YEP!

Oh please tell! Who was the "most normal" of them all?? I was waiting for your answer to this one as I knew you had a lot to mention!

I think the biggest surprise for me was someone I expected to be all ego, but he was a gentleman and interested in everyone else. That was Geraldo Rivera. Now I spent more time with him than I normally get to do, as we were at a station party and I was sort of 'squire-ing' him around, so I got to see him interact with the clients and guests. So now when I see him on TV I no longer  'cause I know there's a nice man behind all that!

The most fun encounter was getting to drive Matt Lauer around in a golf cart! :car: (closest I could come to a golf cart smilie).

There were a few years where we had local late night talk show and I got to meet and greet quite a few people, but not much more than a handshake. The FUN ones were when we had NBC celebs as guests at our fall premier parties....David Hyde Pierce was a RIOT!

....ok, back to work....

Holly - WELL DONE ON YOUR CONTINUING WEIGHT LOSS :thumbsup2

I have noticed. Obviously these last 4lbs are what have gone from you know where!!!!!:lmao:

It's the last weekend for our local drive in movies....POC3 is playing....I just called Sandi and said we have to go....now I have to talk John into it. Wish me luck! I know he wants to see the movie, not so sure he wants to go to the drive in for it....especially now that the weather has turned....it's going to be cold out there.....I say we just bring blankets and wine and we'll keep warm! Gotta go see it!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Karen and V....hope you're feeling better....get some rest and keep drinking fluids!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Mmm, watching a film for 3+ hours in a car in the cold - nononono, not even for Johnny Depp.

ok almost dinner time....!

I realized I didn't answer my own question post...but I have been fortunate to meet so many "famous" people. Although, I have maintained...we all have an autograph! Most of my celebs are sports starts though. My sister and I walked into the Indians training room at the Winter Haven complex...Johnny and my "brother" John were outside but hey, we met everyone! My sister's dad (or my other dad) is a big wig for Budweiser - he used to be with Pepsi but whenever I am with him we do it up right, limo's, sky boxes, etc. (he lives in Houston) My best friend and I met Liza Minelli - which was huge for me, this was when I was in highschool and still dreaming of becoming a star on broadway....the majority of the Houston Astros - have a 1/2 posterboard with all their sigs, the Rockets...he's bugging us to come up for a Texans game. So many different sports starts at various events like ESPN weekend (Herschel Walker, Steve Smith, etc)....I can't even really tell you who all I have met. Britney Spears, Christina, Justin Timberlake, Lindsay Alley, rest of the Mickey Mouse Club before they were big....(the new)....Gus Giordano, Anne Reinking, and many other "dance" celebs....wow, I have been around!!

Johnny has met tons as well, his most memorable....or infamous now was OJ Simpson at age 7 (John is now 43)....he so aspired to be him. He told his dad he wanted to be an NFL football player like OJ what did he have to do -- which started him running. Thus inspiring his track career.....he has a pic somewhere which I hope he can dig up. He also had the guy who did our stained glass windows do a painting of one of OJ's pics - it's a watercolor and it's awesome. This was all before the whole white Bronco thing.

Oh Deb, that sounds so fun! Come on John, you can do it! Just cuddle to keep warm! :goodvibes

Well, I know we have a few cruisers out of town this weekend, a few sick folks, Lisa is enjoying Daniel's visit, and the sports fans are probably wrapped up in watching a game. Everybody's busy or gone, so there's nobody here to play with me!

So tired from being mentally drained this week, I never thought I'd make it through the long day today. Now I get to hang out and relax on the couch until tomorrow afternoon! THIS time, I'm actually going to do nothing but sit around and watch tv because my brain needs to unwind. :goodvibes

Sitting all nice and cozy under my llama blanket. :cloud9: I have all the lights in the house turned off so anybody driving by will think I'm asleep. That way nobody will think they can stop for a visit. I'm too tired for company, but not ready to go to sleep yet.

For those of you here on the 26th...If anyone wants to meet up 730pm or later...let me know.

I will be there if you want to meet up! I'm travelling with another Disbuddy and we're spending the whole day in Epcot. We weren't able to get into Le Celier, so we're just going to cruise around the F&W booths. It's out last night in WDW, so they'll have to drag me out of the park well after Illuminations!

OK guys . . . about the 26th . . .

We are going to be at Epcot during the day - meeting PJ at 2:00, meeting up with Vanessa and John too, and we have an ADR at Marakesh with V and John for 4:00.

Evening though . . . I just bought tickets yesterday for MNSSHP for that night - and that is from 7 to midnight. Thus the early dinner ADR. So we will be there in the evening. Yeah, we are cramming a lot into a day because of the short stay, but we want to experience a bit of Food and Wine, and we promised Sophia MNSSHP since she will now miss TOT here.

John- I'd love to meet up with you guys at 2 pm! Like I said above, I'll be in Epcot all day.

Deb- I hope you got to the movie tonight!! That sounds really fun.

Olivia is feeling much better today (thank goodness)! I have SO much to do tomorrow to get ready for our company, but luckily DH has the day off so he can help.

Off to the dentist this afternoon. :scared:
I hate, hate, HATE the dentist. I keep thinking I should ask for the laughing gas before the clean my teeth because I just HATE it so much. It makes me very anxious, not sure why.

So....I would say none of my "star meetings" have been typical:lmao: Lisa (calmom) since you mentioned KH being one of your favorites, I'll share this too....She lived in Old Saybrook, CT in a community called Fenwick. It was primarily a summer community (golf course, membership required, gated entry, etc) and my best friend in HS had her summer home there...just 5 miles down the road from where we usually lived. During the summers I would spend most of my time there...and we would have lots of "fun" at night! Katherine kept to herself mostly but she did not enjoy us being loud. So most nights, we were guarenteed a visit from her yelling at us to keep it down! It became a pattern. She was a very private woman and although I met her many times (some not in the best circumstances!:lmao: ) you never really felt like you met her. You could not get into the area without being let in by the guards so most sunny days boaters would try and pull up to the docks and get in that way to catch a glimpse of her or her home. It was crazy and showed me at a young age how little privacy famous people really get. :sad2:
Love the story! Thanks so much for sharing! Lisa

I saw Geraldo Rivera speak (along with about 10,000 other people!) and I was really impressed.

Great stories. So do tell....what do you think of Britney??

People come by and visit without calling?? That would drive me insane! Keep those lights off and stay nice and cozy! Lisa

Gina, I'm so glad Olivia is feeling better! :yay: Have a great time with your game day party tomorrow! Sounds like fun! :woohoo:

Only one person comes by out of the blue like that and it's only when on the way to or from visiting a buddy nearby. And I extended the open invitation to stop over any time because most people know I'm usually up until midnight. Usually....just not tonight after a very hectic week!

Sorry you're feeling tired and antisocial (that's me MOST nights!)
Being antisocial is definitely not the norm for me, but I've been so stressed out this week, I just sort of feel like being alone with mindless TV to sort of decompress. It's working because I'm feeling very relaxed and warm under my cozy llama blanket on my couch! :cloud9:

Ooooh, cozy blankets are the best! I have like half a dozen blankets on or around my couch for snuggle purposes.

I ate a WHOLE 12-inch Subway sub tonight after class! Now that's some MAJOR comfort eating going on! :rotfl2: And that's after I'd eaten a bunch of snacky stuff in all my classes today too. Oh well.....it made me feel better, so it's all good! :thumbsup2
