Not sure I have enough photos that are interesting. I seem to have taken loads going into and coming out of Castaway Cay!!! Well you have to keep trying for that perfect picture don't you?:rotfl:

We don't like having our photos taken really and of course no children to snap either. Our friends are not in the least bit interested in our vacation.:lmao:

I keep it in Nero and save me to find which one :lmao:

Maybe good for family that you can send your photos with nero to your family? Just a thought.

disneylover5,
Sorry about your news about your DFIL. I don't know his medical history, but, as far as post-op pneumonia while on the vent goes..unfortunately it happens. They have a lot of wonderful antibiotics out there. And it is not at all uncommon to have to go back on the ventilator when being weaned off. Having said that, I know from personal experience (my DH and I have lost all our parents) that it is so hard to watch a loved one need something and feel so helpless. You are doing the best thing you can do by being there and holding his hand while you talk to him about everyone he loves...Vicki

Thanks for the advice. As many here have said, losing your parents is very difficult. My dad just up and died one night in 1999 (heart attack) and my DMIL passed away 2 1/2 years ago. That was pretty horrible. She had a stroke and was in a complete coma for 10 months before she passed. We were going to see her every day, but as time wore on, we did not go everyday. She was not on any life support at all......if she had been we would have turned it off, as she would not have wanted to live that way. Although it was a shock when we lost my dad, I think in the long run it was easier than my DMIL. She suffered so much and it was for nothing at all.

Deb...I run a weight loss program at the office...it is a physician monitored program that I put myself on occasionally...this year I am starting it with a 7 day liquid detox and then 5 weeks of the diet program. Not so sure how well I'll do, but I'm giving it my best! We are going to Mexico (ziehuatenejo) in March for 10 days!
Noel, have a great trip and a great birthday!
Lisa, so sorry to hear that he is back in a coma

Gosh, I have never done a diet like this one. I have heard of detox....how exactly does this work? I would really my DH to lose those 40 pounds....each time I have him diet, he cheats....and he is doing nothing but gaining weight now. With his dad so sick, (and Frank weighs 350 pounds...mostly belly fat), I am thinking I can "scare" Don into losing weight. Don's bother is also very over weight, like close to 400 pounds. He says he has started Weight Watchers again....he has be down under 300 pounds, but always puts the weight back on. So, as you can see, it is in Don's gene's....right now he weighs 235 pounds....but I can see balloning up over 300 very easily.

Hi All!!! The tree is half decorated, I need to finish it today. Somehow I kept getting distracted yesterday and doing other things, so it didn't get finished.

Marilyn, your pics are awesome!!! I really LOVED seeing them. Thank you so much for posting....the castle was my favorite. I can't believe we were right there and forgot to go see it. Oh Well, next year.

I checked my ressie today, I'm still in the lifeboat....at least I have roommates.

oh my, I need to do some shopping. There is nothing under my tree.....and Tebow has gone through most of the water.

John and the kid made it to work today....he took the truck down the farm field next door to us, they let us use it, to the car parked at the bottom of the driveway....then switched over to the car and left the truck parked at the bottom. There's no way I'm getting out until the ice melts. I won't even make it down or up using the field....another day or two since it's warmed up to the 40s......V is that a strange statement to you....warmed up to the 40s. HA HA HA:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

yes...it was 47 here this am...still chilly out. I walked over to Walgreens to get some Claritin...nothing is working for me!

All my christmas shopping is done. I'm just waiting to receive one more item for John, then I'm finished and it's time to start wrapping.

Tomorrow night we're going to Sandi and Joe's to say goodbye and give the kids their gifts and give Joe his birthday gift. Then they leave on Thursday.

We'll all spend this weekend wrapping and we'll get it all done and be completely ready. Then it's time to start getting excited because we'll have presents to open! I love christmas with lots of presents under the tree....my mom didn't spoil me too much did she!!!

The DSL repairman is here to fix our DSL. It's not connecting. Thank goodness I have the broadband access to use as a back up.

The poor guy walked up the driveway.....he said it was hard, but he made it and he's young....20 something.

The first year we moved in here....8 years ago....we had no plow, no truck, no snow blower and we got snow every other day....lots of it. We had to park on the bottom and walk up the driveway the whole winter. I remember walking in snow up to my theighs. It was hard and slow going, but we did it. Not no more. Now we're ready for snow, so what happens.....now we get ice storms.

sounds fun. We are going to my mom's on Sunday to celebrate and then my dad and the inlaws are coming over on Xmas day. Not sure what to serve.....I went all out on Turkey day and had tons left. I am thinking maybe lasagna and salad and bread? Not very Christmassy I know.

I thinbk lasagne, salad and bread would be so good. If we had had a Thanksgiving dinner then I would be wanting something different.
