast was 6.66 lbs, 3 ribs and we had 3 men/3 women. The med had huge slices with the ribs and the women had smaller slices. There were 3 or 4 slices of beef left. If you get a 4 rib roast, that should be big enough. My 3 rib was $53 at Costco.

All the championship classes are the final weekend, of course. Looks like pretty good timing. I'd recommend checking out accomodations options now, even if you're not sure yet, just to get an idea of what's around and prices. Do you own/have time share points/exchanges? There are some great resorts in Scottsdale. You can also look at North Phoenix (where I live) too. If you really think you might be considering this, PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

Well, if I ever get an assignment, maybe we'll be on the same deck! I originally had a deck 6 aft assignment before the debacle with my reservation. My perfect choice would be deck 7 aft...after that, deck 6 aft....after that anywhere else on the ship.

Home computer d.e.a.d dead. Darling brother-in-law will start working on it this weekend. So I'll be home on vacation next week with NO INTERNET! Perhaps I'll actually get something done around the house.....perhaps I'll be at Peg's all day using her computer...he he. At least her puppy dogs would like that

OK...planed on leaving work at 5:30 to shop and wrap. It is now 7:07PM and here I sit. Visited DCL, CruiseCritic and here. Time to go take care of business.

Gydell and Marilyn....roomies....check this out.....I just called DCL and asked when I was going to get a room assignment. They said not until close to our sail date. I said I wanted to request deck 5 aft and she said to contact DU and have them call DCL to put in my request. I just emailed DU and told them what DCL said.

Darn! No assignments until close to our sail date.....looks like we're stuck in these lifeboats for good!
