Hi all,

Just doing a drive-by Hi and to say we will be heading to Disneyland on October 17th. We actually arrive a day earlier, but don't plan on visiting the park that day. We are off from school for 'fall break'. We are staying off-site at Hotel In-Law. Just wondering if anyone else is planning a visit.

. . . I don't know if Peg was assigned to a team, I'll ask when I see her today (if SHE remembers)! If not, we could probably use her on the one I'm on, as we lost Clynne.

Again, I'm saddened that Clynne and family have canceled this cruise. We cruised with them last year, and they are the nicest family one could ever hope to meet.

We are still at the beach...the weather has been beautiful. We went to the beach on Sat and we shopped at the outlets all day today. I hope to go to the beach tomorrow, before we go back.

Bethany Beach is doing restoration of the beach and it is terrible. They are building a 12 foot dune next to the boardwalk on the ocean side so you can not longer sit on the boardwalk and see the ocean.

On our anniversary! Can you believe?? To Stanford for Pete's sake!! Stanford!! OY!!

Hi all...DH & I were at that game last night at the Collesium. Our friend has season tickets and he's away for the season, so he gave them to us (21 rows back at the 10 yard line-unbelievable seats)!!! It really was shocking to see Stanford win it in the last minute of the game. USC was blowing it right and left, I really don't know what was with them. Perhaps they thought it was going to be a piece of caked since Stanford has been terrible (I think they've only won one game this season), I dunno but it was a depressing sight to see all those long faces leaving the game!!! The last time USC lost at home was 6 years ago...to...Stanford! The half time show was pretty funny, USC's band re-enacted Stanford band's SNAFU that happened about 8 years ago when they ran onto the field before the game was over and the team was basically running through them to make the TD. It was pretty funny, OUCH!!!

I'm so glad for you that the weather held over and you had a beautiful weekend at the beach.

I'm concerned about what Bethany Beach does because that will be my beach in just a few years. Nov 1 last year we closed on our land. That means we'll be moving in four more and buidling in three more years. Time flys! It won't be long until we live in Laurel and I can do Bethany Beach any day or weekend.

I'm glad they restored the sand, but I'm not happy about the dunes blocking the boardwalk view. I suppose there's nothing that can be done about it.

Doggy boot camp!

After the 'Boot Camp' television programmes we had they did a Dog Boot Camp!!! It was quite good surprisingly. Owners had to go too of course but they got fantastic results with troublesome dogs.

Marilyn, it was a really warm day here today too. I should have been mowing the lawn but my daughter called and asked if I'd like to go for a walk, and I do need to condition myself for my trip in 2 weeks So we walked 40min to the mall, bought SIL a birthday card and walked another 40 min home. And it was HOT! It was 30C which is about 82 or 83F I think? Very humid. How was your walk? I know what you mean about how fast the weather can change in Florida. Two years ago I was at WDW in Oct during hurricane Wilma. My first few days it was so hot and humid...then came Wilma...overnight the temps dropped dramatically, needed a jacket the next day...but a couple of days later, as I was leaving, the temps were nice and warm again.

It was really lovely but cooled quickly. I think we are in for a nice week I think. Not hot, but very pleasant.

Holly, I was thinking about our Nov. mini meet....I want to see Karen in the afternoon before 4pm and Marilyn after 7pm....so I thought that maybe after lunch would Tyler and Bethany like to come back to our hotel and swim in the pool? We're staying right down the road from Downtown Disney. We also have mini-golf right next to our hotel. We could keep the kids busy with one or the other or both and have dinner then go back to Downtown and meet Marilyn.

We're staying offsite at Staybridge Suites so we have a full kitchen and living room.....very doable....we could order in Pizza for dinner....the kids love that! Not sure what your schedule is like with Heather, but it's okay with us if you have the time.

Monica, you're welcome to join us for the full day as well, even if Holly and Heather can't do it....then we could go back to Downtown and see Marilyn.

What do you say guys....are we doing a Marilyn meet too?

Aren't you so lovely thinking about me. Please don't alter your plans too much for me though as our flights have a habit of being delayed and then we wouldn't get there!!! You would all be sitting around waiting.

I noticed the work on the webcam. Why are they building a big dune that blocks the view? Do you have erosion problems there? Seems an odd decision.

I love Rugby!

When you are up for it, take a day trip here and see the dune. I thought it was 12 feet high....it is 16 feet high and they are going to get rid of the stairs done to the beach and build a ramp over the dune.....

It will be very different....

The beach is now HUGE!! It has been so crowded the last few years so that will certainly help that problem,

Another night of being up well past midnight and up by 5am. Ugghhh.....and this is only Monday! It's sure to be a long week at this rate. Wish I could sleep for a week, but have way too much homework and also have to start my 20 page paper. Well, have to actually choose my topic and start my research. My goal is to have my research done by the end of this weekend. Wish me luck!

Oh, you will. Just as much as usual. I take very frequent breaks. I'm the sort of person whose mind can't focus on a task for longer than 1/2 hour at a time, so I take a break and then hop back to it.

wow you guys have been busy....

I was a bit MIA this weekend. My dad came down, we went out to dinner on Saturday night and then Sunday he did the triathalon. Yesterday we hung out by the pool, watched football....and enjoyed the cleaned house! I hope it stays that way for a while.

I read that the times changed for Acapulco...that is great, I would love to leave at night to see the city all lit up. And I think they have a night showing for the divers.
