Good Luck John - I'm sure after what I heard that you deserve it!

No bonuses here - the economy has killed that.

V - here is a photo of what you missed when you guys could not stay to see the lights. Remember this "tree" at the Osborne lights?

OOOOOOOOoooooh! Very pretty!

I know I am way behind Holly, but am getting worried I am going to read you have burned your house down! I have NEVER used a torch on any plumbing, unless I was doing copper soldering - so I am really not sure about the torch idea.

I would think you just need a good pipe wrench, and some adequate leverage. But, saying that, I HATE doing plumbing!

Good to see you back online John. Missed your pithy posts!!

gee, now Tebow weighs 31 lbs....so that threw him in the next weight category for boarding. It was $62 for F, S and S....not sure if that is good or bad?

A few more of the lights, and I have to go to bed - work tomorrow . . .

I hope he gets his bonus! Fingers & toes crossed for him! :goodvibes And that reminds me.....we usually get our Christmas bonus the payday before Christmas which will be this Friday! :yay:

For Lexi for 5 days it was $70. $14 per day.

Good night everyone!

John, I can relate. My DH took a HUGE paycut when he went to the start up!! No bonuses period which for many years was our MAIN source of income. Let us just hope company stock will be worth it!!

Wow!! That seems expensive as we used to have the dog sitter come twice a day for two dogs at $30.00 a day but of course, that was a few years ago.

Ok I can't catch up yet...have tons of things I have to do instead of what I want to do...but needed to sneak on to say.....JACK WON!!! Thanks everyone for there vote. Jack is very excited to be able to to be one of 6 fans to go on the ice on the last game (April 1) in front of 17,000 fans! We appreciate you taking to the time to vote...it was our little mini American Idol with no talent needed!

Here is the site that lists him as the winner! http://sharks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NHLPage&id=19574

YAY FOR JACK!!!! :dancer:

Okay have to laugh at this, as Paul hates plumbing too, but I'm a die hard do it yourselfer, from when I bought my first house in 1990, it was a total fixer upper and I was always strapped for cash, so it was my boyfriend (the lawyer) to the plumbing rescue when we met in '92. I think he liked the challenge at first, but then learned to hate plumbing. He also had a repair a leak in our copper pipes once at our beach house..not a good weekend :rolleyes1

Holly I have to agree with John, torch on copper only, I've never heard of it to loosen a pipe. Double and triple check. Try googling it too!

Sorry for your loss V.

Lisa, good luck on the surgery for DFIL, sounds like things are on the upside there.

John loved the lights. That was the one thing we missed on our '05 trip.

Gotta get some dinner, I'm starving popcorn::

Hi I hope everyone is well.

Off to the hospital again. Taking care of one elderly is hard.....I am finding two almost impossible.

Don't forget to take care of you too!

Hi everyone! Oh my!!! Is there really over 2,000 pages to this thread? WOW! Needless to say I'd miss the boat if I tried to read all these pages, so could everyone just say who they are and where they're from so I can catch up?
We're super excited about this cruise. We're DH, DD5 and DS (who is newly adopted and will be 3 on the cruise) and myself. We're from NH and this will be our 3rd Disney Cruise.
Mala

Welcome! It is me and DH cruising - this will be our 4th cruise - all in DCL. We're living in San Diego - but originally from PA.

Wow!! That seems expensive as we used to have the dog sitter come twice a day for two dogs at $30.00 a day but of course, that was a few years ago.

Our pet sitter charges $27 a day for one 30 minute visit for our 3 kitties.

Congratulations!!!

we have a house sitter who stays over night our dogs are so spoiled they sleep in our bedroom...we pay her $40 per night. It's a good deal on both our parts. She is a college student and shares a place with 5 other roommates. So she enjoys our house peace and quiet and makes so spare money too.:woohoo:

Sounds like when we lived in IL - had a friend without cable who moved into our house when we would be out of town. We even had all the pay stations (HBO, etc.). I'm not sure he went to any classes when we were gone or even moved off the couch! (he did it for free & whatever was in the fridge)

I wish we had someone we knew that would stay here but the cats really like the petsitter - we've had the same one now for 3+ years. Plus she's licensed and bonded as this is a business for her.

If you are thinking about EMBROIDERED PILLOWCASES for your next cruise.

PLEASE DON'T ORDER IT FROM

doodles*dots*n*dimples (1723), her name is Dawn McLaughlin.

I didn't order it from EBAY, I order the two embroidered pillowcases for last Med Cruise. Trouble that I never received the good things which I pay by the paypal.

Last month, I caught her through EBAY and I managed to email her by ebay email as she was refused to answer home email. Bob and Candy D gave me her home email and she is her friend!!

Her Ebay mentioned that she don't selling the things to oversea:scared1: I wonder why she took my paypal!!:scared1:

It is 8 months now I have been waiting for it and very expensive that I had paid her. She refused to give my refunds. I had asked her lots of question about delivery when, who, . She didn't give me the answer:scared1:

So here is a warning, please don't order it!! I am now filling the dispute from Paypal.

I am learning that my mistake now.:scared:

Thank you for the warm welcome. We booked this cruise last February while on board the magic but I haven't allowed myself to become obsessive with the DIS board again until we were near 150 days or so. :rotfl:
I've done the eastern and western carib. How will the shows, menus, and activities be different on the repo cruise?

They bring different cast on for different shows and they have a diiferent menu eveery night some to flovor the country we are in.

How is the water shortage going? Any relief in sight?

No relief! When we do get rain it's just drizzle. We are suppose to have some this week-end, have to wait and see.

Maddie weighs about 30 lbs and its $48 a night and bath required after 3 nights. When we had 2 dogs my DH use to say it cost more to board them than our vacations!
